Very unprofessional, people would just randomly show up at my house even thou I had asked to be contacted prior to any service calls.

Very unprofessional. Trying to correct a problem was useless as "Heather" could care less!

Very Professional- my windows are cleaners quarterly and they are always on time and the windows look great!

I cannot say enough GOOD things about " G's ". They are insured and professional, fast, and very good. They landscaped my yard yesterday and I have used them manytimes in the past.

Moved into a 3-story townhome and needed to hire window cleaners for the first time after almost 40 years doing it myself. Very pleasantly surprised with both the quality of their work and the price. Will use regularly.

These people came to clean my gutters and never removed the debris (leaves, sticks, etc. ). I called to complain and he said that all the debris was from the valleys in the roof and was not part of the gutter! I mean come on, don’t be lazy. Would not recommend!

I have used Eric and his crews for 13 plus years. Cleaning my shop windows every 2 months Cleaning our new house windows. Clearing and cleaning our gutters and down spouts. This past spring was a major project that needed Eric's knowledge. Dig into my hillside and prepare for me to build my new storage shed. The over 100 ft. Of field drainage. Cut out another section of our hillside and built 36 feet of retaining wall with field drainage. Last but not was a beautiful patio that my wife wanted. The regarded the lawn that had been torn up all new topsoil and receided and fertilized also covered so seeds were not eaten by birds.Truely a tough job because of all of the rain last spring. Truly did an excellent work I hope to have a project for him next year.I will never use anyone else. Thomas A Grove

It’s a small business but they get a high volume of work from customers in the area. Be patient with the process of being seen (you may have make a follow-up call), but once you are on the list to come to your house, Eric G. and his crew will totally take care of you. We had a unusual problem with our gutter system. These guys came in and took care of it quickly and professionally. High quality work. Worth every penny. I would use them again.

Show up quickly, very professional, no extra charges and they explained what they found and did. Reasonable pricing. Thanks much!

I called in November and talked to Eric. He stated that he would be out that Friday to give me a quote for window and gutter cleaning. He never showed up, never responded to my calls or text. I would give zero stars if I could.

Didn't call back

So I went out and got 4 estimates for landscaping in my backyard. I had an area behind a retaining wall that just got neglected, so there were just weeds everywhere. Blackwood wasn't the cheapest. But, their estimate was the most detailed, so we worked out an arrangement that still got what I was looking for at a fair price. Best of all, they came with suggestions. All of the others were more like, "you tell us what you want." Admittedly, I don't have an eye for such things, and the Blackwood folks were the only ones to tell me what would work/look the best. They were right. I couldn't be happier with the result. Communication was great, and they showed up exactly when they said they would. Highly recommend these guys.

Well first off does anyone have any contact with pete blackwood? We as a contractor on a job have not been paid for work done completing a job for him. Zero communication with him or his office and the customer has had zero response from him also. They actually still owe blackwood group for the work that we jumped in and finished after a botched first attempt from another contractor or employees? We are trying to have any communication with pete! I have seen that maybe he is selling the business? But that's not a reason to ignore us. I believe he has shut the doors and walked away! Shameful!

Horrible Experience. I contracted with Blackwood Group, LLC in July 2024 for a driveway demolition, wall build and decorative stamped concrete driveway installation. During the course of the project, Mike Cyrilla of Blackwood lied to me, screamed at me, hung up on me, used profanity directed at me, sent a crew that refused or didn’t know how to follow the engineering drawings or guidance from Versa Lok for the wall build, and generally made the project a miserable experience. The job was not completed in a workmanlike manner and to the quality that was described in the contract. The work stopped in August 2024. The quality of the work was so poor that Pete Blackwood (owner of Blackwood Group) came onsite to look at it and agreed that it needed to be ripped out and re-done. He agreed that he would do that. Pete spent the Fall of 2024 attempting to find a suitable contractor that could complete the job but was not successful.
Additionally, there is damage that the Blackwood Group work crew caused to the front of our house - concrete spatter on front door, concrete spatter on the front trim (newly painted) around door, concrete spatter on the brick front of the house, and concrete spatter on a planter. Blackwood Group work crew also damaged our in-ground sprinkler system so that the zone near the front of the house doesn't work any longer.
As of today, no work to fix the issues has been done. We had paid him $37600. He offered to refund $18650 and stated that he still wants to do the work and then when complete, we would pay him the remaining amount outlined in the contract. He did refund $18650. Blackwood then informed us that Blackwood Group was declaring bankruptcy and referred all further communications thru their lawyer. At that point, they refused to communicate with us or resolve the issues. Blackwood still owes us ~$19000 not including the legal fees that we have incurred because of this situation. In summary, I DO NOT RECOMMEND. THEY DO HORRIBLE WORK AND RIPPED ME OFF.

They came and trimmed back some very large trees. They worked quickly and cleaned everything after they were done. Great experience and very professional. Lou also clearly knows his stuff! Would use his company again.

It says they service Pittsburgh but when we reached out as I did we were told we were 45-55 mins away and they weren’t interested.

Timely, responsive, communicative, excellent work. Very happy with result. Will work with again.

MSS has been cutting our lawn for years. They do a great job and are a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them!

Matt is a hardworking, trustworthy individual. He communicates well and is easy to work with. His company, MSS Landscaping, has been taking care of our property’s ground maintenance for several years and has always done a very good job. 👍🏻👍🏻
