Initially, Kyle came to my home on time to offer a quote and assessment of the job (20yds of 7ftx4ft hedges). He was prompt, courteous and his quote was accurate.
The gentleman who came to perform the removal also arrived on time. They did a great job making the stumps to ground level (I specified to leave the in ground stumps), near invisible. They cleaned up after themselves and left no trace. I will return to them for future work.

At Davey you will be dealing with friendly people who know trees. They are arborists, not landscapers with big saws. They are trained to recognize disease and insect problems that the average person would not see. They prune properly, they don't just chop.

Over the years, I have used their competitors. I was satisfied, but I didn't know what I was missing. The salesperson/account manager returns my calls right away. The specialists are truly special, care SO much about what they do, are truly experts and have saved many a tree that looked like it was on its last leaf. Davey is now my tree company.

Tim, the arborist and his tree trimmers are fantastic to deal with. We have used them for trimming, pruning, tree removal as well as fertilizer and preventive measures for some of our very large trees. I highly recommend them.

Normally when Davey Tree does their work trimming back tree limbs to clear around the electric wires, I've had good experiences dealing with Davey. Always courteous, clean up everything, but this time they cut back my weeping willow harshly. They left me branches or limbs that were 10 to 12 inches in diameter & 5 to 6 feet long. Plus the others weren't cut as long but still too long for me at 74 years old to try & get rid of them. Called Davey corporate just to find out if they were responsible to take limbs. Received a call from a Davey rep saying if it would help, he would have the crew come back & cut them down to make it more manageable for me. (They normally don't take large branches) I agreed but next time they come thru IT WILL BE DETERMINED THEY TAKE EVERYTHING THEY CUT DOWN WITH THEM. Just not real happy with the situation. Jim Wright

Great advice on how to trim the trees and bushes and then the work was done to perfection. This is the second crew from Davey with whom I have worked with and I highly recommend them for any of your yard's needs.

I had a Weeping Cherry tree that was not doing too well this year with drooping and dropping leaves etc. So, I called Davey to get their suggestions for the tree. Jonathan, one of the arborists employed at Davey, made an appointment with me to come over and look at the tree. He arrived on time and when he did, I was immediately happy with the demeanor Jonathan presented. He was and is a very personal young man who makes you feel you called the right guy over to give you advice. Jonathan gave me very good advice on not only the cherry tree but other trees that were exhibiting one issue or the other to his trained eye. He did this with no hard sell. He presented me with some proposals on the work Davey could do to keep my trees heathy which I will review and proceed as I see fit.

So, if your trees or bushes are not doing well you can do yourself a favor and get a complimentary evaluation from one of Davey's trained arborists.

Have been a customer of Davey Tree for many years. We have used them for lawn care, tree care and fertilization, tree removal and tree pruning and trimming. This time it was tree pruning and trimming. As usual they were prompt, did the job we requested and cleaned up the property before they left. We have always found them to be very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them for your tree and lawn care needs.

I can always depend on Davey Tree to maintain my trees or plant new ones! I've tried other tree experts/landscapers due to cost but learned that Davey's work out performs them all. Davey's trees they plant are surviving! Where others planted by someone else are dying due to incorrect planting. I highly recommend Davey for their knowledge! They have many services available.

I was very pleased with the job The Davey Crew did. The pruned trees look great. The Black Cherry tree was removed, leaving almost no trace, except for the stump which cannot be removed. The property was cleaned up beyond my expectations.

At this point, the stump of the Hemlock has not yet been ground. I have no reason to think this job won't be as well done as the tree removal and pruning.

(Specific to the KoP team): The lead guy was very friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't recommend additional service that he didn't feel was necessary, even when I inquired about follow up. He seemed to care more about keeping the trees happy and healthy then making an extra buck. The crew was very respectful of our property, our time, and our trees.

Communication was sparse. We had to call to find out when they were planning to do the work. They were good with scheduling the estimate but after that it felt difficult to get any info from them.

Ultimately the positive experience outweighed the initial frustration, and if you care about getting the job done right more than the administrative stuff, then these guys are the right team for you.

Fantastic, excellent service.
The tree, was a humongous white oak.
The crews were excellent.
Due to the need for PECO to de-energize the power lines, it took three 6 hours days, from 8am to 2pm, over 9 months.
The crews carefully planned how they were going to remove the tree.
Where to set the crane for maximum reach and easy of lowering the limbs/branches and the trunk.
There were no wasted motion. They worked with safety as a priority.
Top men made sure that their safety lines were properly positioned, and ground crews clear.
The crews constantly worked the job, with those on the ground, feeding the chipper, or constantly cleaning.
When the chain saw man was waiting, he was sharpening his chain saw.
Complete coordination with crane operator.
With the last of the tree, which was the main trunk, requiring eight huge sections, coordination with the two removal truck drivers and crane operator was accomplished with minimum effort.
Tim, my sales man, posted signs one to two days ahead of the work. Notified me when the work was scheduled.
He personally checked the job, several times, to make sure everything was going according to plan.
I had previously contacted another tree company, who would not work around high voltage power lines, which were located in front of the tree.

Had a stump ground by Davey Tree that another company failed to complete. They were very quick in getting back to me, scheduling, and completing the work (fully!, thank heavens!), 100% professional, thorough and everyone from first contact on the phone to the consultation with Gary to the gentlemen who performed the work were courteous and extremely knowledgeable. My neighbors even commented and were impressed with the equipment they used to keep the chips from hitting my/everyone's houses/cars. Love working with people who are truly experts in their field and complete the work they have promised efficiently and professionally!

They did the work, got paid, and send you invoices of the full balance as if you didn’t pay them. My insurance carrier progressive recommended this company to clear the tree and it’s been nothing but hassle. I have confirmation that payment has been received and still received an invoice dated 11/20 that I’m past due. This service was done in September. I shouldn’t be calling people nonstop at this company on why they didn’t apply the payment yet when I have electronic receipt that they were paid and received it. This is absolutely ridiculous and I don’t know who is working in their billing department but no one ever answers and I always have to email someone over there or call my insurance to contact them and I’m just flabbergasted that I still received a bill after I just spoke with someone a month ago and was told this would be corrected because THEY RECEIVED THE PAYMENT IN FULL!!!. I would RUN from this company unless you like getting billed by a business who is clearly trying to double dip.

Honest pricing, clear timing and communication, clean work.

I live in a townhouse on a terrace without much road access and had a walnut tree growing over my house from the hillside without room for a crane to come in. Had a couple companies come out for advice and quotes on removal.

Davey's price came out to be the same cost as two other companies after they put on their 'discounts' - no fake coupons with this company and a straight forward answer to what type of work would have to be done to safely remove it with the access available.

We agreed and were put into their queue and given notification the week of removal that they'd be out. Took about half the day to remove the tree, no debris was left on my property from the wood chips or dust and the logs were piled up down on the hill.

I continue to get quarterly emails from this company with useful information about basic tree and landscape care as the seasons change.

Owning a house can feel like a gamble with taking care of it and who to call. I feel quite content to have contacted this group. This was in the Spring of 2022 and have had no issues through summer with the ground or area the tree was at.

We had two Beech trees worked on last week. Gabrielle was up there climbing from limb to limb and removing a quarter of both trees. It really needed to be done and I felt the price was reasonable. They were courteous and careful. I will certainly go back to The Davey Tree Experts!
