Chris Caven, the owner of USA Roofing, did the inspection and bid the job. I had four other bids and his was the best and lowest one we were given. A neighbor had used them and they did a great job for them and now for us. Quality materials (Malarkey-shingles) and new vents all around. They cleaned up nightly and there wasn’t a scrap of material to be found when they left. I highly recommend USA Roofing. I will use them again!

The crew worked fast, but oh so carefully. My roof was at least two years overdue, with a couple of leaks, and it is now the envy of the neighbors. We had to wait for the rain to stop for three days, not that easy in fall in Portland. Jack at the office kept me informed and reassured. Poli led the crew efficiently and with good humor. I am amazed at how completely they cleaned up afterward.

Chris and his team were amazing. Clear communication, estimate given at walk-through, no timing delays and he dealt with a problematic chimney! The crew were extremely diligent with daily clean-up and final project clean up. Highly recommend working with USA Roofing!

USA Roofing and Waterproofing did a wonderful job replacing my old roof with the new one. Chris, the owner, provided a detailed proposal so I knew exactly what would be done and provided options on shingle prices to meet my budget. Their color selection for shingles is wonderful and their online viewer lets you see how the shingles look with various paints on the house. The crew, lead by Enrique, worked a full 8 hours each day and left my front and back yards in wonderful condition; my yard looks better then I could imagine and they even cleaned the gutters of my maple tree and cypress tree leaves and pine needles! Jack, the operations manager, accommodated my request for a cash discount and was always pleasant to speak with, offering an upbeat personality and options on how best to get the cash to him. I highly recommend them.

I just had a new roof put on my home by West Coast Roofing and Painting Inc. 2 weeks ago, and I have to say, it looks great. The guys came over in a timely manner tore off old roof, put the new one on in a day, and came back the next day to finish up on some of the other small things left. And then cleaned up the job site. We chose West Coast Roofing after looking at several bids in part because of consistently good reviews and also because our home needed a new roof and gutters, since our gutters were all leaking. Having one company do both certainly made our life easier and avoided a separate bidding process. We clearly made the right choice. The Salesman Steve was to the point, and gave us several options to consider, and was available and responsive to our questions, and their bid was competitive. I felt no pressure from him to decide until we were ready. He also explained clearly how a code change meant that we needed to have completely new plywood covering for our new roof which was factored into the estimate. Otherwise there were no surprises to the cost when the work was done. We were very impressed with the team. They took great care to protect our property, shrubs, etc., while the old roof was being demolished, and the new roof was installed. Workmanship was fantastic and new roof looks great. The new gutters were installed soon thereafter. Despite demolishing an old dirty roof, the grounds around the house were cleaner after the project than before they came! Asael has been very responsive to some post installation questions, and I can tell that this company really stresses customer satisfaction, and will stand by their warranty if any problems arise. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof or roofing work done.

We used West Coast roofing to replace our old roof, they did a great job and cleaned after themselves very well.
The crew was very hard working and the lead roofer Chris was very skilled on all aspect of the installation.
The communication is little slow between the office and customer but at the end we are very happy with our new roof.

West coast did our roof, gutters and exterior painting last month. They had a very fair price and did a great final job. Josué was the lead manager for the overall project and was great. He kept in close contact, answered any questions I had and also was very friendly and accommodating. They even did a little extra work I requested in the attic to help support the roof. They got 4 stars because I had to have the painters go back and redo some things that I didn’t feel they had done well enough. While the final product looks great, I felt like they didn’t have the attention to detail that I would have liked in the prep and final clean up, but they did a good job at the end of the days. I let Josué know and we talked things through and he listened and never questioned things and they came back and made things right for the things we discussed. He accepted the feedback with no conflict, which I appreciated. I would recommend them in general, for roofing and gutters with no hesitation, painting with the comments I have made above.

We had a great experience with West Coast. We paid about $19,200 (09-2022) for a new roof on a 120 year old house in inner NE Portland. We picked a black Malarkey Windsor Scotchguard (a bit more expensive). Seems like West Coast only does the Malarkey brand? It took them about four full days with like five guys. Install date did get pushed back. I could tell a couple of the guys were juniors and went slower. It was not a white glove service, but still very good. It was a really good price and some extra services were added. Thanks West Coast for the hard work and great service!!

We hired Josue and his crew to come out and clean our roof and gutters and they did a fantastic job! We live in a very densely forested neighborhood and our roof is often victim to moss and pine needles. The crew worked quickly but thoroughly, making the roof look brand new. Best part - they cleaned every thing up very well after the job. The house, our sidewalks, even our porch, look better than when they got here. Thanks Josue!

West Coast Roofing and Paining was great! Unlike the other companies I met with, they didn't give me a sales pitch, they gave me information. They answered all my question and provided a reasonable quote. They were honest and easy to work with. I hired them to paint the exterior of my house and replace the entire roof. We scheduled a start date for the work and true to their word that's when it started. We had one delay (2 days I think) on the paining due to weather but once the weather cleared up they were back on site. Everyone working was super nice and the site was clean at the end of each day. We couldn't be happier. Everything turned out exactly as we wanted, on time and on budget. Thank you West Coast Roofing and Painting!!

May 15 2018 we had a new roof put on our home. After many bids on a total roof replacement we decided to go with West Coast Roofing and Painting located in SE Portland. My experience from start to finish was totally a pleasure. They completely explained the different roofing products and the advantage of each. There was no up sale on any product just facts on their quality. As I said from start to finish it was a pleasure working with them. In a day and a half they transformed our roof to a master piece. The job was professional and under budget compared to the other 10 bids we received. Best of all was how they cleaned up. There was no scraps or nails to be found. We also had the chimney removed and the structural repair was fast and done with excellent craftmanship. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a roof repair or replacement.

After contacting several roofing companies based on friends’ recommendations West Coast Roofing & Painting was the quickest to respond. (Some never did!) Within a couple of days their sales representative, Victor, came and provided a free estimate and answered all our questions about products, warranties and scheduling. He even brought samples. While he never pressured us, or attempted to up-sell, he made it clear they wanted to earn our business.
The price we were quoted was right in the ballpark with the other quotes we received, but because of the responsiveness and professionalism of the company, we went with West Coast.
Our project was scheduled within a couple of weeks, and thanks to good weather happened exactly as planned. The crew that came were amazing! They completed the job even quicker than we anticipated and left our home and yard as clean as it was when they arrived. In fact, it looked better with our brand-new roof! And our final bill was exactly what we’d been quoted -- no surprises or hidden charges.
We will definitely be recommending West Coast Roofing & Painting to friends and neighbors. And when it’s time for a new paint job, they will be the first company we call.
