David is very professional, on time, does great work, and is very reasonably priced for his services. I was very happy with my experience hiring him and will definitely call him back if I need additional work done around the house.

Great all around handyman: awesome complete bathroom renovation and tiling job, designed a possible kitchen renovation I’m considering having done and did several necessary home improvements for me. Dave is as honest as he is talented and easy to work with.

David did a few small jobs for us: mailbox replacement, some exterior lighting, and some ventilation work in our attic. He was responsive, on time, professional, friendly, did good work, and made some good recommendations for other improvements we hadn't considered.

David was first rate from start to finish. He does all the work himself (plumbing, drywall electrical etc) so you aren't waiting for subcontracters that you don't know. He is extremely professional and up front about prices and stuck to the estimate, even though he ran into some unexpected things when it came to the plumbing. He works on your job and your job alone. Finished just over the predicted time, and that was only because of having to move plumbing. He updated me every step of the way and sought my input when needed. He was also a great source when I wasn't sure what I wanted. It was nice to trust his years of experience. Highly recommended. I would be glad to give him a reference if you want to speak to me personally.

David removed our old mailbox and installed a new one. He responded to our request very quickly and was able to do the job the very next day. He did a better job than the original mailbox. He was very nice and very efficient. We will definitely call him for our other jobs.

Cannot recommend David highly enough! He truly helped us with a complex shower issue in a way that others simply could not do. I appreciated that he took his time to do a thorough assessment of the issue at the time of the appraisal and even before he came to do the job. He patiently took the time to educate me on the issue and answered every single question. It is so difficult to find someone who will truly do a great job. Would hire him again without hesitation!!!

We had a dated bathroom with some shower leakage issues. In addition to correcting the issues Dave created a wonderful new bathroom to our desires. He structurally repaired the shower floor area and expanded the shower size. All new fixtures were installed and we were able to make choices on the little details. Thank you!

We used David to remodel our kitchen and bathroom. He is very responsive and cares about the work he does. He is very reasonable priced and our kitchen is vastly more useable and adds value to our home.

We would recommend David's Improvements to anyone. He was very prompt coming out to give us a bid for a new kitchen ceiling. Within three days of the bid he completed the job. From start to finish excellent communication. He started the job at the exact time he quoted and worked steadily until he finished the job in the same day.

David has just finished our main floor bathroom and it's gorgeous. He is great to work with - letting us make selections, but offering his professional advice and suggestions. He is hard working and truly a craftsman!

Now, on to a full kitchen remodel!!!!

David just finished a full remodel of our main floor bath and it's gorgeous! David is great to work with - he is very knowledgeable and a true craftsman. We picked our all our materials, but he was there to offer his suggestions and professional advice.

Now...David is working on a full remodel of our kitchen!

David is just completing a full remodel of our kitchen - he removed walls, bulkheads, old cabinetry, and flooring. He worked with us at every stage of the demo and renovation - adding his expertise and professional suggestions to our vision. He did a wonderful job of installing hardwood floors to match existing 50+ year old oak flooring. David customized the cabinetry to fit the space - including a custom glass-front cabinet, added a subway tile back splash, updated plumbing and electric giving us the KITCHEN OF OUR DREAMS! My friends and family have commented that this kitchen is HGTV worthy!

David installed a new metal roof on our back porch - this eliminated/corrected a water leak and water damage on the wood frame. AGAIN....David's work is 5 Stars!

David's Improvements completed a new bathroom on our first floor. He turned an old screened in porch with a concrete floor into a gorgeous full bathroom with a contemporary, industrial elegant look. David did everything himself...electricity, plumbing, floor and shower installation, all the tile work on the main floor and the shower floor and walls, insulation, drywall, painting, molding, picking out and installing the vanity, toilet, lights and ceiling fan and windows. We usually ended up going with his suggestions on what works best in the space and for resale in the future if necessary. He even painted the molding and ceiling giving the bathroom a fancy customized look.
He is punctual, professional, ethical, hardworking, and dedicated. I am thrilled with the finished product and will absolutely recommend David and hire him again. Thank you so much David for taking care of everything! My new bathroom is my favorite room in the house!

