Gjc electric was excellent. Dillon the electrician quickly diagnosed the issue. He was very very knowledgeable and informative in explaining what he was finding and doing. He also provided top notch customer service. Highly recommend him and his company.

I hired GJC through American Home Shield Warranty to uninstall and install ceiling fans in my home. The technician arrived on time, was friendly, and respectful of my property.
Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Due to issues with AHS the work got delayed. So I took to Yelp to write this review thinking the issue was with GJC -when in fact the issue was with AHS.
Thank you Bree for reaching out to me to get this right. We are now scheduled for the install. I know the work will be right, and for good measure I've cancelled AHS.
In short I should have just reached out to GJC directly they clearly are the professionals in this situation looking to create value and a memorial customer experience.
On this alone, I would recommend them to others. -
I paid an $80 service fee and a $125 out of pocket fee to GJC to repair a breaker, to find out three weeks later that I needed a breaker repair to get my range to 240 volts. At the time of the visit I had asked the tech about my stove which he did not bother to check the outlet for voltage/power. His visit to my home took 3-5 minutes, he did not have any tools nor did I get to see what any breakers look like. I did see him switch my panels back & forth. I did call my appliance company which they came out and confirmed it was a breaker issue. I contacted GJC and asked if they could come out which they said they could sometime AFTER the holidays and I would have to repay the fees. When I called to get information about the owner “Katie” somehow forgot her bosses last name and refused to provide me any information. When speaking to the warranty company, I was made aware that the technician Greg had given statements such as “he showed me the new and old breakers and he checked all of the outlets” none of which occurred. I would not recommend this company

I bought an electric dryer for my new home and the outlet wasn’t getting any power. I put in a work order through my HSA home warranty company and I got stuck with this company. The technician Michael came out and verified my outlet wasn’t getting power. He proceeds to my panel to take a disconnected red wire from my panel and connect it into a 2-pole 30amp breaker. In this process he removed a wire that was in that slot to “reconnect” my dryer. He then goes to my dryer outlet and is not getting enough power. He also claims that something smells like it’s burning and could be a short so he turns off the breaker. He puts in a work order to rerun all new wire. This requires putting holes in the wall if necessary so my warranty company denies this work order and I have to pay $1200 to fix it. This is in January btw. Over some time I’m thinking about what could be causing this problem and why the red wire was disconnected in the first place. Someone must have done that on purpose. It’s also obvious the previous owners had a gas dryer. And that’s a lesson I learned the hard way. Everything in my house is gas. So I’ll take this life-lesson forward. Anyways, I came up with a conclusion that the only appliance that would need that dedicated breaker was my central AC. As temps got warmer I tried to turn on my AC and nothing. I knew it was my unit bc my blower was working. I called GJC directly since my warranty company was giving me a hard time. I explained over the phone to the receptionist that I believe Michael disconnected my AC trying to fix my dryer. The response I got was “he’s saying he didn’t touch anything regarding your AC. He wasn’t even there for your AC. He was there for your dryer”. Any homeowner would know that your panel controls everything in your house. I also mentioned how Michael left the red wire in knowing it was causing a “possible burn behind the wall”. I said why not put things back to the way they were? Why leave my home in a worse state than when you got there? I ended up complaining enough to my warranty for a second opinion. They ended up sending the same guy — Michael. He was trying to deny he was ever in my house and was very defensive. I remembered him very clearly. He had the same conclusion about running a new wire for my dryer and then looks at my AC and says “this isn’t even in the panel”. Meaning my AC wire wasnt even in the panel to get power. I bought the house recently and my inspection clearly states it was working. I also told this to GJC over the phone. He’s is adamant and confident in his answer and again leaves my house in a worse state. Temperatures got so hot recently my house was 90 inside. I ended up hiring two electricians from my inspector since I was worried his report was wrong. Thankfully they were able to fix everything (dryer AND AC) and all I needed was another 30amp breaker to make another 2-poor 30amp breaker. Turns out this “technician” Michael disconnected one hot wire from my AC to make room to connect the one hot wire from my dryer. He had both of these appliances connected to the SAME 2-pole 30amp breaker. It took me watching a 3-minute YouTube video to see what he did wrong and he had multiple chances to fix it. While all of this happened, the owner, who I assume is Greg, never once called me. The poor office worker had to handle my phone calls. I even called after everything was fixed to explain what Michael did wrong. So thank you to the office worker who listened to me. Greg, what business are you running with incompetent electricians? What kind of business are you doing where you can hear a story like this and not call back? I sure hope Michael isn’t going around breaking other people’s connections for their appliances.
Honestly, shame on you. Zero stars if I could. So the one star is for your front-desk associate who handled my phone calls. -
We had a electrical issue that involved the fire fighters coming out. Therefore, we went through our home warranty and they referred us to GJC. They came out within a day or two. The electrician named Michael seemed friendly. He diagnosed the problem pretty quick, and informed us that the issue involved aluminum to copper and it was common for the homes in our area. He told us that he would submit everything to the home warranty provider. We talked about replacing all the outlets in the home and he gave us a rough estimate. The electrician told us to count the outlets and call them back for a estimate to replace all of the outlets. We got the quote from the home warranty ppl and it was about $400 for the one outlet; this would come out of our pocket. So we decided we mind as well get them all replaced. This is where it went left . We called GJC to get a quote and spoke with the receptionist. She took our info and said she would get the electrician to call us back. Nothing after two days so we called back. She then said she would give our information to the owner and someone would call. It's been over two weeks, 4 phone calls, 2 voice messages and no call back from anyone.

GJC was sent out through my home warranty company. Cost me $133. My front porch lights were tripping the breaker. They were here for less than 5 minutes. Looked at the light and assumed because the cover over the motion sensor was broken off that water shorted it out. They didn’t actually check anything. I took the lights off myself and found one of the lights power wires broke and was shorting out behind it. Super easy fix. Waste of my time and money.

They were polite people, just did a terrible job. They created a hole so large in our wall a tv couldn't cover it. They did not patch it up when they finished. They did explain they'd need to make a cut in the wall. I wish they explained how large. They also said we'd just need to tape and paint it. They damaged a corner of our sheetrock and covered it up with a bent piece of drywall. The cut was terrible too. It wasn't even straight. Now, we need to fix the corner, add more screws since the wall is still loose, sand around the serrated edges so the wall piece doesn't stick out, and then we can spackle and paint. Shame since they have such good ratings. See images for context.
