Julien called ahead, was on time and professional the whole time. He explained what the issue was, fixed it immediately and was very personable. I was very concerned being a new homeowner that this was going to be an expensive and involved fix, But he made sure to check over any potential problems. This was an outstanding experience and I would recommend him fully.

We turned on our furnace for the first time a couple weeks ago and everything was warm and toasty! That Pittsburgh weather took its swing and warmed up so we shut it off! Then when we turned it back on we had nothing! Called Wade and spoke with Melissa and she was super helpful right out of the gate! She answered all my questions and got me set up with an appointment. She was upfront about their services techs being busy as everyone is having those seasonal furnace issues but assured they would do their best to get to us ASAP! Our initial appointment was about a week and a half out so we were a little worried about some of the colder weather coming in but then out of no where came a call letting us know a tech would be able to come sooner rather than later! Fast forward to the day and the tech Austin called and kept me updated on arrival. Showed up and was polite and professional. He diagnosed our issue and unfortunately it was more serious than we were hoping it would be. Our furnace is nearly 20 years old but Austin went over it, did some basic cleaning and checked it out. We had him replace the broken parts and in no time we were back up and running. He let me know that it still looked good an was working properly but also reminded me that it is almost 20 years old. He didn’t try to sell me on other unnecessary services or push filters and duct cleanings down my throat. Over all from the start of the initial phone call with Melissa to thanking Austin as we concluded business, everyone from Wade was exceptional!

I’ve been asked to review Dalton; while he was goods the job isn’t complete still. He came out for service, and said he’d return. That was 7/9. It has been a month. I’ve been patient.
The techs are nice, for sure; John in sales, Brian, and Dalton, have all been out for our system that was replaced on April. However, this is exactly as Dalton left it.
UPDATE: Feb 2026
I am so far beyond frustrated...this began 13April 2025. It has become abundantly clear that your company does not care at all.
Our unit was blowing cool air. We have a Unico System. So Wade came out and said we needed a new heat pump, we bought one. $10500 apprx. A tech was sent out again 6/25/25, 6/30, 7/2,7/3. In July, they said we needed a new thermostat, so we got that. If you see my previous Google review, you'll see that the tech said he would come back, left the thermostat hanging and never returned. I was too frustrated to have them come back out after them not returning my phone calls and never returning to finish the job anyway. You can see from the response to my original Google review that no one bothered reading it.
The below freezing temps hit us end of January. We again noticed that the system was blowing out cool air. We called the emergency line and left a message. The next day, I submitted an online request for service, and then finally had to call that Monday morning to speak to someone, because no one had responded. A tech was sent out Tue, 1/27, 1/28. We shut the system off, have heavy curtains hanging between doorways, plastic on the windows and glass doors, we have electric heaters going, and have burned through so much firewood, to keep the downstairs remotely bearable, with temps ranging between 55-65 degrees; outdoor temps dipping into the negative double digits.I let them know again on 1/30 that we still did not have heat downstairs. February 2, another tech was sent out; 2/5-three men arrived. I was told we need even more vents (holes in the ceiling, there are now 15 holes in the ceiling, 10 of which are in the living spaces). The vents are insanely loud and remind me of sitting in an office building and hearing the HVAC systems come on. I let them know AGAIN, 2/5, that it is still blowing cool air, and again on 2/8 I reached out. The tech said we can run the system to get air circulating; the fan never shuts off. Tuesday, 2/10, 3 techs arrived-when one mentioned needing more vents again, I asked why, he couldn't tell me so he went to call his boss. I spoke to his boss for 11 min and he explained the why and admitted fault when they initially installed the heat pump back in April, so I a-greed to let the crew come back in. After 52 minutes, they were still sitting in their vans in our driveway, so I called back-he had never told them to come back inside to do the job. The crew returned to finish yesterday, 2/11. We have a new thermostat. The crew left around 2 yesterday afternoon, having set the new thermostat at 70. The temp inside was then 64. I left to run errands, returning around 4, the temp dropped to 62! So I called again, and left 2 messages, no response. By 4:42, with the heaters plugged back in, it had risen to 65, with the outside temps of a "feels" like 19. I checked again at 7:27, the thermostat displayed a warning that the auxiliary heat had been running too long, and on for 3+hours (time stamp 6:02), inside temp was 62 degrees. After dinner and clean up yesterday, we went upstairs with the downstairs at 61.When going downstairs this morning, there were more notifications on the thermostat-aux heat running too long, 3+hours @12:17a, and "problem with the furnace/boiler heating..., rom temperature decreased by 3 degrees" @11:48p. The interior temperature was 65 @ 06:52 this morning. I have been trying to get a hold of someone at Wade since 0800 this morning. I was told they were in a meeting. I called again at 11, and was told the same thing. It is 65 in here. The original problem still has not been fixed-out system is blowing cool air. -
During this recent storm with temperatures in the negative digits my furnace which was never installed properly decided to stop working. Wade wasn’t my first call or my 4th. That was my big mistake. Wade showed up and showed out! They sent a young man by the name Brian to help. He was kind courteous and went completely out of the way to get me heat in our time of need. No distributors had the part we needed in stock and Brian was able to locate a used pressure switch to help until our part arrived on Monday. He started checking other things in the furnace and before you know it the system was running at its best. I cannot thank them enough for handling this! The best part was he was able to get the majority of it covered under warranty. Next time they will be my only call!

