I can’t say enough good things about Sam Van Horn Electrical. I have been using them for over a decade for a variety of different jobs and issues ranging from minor repairs to recessed lights to a whole house generator. They were out today and I was reminded about how professional they are and how much trust I have in their work.

I can't say enough about the job that Burkert Electrical did for us. We recently purchased our home and we needed a complete rewire to replace all the knob and tube throughout the home across three floors. Not only that, we were on a bit of a time crunch as we wanted to get the work done before getting too settled into the house, and also before the birth of our first child whose due date was fast approaching.

From the first interaction I had with Larry, he was responsive, on-time, gave us a very clear estimate and explanation of the work to be done, and told us exactly when he would be able to do it. At each step of the way, Larry and his team delivered exactly as they planned and were consummate professionals throughout. Each day, they left the house immaculately clean - it was like we hardly knew they had been there. Given the scope of what they were doing, it was extremely impressive.

Beyond that, when my wife was concerned about the possibility of lead exposure working in an old house, they took the time to carefully explain to us the equipment they use, (the HEPA vacuums, etc.) and were very proactive about responding to her concerns - they truly wanted to make sure we were comfortable with the work being done and how they were doing it.

Without exaggeration, the work we had done here by Burkert Electrical was the best contractor experience I have had in my life. Simply a tremendous, first class job they did for us at a very critical inflection point in our lives when we needed it the most, so can't thank them enough. They got the job done on budget, ahead of schedule, and have given us so much peace of mind in our new home. Thank you!

Larry is the best electrician we've experienced. He was prompt, professional, and patient. His work was outstanding. He installed canless lights in 3 rooms of our house. Larry is the best. Him and his team handled an emergency call very promptly (dead primary breaker on a Saturday), and also upgraded my service from 100 to 200 amp. During the time power was off to the house he let me borrow a large battery pack so I could have WiFi and charge a laptop. He also let me borrow one of his ladders to cut down some dead tree branches. All finished work was very neat and bids were competitive. I’ll be using him for all electrical work moving forward!

Larry is prompt, professional and very personable. My GFCI went bad (so I thought), affecting all bathroom outlets and 2 outdoor outlets. Larry diagnosed the problem, traced the issue to the panel and even replaced the ancient unreliable GFCI within 45 minutes. Impressed by Larry's
skill, expertise, efficiency and extremely fair pricing ; so much in fact, I'm getting estimates for additional work. Prospective clients will NOT be disappointed!!!!

Larry and his team completed several projects for us, including relocating and replacing exterior lighting and installing ceiling fans indoors. They arrived exactly as scheduled, and every part of the job was done with precision and in full accordance with what we agreed on. The team was competent, efficient, and professional throughout. We recently used Burkert Electric to install LED lighting in two different rooms of our house. Larry and his crew were very courteous, did the work quickly, and they did a great job cleaning up afterward. I was extremely pleased with their overall professionalism, and I would highly recommend them!

We had them back a second time to look for a short near our inground pool. Larry found it quickly, and installed a safer GFCI for the lighting.

The third time I used Burkert was to install approximately 12 light switches after a painting project. Normally, I would do this myself, but there were 3 way and 4 way switches, which can be tricky if you do not know what you are doing. Larry’s crew completed the project in less than 1 hour.

It I will use Burkert for all future electrical projects!

We had them install a ring doorbell. They were professional and took the time to install it correctly.

I was trying to find a local electrician that could do some work for me in my condo, I like to support a family and local business. Apparently, this company does not need the work, as I have reached out to them at least four times in the last three weeks and have heard nothing back from anybody. I understand people miss calls or companies might get busy, but at least reach out and just explain that you were busy so someone can look somewhere else. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I am very disappointed as I saw the reviews and thought they would be a good company to use.
