Paving Contractor reviews across the US

I enlisted the help of Tomasso Contracting to do the following work:

- Replace my front walkway
- Remove a walkway in front of a garden area so that we could expand the garden
- Completely replace a cracked "side porch" made of cement with 2-3 steps on either side
- Construct a paved walkway along the left and right side of our yard to prevent our dogs from digging (and ground hogs from entering).

This was a large amount of work, and I can say that from start to finish Michael and his crew were communicative, professional, and highly skilled. I will add pictures later, but the end result looks fantastic, and we have received many compliments.

Across all of the projects we used Olde English blocks and Brick Alley with Armorte that had a light heather gray for the main walkway, and were bordered by a deep charcoal color.

I think they got all of the work done in a week or so, not counting a few days in between where it was raining.

Just to reiterate, the work looks amazing, and I would be happy to speak with anyone regarding the experience.

For those who left negative reviews, I think there was some sort of miscommunication (or you're a competitor leaving false reviews). Whenever there was a problem I called either Cindy or Michael, and they got back to me within a few hours.

Michael was very honest and straightforward, and proud of his work.

5/5 stars.

Tomasso contracting did a very large concrete driveway/apron and Belgian block curbing for our emergency squad, they did a great job, there were a few small issues that they took care of very quickly without delay. Will use them again if the need arises.

The Tomasso Family did an excellent job on our driveway. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and hands on with his workers. We love the outcome and plan on using them again in 2021.

I found the Tomasso Contracting after requesting recommendations from my community Facebook group for hardscaping in my backyard. Based on all the responses, Tomasso had the most recommendations and likes. After getting a few different quotes, I happily went with Tomasso over their flexibility, honesty and fair pricing, professionalism and insightful recommendations. The team is professional, kind and efficient and I couldn’t be more pleased with the work they did on my 20x30 patio so much so I just contracted a second job with them for my walkway. I recommend Tomasso to everyone!

I would 100% recommend Tomasso to anyone. They do our snow removal for our McDonalds restaurants for over 3 years now. Always on time and do a great job. He’s even done concrete work for us always a professional job well done

I called to get an estimate and was greeted by a very nice, warm, and welcoming woman. She was very professional and we had a good conversation unrelated to the estimate. Cindy kept me informed on every step of the process. The work was completed in a timely manner and the pricing was great. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work. I would highly recommend Tomasso to everyone.

I had a concrete driveway done in October 2022. It was a good price for the size and all that I wanted done. However, with the snow that we had this past January 2024 wasn't much but my concrete started to crumble in places that were covered in snow(curb) as well as the driveway. I communicated it to Mike and he said he would come by but never came out to look at it. Each time I sent him a text, they have gone ignored.

We called about 6 different contractor to do a double wide concrete driveway and Tomasso was the only one that gave us such a great price. Michael's men were at our home early morning to something after 5 and were very polite. We were having some issues with the permits and between Cindy and Micheal they resolved them. I cannot express how happy we are from beginning to end.

Mike Tomasso did an excellent job installing our paver patio. He even suggested ways in which we could make the patio even better by adding a sitting wall. All the work was done on time and on budget. We also have used Tomasso to put in a new driveway and also for sidewalk replacement. We are very satisfied with the work that he has done for us over the years.

I was new to the area and a neighbor recommended Tomasso contracting. I couldn’t be more satisfied. Their work is impeccable! I’ve used them several times for different projects and they ALWAYS do a great job! I highly recommend.

Tomasso Contracting widened my driveway several years ago. I was satisfied with their work, so I called to have them install a brick paver patio in my yard recently. Once again, they called back promptly and gave a reasonable estimate. The work was done in a neat, timely manner.

Very satisfied with Tomasso!

Tomasso Contracting Inc did a wonderful job repaving our driveway. Communication from the office and customer service was exceptional. The job took place when promised and was finished on time. Would definitely recommend.

Just hired Tomasso Contracting to pave driveway and they did an excellent job. Highly recommend, job was done fast and efficiently.

Had multiple contractors come out and give me quotes but decided to go with Mike and his team since their price was competative and their work looked great. I do not regret this decision at all. Mike and his team answered all my questions and was able to get 900 Square Feet of paving done in just 4 days. My backyard looks great and im looking forward to working with them again when I get my driveway done.

We used Tomasso Contracting for ripping out our old driveway, installing Belgium block along the driveway and street, and installing a paved walkway. Michael was very professional and prompt with coming out and giving us an estimate on all requested projects. His prices came in the best and he was able complete the work in a timely fashion. It’s been a year and we continue to receive compliments on all the work completed by Tomasso Contracting. We will be contacting him to complete our backyard project.

This is the second job Mike has done for us and we couldn’t be happier with how the project turned out. We replaced our old front steps and walkway around the house with new pavers and Mike and his team did an excellent job. Mike was more than happy to help guide us through the process from picking out the stones, colors and design. We would highly recommend Tomasso Contracting.

An estimate was given in a timely manner and once accepted the work was scheduled relatively quickly. The crew came out and completed the work in one day. Any questions either I or the crew had were dealt with on the spot and the results were a great looking sidewalk and a thorough clean up of the work site. I highly recommend Tomasso Contracting.

Working with Tomasso Contracting was wonderful!! Michael was prompt in returning my calls and really worked with us to figure out what would look the best and within a reasonable price range. There was some hurdles related to getting the appropriate permits in place (my fault); however, once the work began it went very smoothly. We had so much work done and it took about 6 weeks to finish (had some delays due to bad weather). The guys did beautiful work and we can't wait for some warm weather to begin enjoying our new patio!

I hired Tomasso Contracting to do a flagstone repair and pour new concrete sidewalk at my parents' home. This family owned & operated business is wonderful! They are very accommodating and have personalized service. They are very competitive and fair in their pricing. The quality of their work is superb! Cindy, Michael, and the crew who actually performed the work were all very professional, knowledgeable, and talented. I highly recommend them for all your masonry needs. You will not be disappointed!

The snow storm dumped over three feet on our community in Florham Park this week. The workers plowed and shoveled all night to ensure we could get out of our driveway! I spoke to someone and thanked him for working so hard! All of us at Riverbend and so thankful for their service!

I used Michael Tomasso and his team to remove our old, broken up driveway and pave a new one and they were amazing, every step of the way. They gave me a great price, very competitive and so good that we were able to have them install Belgium block curbing as well. Highly recommend them, great company to work with. 5 stars
