I think I found a new contractor! On very short notice Mike came out and fixed a leak in our ceiling from a busted pipe. He had the pipe replaced and the hole patched in just a matter of hours it's like it never happened. Like I said I think I can find many things that need done. Thanks Mike

We had an amazing experience with this company. Mike came out late in the evening and helped we’ll into dark even though the project was not completed he came back the next day to finish. We did not realize that he was so far away but none of the local companies would come out that late to help. Thank you so much for getting us up and running!!

Michael sent one of his guys right away when we needed our toilet resealed. He was on a job already, and couldn't have helped us until way late, but instead took the moment to make sure we got the help we needed. That was most appreciated.

This contractor came to replace a basement drain pipe that had been improperly installed by a previous contractor. Both the floor and old pipe had to be removed and a new trench excavated. However, Always Better Services turned out to be just as terrible as the first contractor. The new pipe was too shallow. It was at the surface, leaving no room to pour a new concrete floor. Its slope was backwards, running uphill instead of downhill to the catch basin. Therefore, water never drained. Sharp, broken pieces of concrete from the old jackhammered floor were thrown in and mixed with the fresh gravel that covered the pipe. At that point, we canceled the rest of the project, which was to include a new concrete pour. Unfortunately, we had pre-paid for the concrete, and despite countless requests for that downpayment to be returned, the contractor never gave it back.

We have since looked up the business with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board. It is unlicensed and owes close to $11,000 in fines and penalties. This company is a one-man show, and its owner is a crook and a con artist. For your protection – Under no circumstances hire him.

Absolutely wonderful Experience!! Needed someone to install a first time dishwasher in a cupboard that had only seen hand washed dishes it’s entire lifetime. And know one would help me. And with a father in law needing full time care . He was understanding of the barking dogs and papa . And got the job done . Amazing !

We called and not long after he arrived here to give us fast service.

We needed repairs done to our gate and had no idea what to do. Mike arrived here less than half an hour after we called and helped us with our problem then gave us great advice on what we should do next. Took less than and hour. We’re definitely going to be calling the next time we need help for someone who knows what they’re doing.

We had to get a new oven range and the downdraft cut-out location did not match up to the new stove. He came out to Brightwood, OR when no other company would and gave us a fair price for the service. Great Guy!

RUN! Extremely unprofessional, messy, and always late (if he shows up at all). Our 3 week project took Michael almost 5 months to complete and looked like total garbage. Had to hire another contractor to redo the entire thing after Michael changed his phone number. Also, I’d highly recommend checking out his reviews on Yelp from actual past clients. Check the Better Buisness Bureau’s website which will show he is NOT accredited and the CCB website will show all the open claims and fines against him. Save yourself the headache and find a real contractor, not a scam artist.

**Response below is false. Tenants had an elderly disabled dog who could not make it up the stairs. Also, the first 6 months living there, the master bathroom was unusable for 5 months due to Michales shotty craftsmanship and the bathroom LEAKING into the dining room below. Comes off as a nice friendly guy, but has no interest in doing the right thing. Also does not know building code and lies. Oh, icing on the cake was when I came home from date night and he had “some girl” (how he referred to her) IN MY HOUSE. After further questioning, it was someone he met at the bar the night prior. Not acceptable.

I have used ABS before and was extremely satisfied with the work preformed. I called again hoping for the same results and was not disappointed. I would and have recommended him to my friends and they all felt the same satisfied feeling of a job done right at a fair price. Just an overall great experience.

Christmas Eve Morning 2022: We woke up at 6:00 am with the sound of gushing water in the garage. Yep — broken pipe in the garage wall that fed to the washer and outside faucet. Pipe was super insulated and so was wall - bust still a busted pipe. Water blowing out the wall. After shutting of the water to the house, I started trying to find someone that could fix it. Did I mention this is Christmas Eve?? Lol. I was so blessed to come across Mike. He answered the phone and said he would come right over. He lives not far from us here in Troutdale. He texted when he was on his way and he had to put chains on due to the ice. Great guy! He was very knowledgeable, had all the tools and equipment needed, and repaired the leak in less than two hours. We are drying out the wall now and he said he would come back and fix the sheet rock at no cost once it’s dried out. How can you go wrong with that! His cost was more than fair for rushing out and doing this on Christmas Eve. I would highly recommend him for anything you need help with. We plan to use him again if we ever need something done. Oh my gosh thank you! Ice storm 2024 these guys came same day and fixed my broken water line in and under my home. It was broke in 3 places. So now the proud owner of pex as I was taught is the best and won't ever have to worry about this type of issue again. Fixed it on his first trip here and took about 3 hours and my water was restored! Thank you so much to you n your team. Good job guys and gals!

Out of all the people I have worked with, my experience with Michael has been the best yet, he was on time, professional, friendly, and very caring. He did an amazing paint job on the interior doors, fixed and hung a door as well and fixed a leaky toilet. Very happy with the work we had done and most importantly, working with someone who truly cares about their customers.

Mike responded to my message promptly. He was friendly and professional and it was easy to work out the details of the job with him. He arrived on time and completed the toilet installation as agreed. My tenant was very happy too!

Mike is a great guy, but unfortunately he was late always, had to keep coming back to times a week for four weeks, and still unfortunately the issue was not taken care of. I asked him to install the water commander, which is a sump pump that runs off of water and not electricity in case the power goes out. Unfortunately there were a lot of leaks in the lines that he installed, And sweating of the pipes that caused a lot of leaks and reductions of pipes which caused lack of pressure, they did not enable the water commander to work properly. I give him kudos for at least trying and he gave it his all, but it wasn’t enough. My neighbor came over and then 25 minutes replaced all the copper piping and not so good sweating of the pipes. That had been leaking and replace them with PVC pipes. And it works perfectly now my neighbor help me and it only cost him $12. Instead of $400. Thanks Mike for trying, But this job was way out of your comfort zone and pasture abilities. So as you told me on your way out on the last day, good riddance. Exactly what you said to me and I hurt my feelings.
