I hired Lakewood Landscape & Construction to build me some retaining walls and steps in my backyard. It looks fantastic and is well built! His foreman Joel is a hard worker. I had some questions and concerns about the project, but Rudy made sure he addressed everything and wouldn't sign off on the work until I was completely satisfied with it. I would highly recommend him and his company for your next construction or landscape project!

We hired Calvin to do some general maintenance and they have gave me an estimate lower than anybody else in the area and even noticed some other problems with the house that could cost more in the future fixing it for a very good price.

I had an urgent toilet issue that needed taken care of. I called a couple other companies and received no-callback. I called Calvin’s 24 hour handyman service. Calvin got back to me right away and was able to come out that same night. Calvin was awesome and professional and fix the issue that I couldn’t fix. I would highly recommend Calvin’s handyman service!!!

I hired Calvin to fix some plumbing in my new home. He did a terrible job isolating the problem, diverted to something else (which come to find out he made way worse), and didnt even address the problem we called him out for. He is the type of handyman that comes to collect his service fee and do as little work as possible. I would never recommend his services.

I use their services to install a Murphy bed. I had no instructions. They took the time to look it up and find out how to hang it properly. I paid the price they quoted. They were very easy to communicate with. They were very punctual. Very nice.

I was pleased with the efficiency, labor skills, time, and knowledge of the contractor that install my custom tile shower.

Working with Darren and his team, Salem Home Remodeling (SHR) was a great pleasure. We had several bids on this project, all but one we found on Angies list. While SHR was not the lowest cost option, we are so glad we chose to have Darren and his team help us. The total value SHR brought to this project is hard to put into dollars, but well worth the cost we spent over the lower cost bids. So why did we choose SHR? Darren was the only contractor who really had a vision for what our small feeling bathroom could become. It was so easy for him to see the possibilities that we had no idea were possible on a budget we could afford. We especially liked his idea on the entry to our new bathroom, Barn door style, with unique rolling hardware from Krown Labs, a local Portland company that sources all their materials in the local area. We like to support our local economy whenever possible, and there is just something neat about showing off the local craftsmanship you can find right in your own backyard.

Darren shared his vision with us and helped us see the possibilities. He provided computer drawings to show what it would look like and always had a strong sense of direction for how it would come together, which gave us confidence to move forward with such a big change and investment.

As with most complex and detailed tasks, our project had a few surprises along the way, but Darren was quick to inform me of them and if needed, he quoted out the additional costs to get the work completed to our satisfaction. One key point about Darren and his team, they can solve just about any problem you may have on your project, this was greatly appreciated and valued by our family, and gave us a strong feeling of confidence throughout the job.

I want to also point out that Darren and his team have a strong work ethic and take pride in the work they complete each day. This translates to an excellent final product with impeccable quality and craftsmanship. We really love our new Bathrooms, the work is excellent quality all the way around, down the smallest detail. Even the caulking is perfect! Wow!

Yesterday, we had two young men from Salem Home Remodeling complete a myriad of small home repairs. We were very pleased with the quality of their work, their professional and courteous demeanor and the thoroughness of their work clean-up.

Darren, owner of Salem Home Remodeling has down a brilliant job working on MANY fix-up and remedying areas of our 3000 square foot home. He completely re-tiled our guest bathroom floor, installed new toilet, new sink and plumbing, fixed multiple holes in the drywall throughout this older farmhouse (I can't tell there ever were holes now!), repainted, installed multiple light fixtures and electrical fixtures. He was highly responses to questions and when/if there were any questions on a fix, he quickly fixed what might need more attention..without complaining! You'll find Darren pleasant, easy to work with, and full of integrity. I'd highly recommend him and Salem Home Remodeling to anyone needing fix-up and remodeling done!

Dave is very knowledgeable about his craft. He is well organized and knows exactly what supplies and things he needs to complete the job. We had him put in a new bathroom floor. My floor looks flawless!!. He was timely in getting the job done, and very honest. Dave is a valuable resource, as he knows so much about about so many things in his line of work. He was so helpful to my husband who was struggling with a few small projects and Dave's help enabled him to get these things done. We observed he was very conscientious about the work he did and wanted to make certain that it was done to our satisfaction. I know he would have done anything to make things right if we had been unhappy with it. We would recommend him in a heartbeat and will be calling on him again.

Was really a great guy and did a great job didn't make me feel uncomfortable as I'm a single woman living by myself you always get the little creeps when you have them come over and do plumbing or whatever and try and make their little passes but he was completely professional my dog even liked him and my dog doesn't like anybody and the pricing was more than fair I would recommend them to anybody

Badass service the guy was awesome I would recommend him to anybody and they also do odd things with landscaping as well which was a real help as well as roofing so if you want to all in one kind of guy for the job this is the man to call you won't be disappointed I wasn't!!!!!