Please know I was consulting HVAC companies (3) to replace a 31 year old fully functional air conditioner and furnace.
Due to outdated energy efficiency.
I teamed up with a Comfort Advisor Dan @ Wade Heating & Cooling, Dan was prompt, professional and extremely knowledgeable.
I was familiar with Wade’s service standard because I hand a boiler furnace installed for my mom a few years ago. Dan presented a premium, Lennox furnace & air conditioner unit at a cost that beat the competition. And offered finance options that were a game changer.
I look forward to many years of heating & cooling comfort and, I appreciate Dan’s integrity.
Best regards,

Lonnie is so amazing and honest. He’s been with us a while. I have an elderly Mom and he’s so good to her just because he’s a good person! I highly recommend him and Wade. They are a great company from reception to installation and all in between!

We had gillece put in a new Goodman furnace about 18 months ago. And last Sunday we woke up and it was not coming on. This is when temperatures were in the negative teens. So we of course called gillece immediately. After hours of waiting for a call back we decided to call someone else. I called wade and they had someone out shortly after. This was on a Sunday evening. So for that alone they have my business in the future. But the the guy Zach they sent out was very good and more importantly felt very comfortable having him in my home with 5 kids. The reason I chose Wade to begin with was they had very good reviews and now I see why. My heat is on thanks to them and no thanks to gillece. Which by the way still haven't heard anything from them.

I recently had Wade's technician Zack service my furnace, and I wanted to share my positive experience.
Zack arrived promptly and demonstrated professionalism throughout the repair process. He thoroughly assessed the issue, explained the steps clearly, and completed the repairs efficiently. His expertise and attention to detail were impressive, and he left the area clean.
Also, enrolled in the Wade's Comfort Club, would recommend to everyone!
I highly recommend Zack and WADE for any furnace repairs. Thank you for your excellent service! -
Came home from work and it was 55 in the house. There's a snow storm coming so I couldn't afford to not have heat! I did all the things that I could safely do to try and get the furnace back on. After I determined that the fix was way beyond my limits, I called Wade Heating and Cooling. It was after 6pm but Chase answered on the second ring and after getting info, he said a technician would call me ASAP. About 15 minutes later Trent called and he was to my home in 20 minutes. His personality, professionalism, and expertise were greatly appreciated. Turns out it was just the igniter and Trent had a new one in so fast! The whole process from call to finished job only took about an hour and I was toasty warm again. I highly recommend both Wade Heating and Cooling, and Trent especially if you have furnace issues!

