Bartlett Tree Experts are courteous, knowledgeable, and concerned about your property. Their crew is respectful of your surroundings, the on-site representatives are interested in the total health and maintenance of your entire property, and the office personnel are extremely professional. I have found a new arborist.

Once you can get a service person or representative to your home for an estimate they are terrific. Getting the actual service even if it’s paid for it is difficult to get anyone to show up to do the work. This may be because I am a small homeowner who does not require extensive work to be done.

I had a tangled group of about 50ft, overgrown evergreen trees, some with conjoint trunks in a small city yard. Cabling was recommended to keep some of them from splitting apart. I am pleased to report that tree trimming was done so skillfully that the view to the trees is more balanced but the trees still screen the view of the back of houses too close by. Cabling job also seems thorough so I can be less worried during the next big ice storm. All this was done in about a half a day and the crew was helpful in restoring some of the large planters that had to be moved.

Simply put, Bartlett is the best! If you have a tree you love, they can treat it, tell you about it, take care of it, etc. In all the years I've used them (and it's been many), they never try and "upsell" you. Quality work at a good price isn't easy to find.

Joe Bayer and your tree care professionals performed excellent tree services on our maple tree. They expertly removed a large tree limb that was broken during a storm. They also installed a cable that had broken during the same storm. We received a treatment to remove a spotted lantern fly infestation and the technician did a wonderful job. Joe explained everything in detail and gave us a great written scope of work and an estimate of the cost for each job. Definitely would use your services in the future and will pass along to friends and family.

Completely pathetic and unprofessional. I'm disgusted by my experience with Bartlett Trees in Bala Cynwood. First, they do not keep their scheduling promises. Second, they are terrible with communication. Weeks after signing the contract, I still had to make multiple calls to request to have my work scheduled. But most of all, one of their associates, David Miller (ISA Certified Arborist PD#0550-A) made ridiculous excuses for not getting me on their schedule and for missing our scheduled appointment. When reached by phone 2 hours after our missed appointment, David flat out said he didn't "have to do the work". We wasted a whole month with Bartlett and still have un-pruned trees. I will never do business with them again.

Although I've used Bartlett before to more than satisfactory results, today's experience with Sabatino topped the charts. His knowledge, communication, and professionalism were all key in moving our small project forward with confidence. Thank you!

Gavin at Bartlett is just a lovely person. A Bartlett crew did some work for a neighbor, and didn't realize there'd been some damage and debris left on my property. When my neighbor let them know what had happened at our property, not only did Gavin do a walkthrough and apologize profusely, he brought a replacement plant for the one that was damaged and set a clean up immediately. I was blown away by the thoughtfulness and courtesy and would definitely hire them in the future based on this interaction.

Very professional, very helpful. Sometimes a bit of a delay in communication, getting things set up, but on the day the crew was great. Very understanding, very respectful of the trees and individual personalities and looks, and took great care to clean up afterwards. First rate.

Gavin at Bartlett Tree Experts was incredible to work with. His quote for removing a large dead tree from the back of our city lot was fair (we got three quotes!). He took the time to tell us about how to best care for the other trees on our property. He was easy to schedule with and the work was completed quickly. They left us some mulch for our garden and cleaned up the patio better than it was before they got there! I definitely would recommend Gavin and the team at Bartlett!

As first time homeowners, we're so lucky our neighbors referred us to Sabatino at Bartlett. We have an interesting collection of needy trees and a very old wisteria that once dominated the front of the house. Sabatino has been our right hand guy in providing expert care. He has a wealth of knowledge and proactively stops by throughout the year to make sure everything is healthy and looking its best. It's hard to find good contractors and service providers but Sabatino and his Bartlett crew are some of the best.

Bartlett did an excellent job and the crew members were very knowledgeable. They did a spectacular cleanup and I'd highly recommend them

The Bartlett team did a fantastic job pruning our dwarf white pine tree. It's a beautiful small tree, probably 40 years old. It had not been pruned in 20 years. There was a tremendous amount of dead branches at the top of the tree that needed to be removed. Now the tree looks like a rare specimen from Portland's famed Japanese garden!

Sadly, our redbud tree fell over across the whole front of our yard during the Feb 2026 blizzard and lots of big branches also came down! We weren't sure if more were still hanging high up making it unsafe to go out. We contacted Sabatino at Bartlett's and he checked it out for safety the same day and made sure everything was taken care of the next day! We were pretty amazed at how fast it happened and it was a great job.

Juan and Josh from EZ Cleanup were great. We had a bunch of shattered glass on our roof and deck from a wind storm. They were very professional and worked hard to finish the job. I highly recommend!
