Instead of Mr. Rooter, I STRONGLY recommend that you find a non-national brand, experienced local plumber to work for you. While initially responsive and professional in providing quotes and scheduling service, ultimately, I paid Mr. Rooter about $10,000.00 in 2023 to do a sewer lateral replacement, that I then had to pay another plumber $12,000.00 to redo about a year and a half later. Already, that is completely unacceptable. However, in the seemingly small matter of obtaining an itemized receipt for insurance reimbursement, I called the Mr. Rooter office more than 10 times over the course of a calendar year to request just a piece of paper. I was told many times that they would send or make it for me, received nothing, and eventually just gave up to preserve my own sanity. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I characterize my experience with Mr. Rooter as a homeowner's nightmare.