Wade Heating & Cooling used to be professional and dependable. Sadly, that is no longer the case. Wade installed my Carrier Infinity HVAC system in 2011, and for years I've paid $270 annually for their “Comfort Club” service.
June 25, 2025: A power surge caused my HVAC system to stop working. I called Wade to diagnose and repair.
June 27: Technician Brian diagnosed a damaged motherboard and possibly a damaged thermostat. He said the repair would include replacing the motherboard, transformer, and maybe the thermostat. He said Wade would call on the 30th to provide an estimate and schedule the repair.
June 30: Wade didn’t call by noon, so I called. They said the repair would cost $1,000+, but no written estimate was provided. They scheduled the job for July 3.
July 3: Technician Nick replaced the motherboard and transformer. He said the thermostat wasn’t working, & it wasn’t on the work order. He returned with a used Infinity thermostat and installed it. I paid $1,415 but received no invoice or receipt at the time.
July 4: The thermostat's outdoor sensor incorrectly read 70°F when it was 85°F. The office told me it didn’t matter—the sensor was only used to keep the system from running below 55°F.
July 6: The thermostat displayed “SENS ERROR. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CALL TECHNICIAN.”
Technician Dalton diagnosed a faulty outdoor sensor and said the sensor is, in fact, vital to the Infinity system’s function. He put in a work order and said Wade would call to schedule.
July 7: Four days after my 7/3 payment, I received the receipt. The Description of Work read, “Replaced transformer board and infinity control. System is operating properly at this time. Task “MISC 1” Description “Please add a description of work to be completed.” Qty “1.00” Price “$1,415.00” Total “$1,415.00.”
July 8: Wade didn’t call by 3pm, so I called. A woman said she would check on the sensor order status and would call back “in a few minutes.” She never did.
July 9: Wade didn’t call by 10:45am, so I called. She said they'd “hopefully” come this week and asked for my availability—I told her anytime. At 11:30am, Sherry from Wade called and scheduled an appointment for July 10, 12–4pm. I asked her to confirm there would be no charge. She said she’d check and call me back. She didn’t.
July 10: Wade’s technician Nick replaced the sensor.
July 17: The thermostat again displayed “SENS ERROR. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CALL TECHNICIAN.” I called Wade. They created a work order and said someone would come that day or the next and would call first. No one came or called either day.
July 19: Since Wade failed to call or show on the 17th or 18th, I called. They scheduled me for Monday, July 21, 12–4pm.
July 21: Wade didn't arrive by 4:45pm. I called and spoke to dispatch at 4:45 and again at 5:50. As of 9:45pm, no one showed up.
July 22: I called Wade at 8:15am. The woman said I was on yesterday's schedule but that it was accidentally canceled by Wade. She put me on the schedule for 12-4pm. Nick replaced the Infinity thermostat again and said the problem should be resolved.
July 25: The thermostat displayed “SENS ERROR. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CALL TECHNICIAN.” I called Wade. Technician Nick said the problem is the thermostat. He removed the Infinity thermostat and replaced it with a very basic Braeburn thermostat and said I will have to purchase a replacement Infinity thermostat if I want its features. He would not leave the Infinity thermostat that he removed saying it could help someone else “in a pinch.” I thought it was broken???
July 28: Wade said their 6/30 estimate was incomplete & that I have to pay them $1,587 more to have a fully functional HVAC system with an Infinity thermostat. They removed my Infinity thermostat and replaced it with a basic Braeburn.
July 29: Wade said they would refund the $1,415 and reinstall the old Infinity thermostat with no guarantee that it would work.
August 30: I tried the heat for the first time since the repair, and it doesn’t work. Thanks, Wade. Deliberate? -
Wade H&C was great to work with. From the purchase w/ Lonnie who was knowledgeable , personable and professional to Brian, Zak & Zach doing an excellent job on the install. I am extremely pleased with the heat pump and it's performance!

We are currently updating a family home and, after extensive online research, I decided to contact Wade Heating and Cooling for a quote. I am so glad I did.
From the start, the communication has been exceptional. I scheduled our appointment three weeks out, and our sales rep, Dan, was fantastic throughout the entire waiting period. He even texted us the Friday before to confirm and wish us a safe flight, then followed up again on Monday morning to let us know he was on his way.
During the consultation, Dan spent about an hour walking me through the best options for our space. He was incredibly patient, open to all my questions, and helped me navigate the process with ease. We eventually settled on a mini-split unit, and Dan followed up promptly with both a phone call and a formal email quote.
If you’re looking for a professional, communicative, and helpful team for your HVAC needs, I highly recommend asking for Dan at Wade!
