Gerry did the concrete surround for our pool. He was very professional and helped with color suggestions as well as stamping. The project changed a little a few days before starting. Gerry’s team was completely understanding and helped again with suggestions to make sure we were getting what we needed. After the pour they showed up to clean the pool and again make sure we were completely satisfied. I would certainly use them again for any concrete needs and would highly recommend them.

Gerry and his team installed stamped concrete around our pool. He does fantastic work, is easy to reach when you have questions, and is a good communicator. I love how the concrete turned out. We also had a vent (pipe) that I was hoping he could move and he did! Potential customers should know that he is easy to work with, he follows through consistently, and he makes the entire process very low stress.

Herrmann construction removed our old patio and replaced it with a new and improved larger version. They battled through poor weather and stayed on schedule and completed the job without any issues. In addition to putting in a large patio they poured a small sidewalk and slab for our trash cans, dug a hole and created the base foundation for a basketball hoop, and created a new slab for our small shed. Gerry and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Very happy with Gerry and his team’s service. They poured a concrete patio under my deck. It was finished perfectly, and ties into the deck very nicely. They were over my house a handful of times to make sure it was done correctly, such as adding and removing blankets during cold nights so it cured properly. They also dug a french drain on the fly after discovering an under-water spring in my yard. I will be using Hermann Construction for any of my future concrete needs.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the our concrete work. we had a stamped and release finish garage skirt/pad poured, along with a matching sidewalk done last year(2022). Both came out exceptional. Better than expected actually, and the pricing was very competitive.
This year we had a pretty large retaining wall built in the back yard, and this was also an amazing job.

This is the first time I have submitted a review on a contactor, however, this time I absolutely had to share my experience. Hermann construction did an absolutely fabulous job on our concrete patio, he exceeded our expectations, and will be our "go to" guy for any future work. He has an incredible team, all of which are skilled, courteous, and professional. I can't say enough about this team and I highly recommend them.

We had a new patio and stairs completed by HCC this past December. At the initial home visit, Gerry gave us a folder of information about colors and finishes and was able to give us recommendations on colors/finishes that would look great with our exsiting wall. Gerry is very knowledgeable in his line of work and very dedicated to making sure that his clients are satisfied. He was great with communicating deadlines and answered my emails the same day. Him and he team always showed up on time, if not earlier. They are a very professional group of people and were respectful of the property. His pricing was very reasonable for what we had completed. We were very impressed with HCC! We highly recommend them to anyone needing custom concrete work and we will definitely contact them for any future projects.

Gerry, Brian, and the crew did a great job adding a driveway and retaining wall in North Hills. We chose Hermann Construction from two other quotes.

One word - WOW! We hired Herrmann Construction Company to design and install a stamped concrete patio in addition to faux stone steps leading out from the back of our historic home in Shadyside. Based upon our meeting with the owner, Gerry, at our home in advance of the project, his great knowledge of the products he uses and his portfolio of prior work completed, we hired him. His team were the most professional group of individuals. They were very respectful of our property, exceptionally detail-oriented and treated the project as if it were something they were doing at their own homes. We weren’t just pleased with the end result, we were completely blown away! Our patio and steps far exceed anything we could have imagined!! Herrmann Construction did an amazing job on our pool and backyard project! Gerry and his crew were very accommodating to all of our changes as we added roof, bar, fireplace and bathroom area. We also, had a few issues with contractors crossing his footers - so his crew dug by hand for 2 days (all rock) to get it done. With all the rain he worked through it and got it done timely! I would 100% recommend his services! They have great ideas and are very flexible to change! Look at the amazing edge of pool along with stamped concrete look. Beautiful work!

Gerry and his team are absolutely wonderful!! The installed the concrete decking around my pool. I wanted something a little out of the ordinate, diamond cuts instead of the typical square or rectangular, to make the brushed concrete more visually appealing. I believe I was the first person to ask for this, but Gerry and his team figured it out and executed beautifully. They also installed a dark gray stamped concrete boarder around the pool. It was a big job, but they were so efficient and wonderful to work with. You can also count on Gerry to remind you when it’s time to seal your concrete to keep it looking beautiful!!

Very nice experience with this company, from the initial phone call with Gerry & then Marko who came to my house to determine what I needed done, to Brian & his crew that did the actual work. Brian, Casey, & Matt did a beautiful job with the steps, sidewalk & a concrete pad. I highly recommend Herrmann Construction Company if are looking for quality work done by nice, honest, & professional people.

Needed a driveway and knew it was a little challenging given a steep drop off in the back (not pictured). After speaking with multiple contractors Gerry had the best solution at a great price. He was timely and great with communicating throughout the process. They demoed the old driveway and set the new forms in a day…incredible crew efficiency. Another thing to note is both he and his crew were respectful and kind, great to talk to. On “pour day” they stayed late making sure it was finished properly. I was pleasantly surprised when they even backfilled the sides with dirt and seeded (and put down straw!). Gerry will be my first call if I need anything done in the future and I highly recommend him and his great crew.

If you are looking for a hardscape company look no further. We are so happy that we decided on HCC to transform our backyard living space. Gerry’s crew is amazing. These guys hit the ground running on day 1 and never looked back. His team is very accommodating even when we wanted to change things as we went along. There were a few items that we needed to discuss with Gerry and he came out personally to review with us. HCC did a lot of work over the course of the 6 days. They demoed an old deck and deteriorating wall. They installed a Versa Lok wall and added under cap lighting. A stamped patio was poured with a drain system with a new walkway then finished off with river rock behind the wall. We are thrilled with the results of this project. We will definitely recommend HCC to our friends and family.

It was great to see Gerry’s team show up early in the morning every day and get the job done quickly while making sure we were satisfied with how the project was going.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Herrmann Construction for a major project that included removing my old concrete pad and installing new stamped concrete on my patio and pool deck. The team not only transformed my concrete but also added a beautiful fire pit, seating wall, and elegant stone stairs.
