Ricky Jacinto gave me a fair price for a crew of 6 with really excellent climbers who did a great job cleaning up our very tall douglas firs. They were very good about safety precautions and winching down cut limbs. They were all courteous and left my yard all cleaned up in really good shape. I’d recommend him highly!

I found Brandon down the Street,where he lives.His bid was the lowest,he showed up time did a incredible job. Brandon and his worker Max, trimmed seven huge cedar trees, took 4ft off and leveled them.Took all the dead branches off from underneigh. Trimmed my Japanese maple and dogwood. Theyleft front and back very clean. I get a lot more sun now, so my flowers will be a lot more beautiful and long lasting So happy I found him!I recommend him to a few people, and will continue to do so.

Prompt response, fair and reasonable rates, good communication before, during and after the job. This is our second time using Karhu Tree Service and they are the one we will call in the future. Brandon will be back in the fall to prune my huge, unruly rhododendron.

Quick, professional and safety focused. I had three medium (20-28in) sizes Fir trees that needed to be removed due to their proximity to the house (one was even notched into the roof). Brandon and his crew worked expertly lowering branches and then trunk sections safely to the ground. Highly recommend.

Brandon was very thorough, professional and timely throughout the process needed for the removal of a Douglas Fir in our yard. I would highly recommend Karhu Tree Service and will use them again should the need arise.

Brandon showed up on short notice and give me an estimate on the removal of 8 trees. Not only was his bid much less than others I received he gave me some advice on a couple of other trees that I had not even considered. We contracted with him to remove 5 of the 8 at this time. Brandon and his crew showed when on Friday, on time. and safely took down the 5 trees. They did so without causing any other property damage and at the end of the job they all shook my hand and thanked me for the work. We will for sure be having them back to remove the other 3 trees, ASAP.

I had a wide array of tree issues. Brandon came out gave me a quote and was back to complete the job right away. He assured me that some of the work was unnecessary because the trees were healthy. Brandon took extreme care around plants and ground structures and the clean up was as if he was never here. Very professional, prompt and hard working!

I called Karhu tree service because of a door hanger left at my house. I was concerned about a large silk tree in my front yard. When Brandon came out & gave me an estimate, he assured me that it wasn’t necessary to remove the tree, but he pointed out some areas that could become problems. We talked about what needed to be done, and his price was below what I expected. When he came back to do the trimming, he was on time, thorough, and did an amazing job cleaning up after the work was done. I already have Karhu on my calendar for next spring to call to take a look at the tree again to make sure it’s still sound after the winter. Thank you Brandon! Having previously hired two of the “big guy” tree companies in town to help manage my forested property, Karhu Tree Setvice LLC was superior in comparison. Brandon and his team were very careful, considerate, and knowledgeable about my finicky native plants and the overall health of the trees in this forest. He didn’t only recommend the work that would be quick and profitable, but instead managed a very difficult job in close proximity to three houses, carefully navigating two adjacent properties and leaving them tidy and my neighbors satisfied. His team proceeded safely, carefully, and efficiently. Miraculously, they spared every single one of my understory plantings, and they cut the stumps of the removed trees flush with the ground. Definitely a superior experience.

Brandon responded the same day for a request for a quote and quoted a very reasonable price to remove a tree. He showed up on time, had the tree down in less than 1 1/2 hours and did a thorough job cleaning up. Excellent service, very professional.

If little to no communication, lack of accountability, and nonstop excuses are something you’re looking for in an arborist, this company is for you.

Showed up two hours after they said they would arrive, came up with an excuse to leave and not cut down tree they agreed and quoted to remove. Then instead of a call or waiting for face to face communication as to why they couldn’t complete the job they agreed to, they up and leave and send a flaky text full of excuse after excuse for why they didn't do the work. If you don’t want the job, just say so or don’t bid it in the first place.

Would absolutely never consider this company again. Good luck to anyone who does.

I called Karhu Tree service a few weeks back to have an estimate for trimming and removing some trees from my residential property. They were timely in responding to my initial inquiry and sent Brandon out to meet me, look at the trees and give me a bid for the work. I was clear I was thinking of having some trees removed, but that it might be down the line and that the trimming was a sure thing.

The same day, Brandon emailed me the estimate and I responded that I would compare bids and get back to him. I did a few days later and asked to schedule the tree trimming but hold off on the tree removal. I didn’t hear back. I emailed again one week later. I didn’t hear back, still. Finally, I called and requested a call back regarding scheduling the work and still, no response. I am not sure if Karhu/Brandon felt the job was too small to do to be worth their time, but he presented very helpful in person but after the fact, I’m frustrated and disappointed to not even get a call back.

I wouldn’t recommend them for this reason.

Brandon at Karhu Tree Service removed a big dead Birch Tree for a neighbor & did a fantastic job. I had a dying Birch too! Brandon removed my tree the same day from a corner with a fence on two sides and a big valuable Rhododron below. His crew did great.

I’m am an Arborist in Portland and have had the pleasure of working with Brandon and his crew multiple times. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I really appreciate the level of safety and efficiency that they serve all their clients with. After the crazy snow storm earlier this year, we had a lot of hanging limbs stuck in our trees, two trees had fallen down and needed to be cut up for fire wood, and there were tons of downed large limbs. In addition to that, we wanted 3 very large trees removed that had branches overhanging our deck and house. One of the trees had a lot of shelf fungus. We live on a wooded lot and these trees were over 100 feet tall.

I immediately liked Brandon when he came out to give me a bid. Being a young woman, I have found that contractors sometimes don't take me seriously. That wasn't the case with Brandon at all. He treated me with respect and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Even when my husband was there, Brandon talked to both of us equally and not only to my husband as other contractors sometimes do. Brandon also didn't try to talk me out of removing the trees like another contractor had. He treated my concerns as valid and gave his honest opinions on the potential tree removals.

Brandon's bid ended up being less than half the bid I was quoted by another company. The other company also had a 2 month waiting list, but Brandon was scheduling about a week out. He also came out to give me the quote the same day we spoke on the phone. It was all very prompt service. Before I called Brandon, I had waited weeks just to get quotes from other tree companies.

Brandon and his crew always showed up when they said they would. They were very polite and they cleaned up the work site every day before they left. They completed the work on time and within the original budget.

I highly recommend Brandon and Karhu Tree Service to anyone who is looking to have tree work done. Karhu will definitely be my go-to the next time we need any tree work!

Brandon came over and talked me through the best and safest route to trimming some big limbs encroaching from my neighbor's tree. He was very professional and polite. He also cut down a tree in my back yard and cut part of a dead tree that was leaning on my other neighbor's fence.
They did an excellent job on clean up, they even took some of my extra limbs I had piled up. He stuck to his quote so I knew exactly how much it would cost. Love these guys!! Would positively recommend them again and again.

Karhu Tree Service came out and gave me a competitive quote the same day I called. I already had two quotes from other highly rated companies but called Karhu based on a referral from a co worker. I decided to use them because Brandon was so transparent and honest about the process. They took down my large sweet gum tree hanging over my house and it was very entertaining to watch. Great cleanup and helped the neighbor too. Well worth paying the extra dollar for their good service!
