Brandon at Karhu Tree Service removed a big dead Birch Tree for a neighbor & did a fantastic job. I had a dying Birch too! Brandon removed my tree the same day from a corner with a fence on two sides and a big valuable Rhododron below. His crew did great.

I’m am an Arborist in Portland and have had the pleasure of working with Brandon and his crew multiple times. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I really appreciate the level of safety and efficiency that they serve all their clients with. If your looking for an Arborist to care for your trees, or remove the hazardous ones give Brandon a call.

After the crazy snow storm earlier this year, we had a lot of hanging limbs stuck in our trees, two trees had fallen down and needed to be cut up for fire wood, and there were tons of downed large limbs. In addition to that, we wanted 3 very large trees removed that had branches overhanging our deck and house. One of the trees had a lot of shelf fungus. We live on a wooded lot and these trees were over 100 feet tall.

I immediately liked Brandon when he came out to give me a bid. Being a young woman, I have found that contractors sometimes don't take me seriously. That wasn't the case with Brandon at all. He treated me with respect and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Even when my husband was there, Brandon talked to both of us equally and not only to my husband as other contractors sometimes do. Brandon also didn't try to talk me out of removing the trees like another contractor had. He treated my concerns as valid and gave his honest opinions on the potential tree removals.

Brandon's bid ended up being less than half the bid I was quoted by another company. The other company also had a 2 month waiting list, but Brandon was scheduling about a week out. He also came out to give me the quote the same day we spoke on the phone. It was all very prompt service. Before I called Brandon, I had waited weeks just to get quotes from other tree companies.

Brandon and his crew always showed up when they said they would. They were very polite and they cleaned up the work site every day before they left. They completed the work on time and within the original budget.

I highly recommend Brandon and Karhu Tree Service to anyone who is looking to have tree work done. Karhu will definitely be my go-to the next time we need any tree work!

Brandon came over and talked me through the best and safest route to trimming some big limbs encroaching from my neighbor's tree. He was very professional and polite. He also cut down a tree in my back yard and cut part of a dead tree that was leaning on my other neighbor's fence.
They did an excellent job on clean up, they even took some of my extra limbs I had piled up. He stuck to his quote so I knew exactly how much it would cost. Love these guys!! Would positively recommend them again and again.

Karhu Tree Service came out and gave me a competitive quote the same day I called. I already had two quotes from other highly rated companies but called Karhu based on a referral from a co worker. I decided to use them because Brandon was so transparent and honest about the process. They took down my large sweet gum tree hanging over my house and it was very entertaining to watch. Great cleanup and helped the neighbor too. Well worth paying the extra dollar for their good service!

Brandon does a fantastic job! He has great equipment, showed up when he said he was going to (actually early), and knows his craft. Everything that was done, was done safely and professionally! Also, he did a very thorough job with cleanup. As an ex-tree guy myself, I highly recommend Karhu tree service. For all of our tree needs at SLE Properties, LLC he will be the first person we call!

These guys did a terrific job and we couldn’t be happier with the result of their work! If you’re looking for a company that displays both knowledge and professionalism at a fair price, you should really consider giving Karhu Tree Service an opportunity to bid on your job. I was concerned about both the health and safety of the trees on our property (black walnut and deodar cedar)… especially with the deodar cedar being so close to our house. Brandon came out and assessed the trees, made some recommendations and made a bid to do the work. Scheduling and communication were super and the just completed work not only looks great - but I also have far more piece of mind regarding both the health and safety of my trees! We also had them cut and shape our holly tree and our row of arborvitae - both look terrific! For quality, hassle free work at a reasonable price these guys are highly recommended!

They were easy to work with, communicative, timely, and did what they said they were going to do--and more. After the ice storm, other companies said they were booked over a month out or not accepting more clients. Karhu squeezed my tree removal between jobs on the same day I called.

The Karhu crew is wonderful! They delivered a quote and, after a cancellation, were on the job the next morning! For at least a three-man job, the two guys limbed up an at least 50-foot fir and cut it down to the base in a day’s work. They left the space tidy, didn’t damage a single thing and were absolute professionals. I’ve had several tree guys on my property and these guys are, by far, the best crew I’ve had the pleasure of watching. I’ll plan to hire them in the future.

Brandon did an amazing job!! We had a large Birch tree that needed to come down. They did a great job with clean up too. Very happy!
I then had him come and trim the Maple tree.

