Tree reviews in Chester, Pennsylvania

Tremendous Applause!

The way I see it, I could either invest in the work of the “nation’s most skilled tree removal company (Jake’s Tree Service)” to professionally take down trees that had grown to close to our home, or… I could let a ferocious wind storm knock them onto the roof of the house - and then have to move out of the home God gave us while time-consuming repairs are being made.

As it so happens, the Jake’s job which I am now reviewing included clearing the area behind our home of storm debris. We had already lost three large trees this past July. Fortunately, none of them hit the house. Now, we needed to remove trees that posed a threat in the future.

Clearly, there are lots and lots of tree service companies in this area. Yet few of them have the organizational understanding to serve the customer’s needs when the job is complex - when it’s not just about “taking down a few trees.”

The job Jake’s Tree Service completed for us was complex. It involved working in a dense mini forest complicated by the debris. The work area behind our home had navigational issues as well. Each one of the equipment operators rose brilliantly to the challenge.

The coordination among the job estimator, office schedulers, job foreman and his crew was impressive. Each one understood and completed his assigned responsibilities. Moreover, from the beginning of the project (which started with a quote on the work) until the last log was picked up on the street in under 24 hours, I was treated with respect. Every concern I had for protecting our home while the work was going on was noted by Isaac, the job foreman, and passed on to his crew. The last tree to be removed from our property was estimated to be 117 feet in height.

If I could give the men and women employed by Jake’s Tree Service a hundred stars, I would.

We are grateful for all of them.

Jake’s crews are excellent…. They have been here three times now. 1st visit was just cleanup after I DIY’d three large plum trees that had severe fungus. 2nd visit was a next day emergency service for a large tree that was splitting and hovering over our barn and kids play structure. 3rd visit was to take down two enormous dead ash trees. Third visit required a crane. All three times they have come out the crew has been efficient, professional, and extremely careful. I cannot believe they got the crane in and out with almost zero damage to the very soft soil lawn. If you need tree service I highly recommend giving Jake a call.

I would highly recommend Jake's Tree Service. The day after calling the office someone came to give me an estimate (which was better than I expected). He was prompt, friendly. and explained everything in detail. Within a couple of days, I was contacted with a date for the work to be completed. The team arrived that morning, listened to what I wanted them to do and did it perfectly. From start to finish, a great experience.

Dennis came out to give us a proposal. He took his time walking the property with me and was extremely knowledgeable. They provided us with a price the same day and it was so reasonable we signed right away.

A few weeks later we got a call to let us know when they would be out to do the work; they do their scheduling on Thursday for the following week.

The crew that came were amazing. We had 3 big trees taken down; they cut, did stump grinding and cleaned up (like REALLYYYY cleaned up! They left zero mess and took care to even clean any debris on the neighbors property!) in one afternoon.

Jake's team ran a very organized operation! From the skilled and talented crew to all the heavy equipment it was like watching a show!

Our whole family was mesmerized watching them work.

I cannot stress how kind and courteous all their employees were.

I plan on calling to talk to Jake to see about replanting some trees because they also have a nursery connection!

10/10 Highly Recommend!

I highly recommend Jake’s tree service. Very professional team. They worked together exceptionally throughout the process and took care of property as well as cleaned up very well.. if you have need for value tree service I recommend you contact Jakes for your needs.

I had a large tree on my front lawn that had to be removed. Called Jake's and they had great response. Someone came out within a day and gave an estimate and explanation of how the tree removal would take place. The original time estimate was about 2-3 weeks before removal. We signed our paper work and returned to them. Within a week we were notified that they would be out on Monday of the following week. The arrived on time, Got set up and within a few hours the job was completed safely. When they left my property it was like they were never there. Will difently use again. Highly Recommend.

The crew from Jake’s arrived EARLY and completed the trimming of two trees and removal of a weed tree in less than an hour. They removed all debris (including some limbs my trash kept leaving behind) and took care with my outdoor furniture and decor. From the office staff to the workers, it was such an easy and stress free process!

Jakes Tree Service is a class act.
A professional estimator visited our home, wrote a simple but clear estimate to remove all of the branches hanging over the fence separating our home from our neighbors. We were not present when the tree staff left our property. Upon our arrival I saw that some of the tree branches were not removed. I contacted Jakes, the same estimator returned an agreed with me. He had taken pictures of what was overlooked by their staff. Several days later Jakes staff arrived as promised and removed the branches that were mistakenly not removed. And were were there upon removed without any hassle.
I would use them again.

