We had attic insulation blown in, plus old hanging insulation and barrier removed and replaced with new material. Crawl space vents were internally screened to replace weak damaged originals. After job completion and crew leaving, I noticed they missed screening a couple vents. When informed foreman came by promptly and did missing screens himself with one assistant. Would recommend this company.

Incredibly knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and fairly priced. Immediately saw temp improvements across the house after install. Appreciate that they were straight forward and transparent about what they recommended we needed and didn't need.

I recently used Northwest Weatherization's services to replace old insulation and also add new insulation to poorly insulated rooms. While I'm happy with the result of the new insulation work, I was disappointed in the lack of attention to detail by the workers.
They damaged newly painted walls, damaged a custom dresser, covered our carbon monoxide detector in the basement (incredibly dangerous), covered our outlets in the basement, and stopped up our sump pump with all their dropped materials (I found about 9 full rows of the staples they used to secure the insulation covering, old insulation, and other materials).

It's very evident they are here to do the job as quickly as possible with little regard to the customer's home.

NW Weatherization was quick to respond to my request for a bid. Easy to deal with because they are up-to-date using technology. They scheduled immediately and arrived when we expected them. Very nice people.

I am extremely pleased with the prompt arrival, courtesy, and efficient preparation, taping and re-wrapping insulation on exensive ductwork - all done while high on ladders on an uneven slope! Very impressed.
The two workers then cleared all debris before laying and anchoring the vapor barrier over the extensive space, and then removing the bags of debris and old insulation.

Very professional, no nonsense. Process was easy, quick. No hard sell, quoted me what I asked for, but made good suggestions to get what I needed. Installers were also good, professional, and answered my questions. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing insulation work.

They got the job done…but it took two tries. Typical sales promises one thing, actual job completed is somewhat less than was promised. The crew showed up more than an hour early and interrupted a work meeting. They rushed the job; they were probably so early because they rushed the previous job… This company pays their crews a flat rate per job, which incentivizes them to do quick work, not good work. Eventually, the job was completed to satisfaction and the added insulation helps noticeably with energy costs and comfort year-round (it’s been a year or so since our job was completed). They offer veteran discounts too.

Justin C. inspected the crawl space and gave us an estimate for vapor barriers. He was honest, professional, and responsive. The crew was fast and efficient. They did an AWESOME job! I highly recommend it.

I contacted Northwesr Weatherization, LLC to remove and replace insulation in crawl space under our beach home (Seaside, OR) that was built in1916. We live in California so this is our second home. They arrived at the agreed upon time & date to provide us with a bid..they were not the least expensive, but certainly the most professional from the gentleman that gave us the bid, office staff and work crew.. Brought NW Weatherization in to inspect and diagnose an issue another vendor had noticed, and I am happy I did! The inspection agent was SUPER informative, told be what my issues were, provided estimates with rebates and tax credit estimates. Additionally, he recommended an order of attack for getting everything done on my time schedule to help with my budgeting. On the day of service, they showed up an entire hour early and finished work early. Can't beat this level of service from my experiences in PDX so far. Thank you!

The workers showed up on time and fully explained what was done at the end of the work. Respected our home and cleaned up their workspace before leaving. Communication between the scheduler and us was flawless. Not many jobs go as smoothly as this one. Definitely 5 Stars!

Great interaction from start to finish. My initial consultation quickly identified the problem (I thought it would be, "oh, your insulation is old and/or crappy", but it was actually, "you have no insulation anywhere but under the floor"). They helped set me up to get sweet rebates from EnergyStar that almost paid for half the job and, within a day, two crews had insulated both my attic and all of my exterior walls. It was less than a week from first call to sitting in a toasty living room writing a review.

The two crews knocked all the work out in a bit over half a day and were super considerate, laying down plastic on the floor and letting me know when they were done. The outside was cleaned up nearly immaculately. When I heard they were drilling a bunch of holes in the outside of my house I was a little worried I admit, but besides a few slightly-worse-for-wear cedar shingles you can't tell anything happened at all from the outside. A few spots inside got insulation bits on them from the spraying: the dryer duct and a few outlets that had openings for running wires through. One loosely-attached phone-cable jack I've never used was pushed out by insulation foam but it was a thirty second repair, and it's not the itchy stuff they used to use it was easy to clean up.

If you're considering having this done... I have been fighting my house's temperature since I bought it three years ago. It was built in the 50s and this is the only thing that's ever really annoyed me about it. First I got a mini-split system, and during summer it just overpowers the outside temperature and it's amazing, but the heat can't keep up with even mild winters. There was a notable draft throughout the house and unless the heat was blowing on you it felt kind of cold.

As this work was being done, I could feel the difference, and now my heat is barely even blowing and my entire house is warm. If you have an old, drafty house call these guys immediately!

We had blown in insulation added throughout our attic. They also sealed ceiling penetrationsm and submitted our rebate request to the Energy Trust for us. Great estimator, crew and office people. Competitive price. Professional, clean, on-time. I would highly recommend this company.

They were friendly, covered our floor with plastic to ensure cleanliness and showed up at our scheduled appointment time. Excellent experience! NW Insulation responded quickly to my request, sent an employee to assess and measure and provided a quote the same day. They even included the Federal tax credit info. On the day of installation, the crew showed up early and completed more quickly than planned. They were very conscientious and, except for a few tufts of pink insulation, I couldn’t even tell they had been there.