Sent feelers out on Facebook and got a hit on this tree service that I’ve never heard of. Called them and got an appointment quickly and they came out to service my trees early in the morning. Took care of my trees with little to no damage to the surrounding areas remove debris and cleaned up better than the location was before, had an incident where they slightly damaged the neighbors chain-link fence but quickly repaired and I didn’t even notice, was very polite and knowledgeable and thorough with his job, their crew is amazing and I would definitely recommend Karhu tree service LLC if I had more trees. Pricing is very reasonable and he will work with you in sure that you’re happy that the job is complete. Thank you from the Yamada’s

Amazing service! I've worked with Brandon Karhu multiple times and can tell he is very competent and skillful in his work. He makes sure every customer is happy and satisfied with the results and is safe and thoughtful in making proper cuts and executions. Highly recommend Karhu Tree Service for all your tree service needs.

Brandon and his crew were great! Initially we were going to remove the tree and last minute decided to just have it trimmed. Brandon and his guys showed up on time and got right after it! They checked in with me several times to make sure it was looking how I wanted it and removed or trimmed other branches as I requested. They cleaned up the mess afterwards too and it was like they were never here. I would highly recommend these guys for tree trimming/removal needs.

Brandon and his crew did a great job.
I needed them to remove a 50-foot sweet gum tree, a medium-sized maple and a large amount of yard debris that had been piling up. From the initial estimate to the end of the job, everything was completed on time and as requested. They even removed some extra yard debris (stuff I created in the last week that wasn't part of the original estimate) free of charge.
Communication was good throughout the process and I'm really pleased to have more light in my back yard. The pricing was right too. I'd definitely recommend.

Repeat customer update: I had Karhu chip and haul a large pile of arborvitae away after a big storm. They were quick to reply and had the job done within 6 hours. You'd never know the pile was there. Excellent work.

We had a very large oak tree that began splitting in the truck. We contacted four arborists in the area. We needed to determine if the tree could just be trimmed back and saved or if it needed to come down. It needed to come down. The tree was very close to our home, carport and a shed. We chose Brandon at Karhu Tree Service to remove the tree. Brandon performed the removal of the tree by using ropes and climbing the tree. We preferred this to using a crane because it was less invasive on our property plus it saved us the cost of a crane. Brandon spent time looking at the project and explaining what was going on with the tree. He supplied a written bid and the work was scheduled. He meet the schedule we agreed on. The work was completed, the area was cleaned up. Brandon and his crew worked like a fine tuned vehicle. I recommend Karhu Tree Service and will contact him if needed again.

I'm impressed with how quickly Brandon responded to my call. He was on-site within one hour to assess our situation and provide a quote. (A competitor didn't return my call for almost 24 hours). Brandon and crew removed a 75' tall and dangerously leaning fir tree, sawed into into rounds for firewood, and cleaned up everything, on a Saturday no less. Skillfully done as there was no damage to our fenced pens. The crew also ground-up 4 slash piles I had accumulated. Nice job and nice people!

The team at Karhu were courteous, professional, fast and efficient. Brandon's knowledge of tree health was impressive and reassuring. They pruned the honey locust tree in our front yard and left the space cleaner than when they arrived. I was highly impressed and would recommend their services to anyone.

Brandon and his team did an amazing job removing a number of dead hazardous trees from our property. The price was was more than reasonable it was a great value for the work performed and the work they did was done in a timely and professional manner. I would highly recommend Karhu Tree Service to anyone who is in need of any tree care or removal.

Karhu removed 4 very large conifers in a tight backyard for us. From the bid to the finished project they were the most professional, prompt and polite group of guys I have ever worked with. Just incredible. Very reasonable price as well. Impeccable clean-up. I will NEVER call anyone else for any type of tree service again. If your trees need attention, give them a call. You will not be disappointed!!

We contacted Karhu Tree Service for a truck load of wood chips for our garden projects and they came the very same day with more than enough chips for our needs. Brandon was so friendly and knowledgeable on the quality of chips for the project we were working on. We will use his tree service again, without hesitation, in the future. We highly recommend this service.

Brandon was very professional and punctual. He cut down a 47 year old English Walnut tree and chipped up the limbs up to about 6 inches. They did a great job at a great price. I would recommend Karhu Tree Service for what ever your tree service needs may be.