The Jake's Tree Service team were wonderful. They were courteous and highly professional. Came early , did their job, taking out a Japanese plum tree and a different tree as well, quickly and efficiently. They also did cleanup afterwards. Would highly recommend their service.

We worked with Dennis to coordinate removal of two trees from our property last year. This year, the time came when my parents needed to remove a huge oak tree that was likely more than 100 years old from their property because it was diseased and losing limbs. Not only was the price for removal of this humongous tree excellent but the crew did a fantastic job. They were incredibly patient and showed immense compassionate to my older parents who were extremely anxious about taking down such a large tree that was so close to the house. Thanks to everyone at Jake’s Tree —keep up the great work!!!

The service was quick and professional, the quote was adhered to, they took down the dead trees and branches and removed any broken limbs in the process including all debris that came down. There was no damage associated with either my house or property and everything was disposed of promptly. I couldn’t have hoped for more!

Highly recommend. From start to finish, Jake’s was wonderful. They came out quickly for an estimate which was fair and competitive. We ran into scheduling issues with having multiple projects in the same area and Jake’s was so flexible and helpful. Anna at the front office is fantastic - she helped us through so much of the scheduling issues. All around, highly recommend Jake’s - not only will get they get the job done, and done well, they’ll treat you as a valued customer.

Multiple people recommended Jake's Tree Service and we were not disappointed! They were extremely professional and helpful from start to finish. Dennis came to the house to give us an estimate and was super friendly and knowledgeable. I had a few questions in the days after, and I was pleasantly surprised that Dennis personally called me to answer them.

On the day of tree removal, the crew arrived earlier than the scheduled time and fully removed two trees in about an hour. They were amazingly efficient, and watching them work was very impressive. A crew member walked me around the property to make sure I was satisfied and answer any questions before they left. We were very impressed with the quality and efficiency of their work, and the professionalism of everyone we interacted with. We would certainly use them again and recommend to anyone else!

Jake's did an excellent job both the trimming and clean up after. They even hauled away and cleaned up the piles I had from recent windstorms. Great people to work with. The communications made it easy.

I highly recommend Jakes tree service. Competitively priced. very good crew easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I used their financing service. Showed up on time did exactly what we agreed. the entire staff were all very professional. As we are still in a very heavily wooded area the next time they will be my first call.

Highly recommend Jake’s Tree Service! They are efficient and professional. Fabulous tree pruning in my own yard and I watched them remove an entire tree from my neighbors house-You could not even tell they were there that day- cleaned up everything. Thank you for a great job!

We had a very pleasant experience with Jake’s tree service.
The workers were very professional, efficient and cleaned up with care and respect for the property!
Highly recommend their service!!

Their service was excellent, prices were competitive, the work was done quickly and effectively. The workers were pleasant and respectful. A crane was used to remove a very large dead oak tree from my backyard.
The team of workers were excellent from the foreman who ran the team to the brave tree climber/cutter who hung from a crane and cut the tree down to the workers who took it to the chipper. All of the workers worked like well oiled machines. They were perfection! They had the tree down and stump ground from start to finish in 3 1/2 hours. Job well done!
My neighbors had an English Walnut removed by Jake's shortly before my Oak was taken down and were also very pleased with the efficiency of their team and overall of the whole job.

The guys working at Jake's are top notch. They did a wonderful job trimming our trees that are in a difficult location and a great job cleaning up the debris. We won't hesitate to have them back for our other tree needs

Originally I was contacting Jake's Tree Service to remove some branches from my neighbor's tree that hang over my yard. However, when I spoke with my neighbor he suggested I get a price to take down the tree. Jake's came out and gave him a great price! We ended up getting 3 more estimates just so he knew he got the best price. Jake's professionals got the tree down within 3 hours. My neighbor was so pleased he gave them a job trimming his Holly trees also! I ended up with a few sticks and small branches in my yard, which was amazing! Great job Jake's!

We recently hired Jake's Tree Service, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their work! From start to finish, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly efficient. They arrived on time, explained every step of the process, and handled the job with great care and attention to detail.
