Beamer Electrical Contracting

Mike updated my service panel, added a generator plug/manual power transfer switch, ran some new lines, coordinated inspection for the panel, and corrected an unplanned and out of scope issue that could have lead to serious issue. Honest, thorough, and trustworthy.

I had a terrible experience with Beamer Electrical Contracting and would not recommend them.

Michael came out to fix two recessed lights in our kitchen that were not working and somehow managed to make the situation significantly worse. During his visit, the power to the entire front right side of our house went out, including the kitchen, dining room, and part of the living room.

At one point during his visit, he opened the light switch panel in the kitchen and left exposed wires behind with no explanation or guidance on whether it was safe, which is extremely inconsiderate given that we have a child in the home.

I reached out right away to get this fixed, as this was clearly an emergency that he caused. Despite that, he showed no urgency or concern. It took over a month for him to return, leaving us without power in a large portion of our home for most of December, including Christmas, and into January.

When he finally came back, he replaced our original dimmable switch with a standard one. When I pointed out that we had a dimmable switch before, he said I would need to pay extra to get the correct one. I found this unreasonable given that this issue only existed because of his work.

Overall, this experience showed a complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic care for a customer’s home. This situation disrupted our household during the holidays, and the response was slow and dismissive. I would strongly caution others before hiring this company.