David did an excellent job remodeling my bathroom. He was very tidy and thorough throughout the whole process. He completed the job on time and on budget. I would highly recommend him for any of your home improvement needs.

We love the basement remodel. He very dedicated and professional contractor. Great communication skills throughout the whole process. I would use him again without hesitation or reservation for future projects. Already thinking about an upcoming project for the spring. Outstanding work David!

Timely, honorable and reasonably priced. Wow - these are the things I look for and found with David's Home Improvements. I had a cable line installed in my spare bedroom and David even hooked up my set-top box and TV for me. While at my home he also replaced siding that was falling off the back of my garage and also replaced two screen doors. Total cost was about $200. Totally worth it! He even was nice to my dogs and gave them treats!!!
Apr 7, 2018 - Had David out for more home improvements recently and am really pleased w/ the work he's done thus far. He installed a ceiling fan for me in the Florida room and repaired my garage door opener. David was not only punctual but performed the work for a very reasonable price. And YES, he even treated my dogs again! Love it!
4/15/20 - I called upon David again to fix my garage door. David was here in no time and remedied my garage door immediately. He is really so talented. And , yes, he treated my dogs again!

This year we used David’s Home Improvements for three main renovations in our house. It can be intimidating starting a large project like that; but, David put us at ease right away. I cannot say enough how grateful we feel to have found David. With each project he made sure to explain the different steps involved making us become more educated home owners.
When surprises out of the scope of work came up (and there were many!!), he stepped in and assisted right away. He also insisted on being present whenever we needed to meet with a different company for other projects, such as new windows and roofing to be sure we were asking the right questions and getting the best price.
Above and beyond doesn’t really say enough. David doesn’t only do great/beautiful work; but, he is a great person as well!
After this past year, we feel like we have a friend/contractor for life.

I am a first time homeowner and have been looking for a contractor for over a year for various renovations to my house. I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. I wanted someone who was reasonably priced and could do everything, who could guide me on what my house needs and make suggestions, who did great work and was trustworthy and accountable. After spinning my wheels on my search, I saw David's website online. He appeared to be exactly what I needed, and I was right.
From the start, he has been honest, communicative, and kept me informed every step of the way. My renovations will happen later this year, as he is a one man operation, and books up quickly. I am so thankful I found him and cannot wait to see the finished result.
My mother was coming back from FL this spring and needed a walk in shower installed within a few weeks. Even though David was booked with another job, he fit it in on weekends and Easter day to finish her shower in time for her return. His wife helped too.
She is very happy with the shower, and her neighbors are impressed as well. She is a discriminating person, and the fact that she is happy with how the shower looks and the ease of use for her is a testimony to David's craftsmanship, attention to details, work ethic and customer focus. We both hope to have David's Improvements be our company for any future home needs. Thank you David for making an overwhelming time much more manageable!

We are new homeowners and were looking for a contractor to do a complete overhaul of our two 50's style bathrooms (floors, tile, shower door, tub, fans, lighting, toilet, vanity, plumbing, etc). When I met David it was obvious that he is knowledgeable and takes a lot of pride in his work Even during the initial meeting he chatted about different ideas for our space and gave explanations (in layman's terms) as to how he would handle the various aspects of the job. As someone who is not very handy around the house it was helpful and reassuring to hear about the process that he would be undertaking to redo our bathrooms. David's work proved to be true to my initial impression. He kept us in the loop with his progress and guided us through choosing everything from ceiling fans to tiles. He was always ready with helpful design tips and kept an eye out for products we might like while at the store. He kept our budget in mind throughout the whole process by providing input on the areas he thought we could save or what materials were truly worth buying at a higher quality. David was very responsive to texts, phone calls, and emails. Before he even started work on our bathrooms I called him from Home Depot while overwhelmed trying to figure out what I should be looking at or considering. He quickly returned my call and talked me through ceramic vs porcelain tiles and different product brands among other items (he even offered to swing by if needed). David's hard work and attention to detail have resulted in two gorgeous new bathroom's. We will be keeping David in mind in the future as other home projects come up! Thank you David!
