Drew and the team at Pro Tech Power did a great job replacing the main power cables from the meter post to our mobile home after old corroded splices and failed insulation on the ground and neutral wires had begun to cause intermittent flickering in the lights that brought the problem to our attention. We got the estimate and had the repair done within two days and are very happy with the price.

Our family is longer worried about blackouts or brown outs.
Pro Tech Power did our generator install and breaker panel upgrade.
They did a great job of answering questions when explaining the installation process. -
My wife and I purchased a new spa and we needed an electrical contractor to handle Installing a 50 amp breaker in our existing panel. And routing everything to the spa including a shutoff breaker. Drew, who represented the company was prompt in arriving at the scheduled inspection time.
Every question I had for him, he was concise, knowledgeable and very confident in multi spa electrical connections in the past. I Had a total of 5 companies that came out to give estimates, and based on the remaining 4 Pro Tech Power was 2 to $300 less than everybody else ,But what struck me was his confidence and knowledge in visualizing all of the electrical plans, and that's what Convince me that I would be in a contract with them to do our project.
I worked with a office person named Stephanie who set up the contract. I reviewed it, signed it and she put me on the schedule for the project. It was a day after the delivery of the spa which was perfect and the weather was great and the crew came out to do the install and arrived on time, which is a big plus for me.
The electricians were very polite, explained everything they were going to do and after the completion of the project, they even came out with a small battery operated vacuum cleaner and cleaned up some of the small shavings on the deck that they had been working on, which I told them, don't worry about it, I can hose it off, but it just shows the quality of the project.
The county inspector came out a few days later to do the final on the electrical, and his comments were that he had nothing to complain about and commented that it was a very clean wiring system. That made us feel really good.Making the decision that go with this company.
Down the road, we have some remodels to do.We are fairly new in Oregon and definitely. When it comes time to hire electricians , I will be looking at this company again. -

have. Other than that !
Thanks Gary Hume -
Install of 4 smoke detectors. 40 minutes. Ok job, nice enough kid. I thought it was a pretty expensive charge. $288. Possibly a going rate but not sure.

Hired Pro Tech Power as an electrical subcontractor and wow what a mess that was. So many issues we lost count. Be very careful if you are considering hiring them.
Everything was a fight and so many mistakes were made. Wish we had hired anyone else. -
ProTech was the electrical contractor on our new home build. We had frustrations from the beginning with poor planning and lack of knowledge about the spec’d fixtures and electrical equipment.
There was continued staff turnover at ProTech with little oversight or on-site management which resulted in many errors. As problems and questions arose, we were repeatedly asked to solve them for ProTech - even basic questions about fixture install that we’re spec’d at the beginning of the project. We spent countless hours researching and resolving issues for ProTech to try and keep things moving forward.
Issues continued throughout the project and included lighting configuration mistakes, missed circuits and inconsistent wiring through the house as it was installed by different crews. It was so difficult to get things done, we eventually gave up and removed some items to simplify scope given the lack of knowledge. Quality issues such as damaged wiring and missing circuits were only discovered after the walls were closed making troubleshooting and repair very expensive.
ProTech quit the project after billing us 80% which resulted in us spending tens of thousands more than our original contract with another contractor to fix ProTech’s mistakes and finish the project.
With so many quality electricians in the area, I wouldn’t risk hiring ProTech for anything other than the most basic tasks.
Update: It's a year later and we're still discovering and dealing with problems from ProTech's rough in. It's amazing how many issues can be caused by one subcontractor. -
REPLY to company: happened today 2/09/2026 approximately 9:50AM at the Tigard Home Depot
Imagine hiring this company whose employees almost cause car accidents because they’re in too much of a hurry. I can’t imagine what corners they cut at the work place. What looks like to be illegal tint on the windows doesn’t help. Pro Tech power needs to have a chat with its people because not only are they putting other cars in danger but other pedestrians around Home Depot. Who ever this driver is represented the company poorly.
