I have never heard LOUDER grass mowers and blowers than what 31East uses! On a Sunday yet! My Edgewood neighbor uses this company to mow and blow their yard. The guy mows in a standing riding mower which is really unnecessary for a yard in this neighborhood. Sooo disturbing!!!

Let me begin by saying that if I could give five negative stars to 31 Landscapes & Excavating, (out of Lower Burrel) I would.

I had them come out and dig a hole beside my house to make a new leach bed. While the representative (Chris, who may be the owner) who was running the excavator postponed on digging the hole twice. Which was fine, I had no real problem with that at the time. But filling the hole back in is another story.

This guy postponed filling in the hole six times. He kept saying he’s busy meanwhile I already paid him $1000 to dig the hole. I paid cash and upfront (Lesson learned) because he was recommended by someone else I knew. I also explained to him that I was having siding put on my house today and I needed the hole filled in by yesterday so that the siding guys can put their scaffolding up without a problem.
Then he calls me last night and tells me I need to quit texting him and he was a real jerk about it. So to be completely transparent, I lost it. I lost it on the guy. I called him every name in the book and he was throwing insults back at me. Meanwhile, let me remind everyone, I’m the customer. So to make a longer story short do not use this company. Obviously this company’s representative (Chris) is incompetent, unprofessional and he obviously has a very low work ethic. The whole still sits at the side of my house.

This was our first experience with Ben. We found him very efficient and honest! Took care of our needs in one day! Very pleased and I’m sure you will be too!!!

Ben and Zach came out the day after I called, and despite being out of their normal area. They fixed my patched up and leaking pipes, up to code, no more leaks, noise, smells! They did not go over the estimate and they were friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I heartily recommend you consider hiring Ben’s Plumbing, Heating and Remodeling if you need major work done in your bathroom.

We were in a bind when we first contacted Ben. A year prior, we had started on a major bathroom remodeling (replace tub and shower using tile instead of tub surround, replace sink/vanity, add tile splashguard around sink, and replace storage cupboard and light). We bought a bathtub, several boxes of ceramic and glass tile, a vanity, faucets and all of the related equipment. However, after tearing out the old tub and surround, the original contractor was not able to complete the work, leaving us stranded. Additionally, the floor of the shower we were using in the basement as an alternative to the upstairs shower cracked near the drain, causing water damage. Luckily, for us, Ben (and his son) came to the rescue.

Initially, he was a little reluctant to pick up a project that someone else had started. However, seeing the situation we were in, he fortunately agreed to do the job.

He gave us an initial estimate and a timeframe for when he could start the work. He noted upfront that the estimate could change 15 to 20 percent, based on extras and unexpected things that come up during the course of the job, especially in an older home.

His projected timeframe to start the project pretty much hit right on, as did the overall cost of the work. He was able to work with the material already purchased to complete the main bathroom remodeling. He also was able to show us a variety of options to replace the basement shower surround, and place the order for the one we selected. In addition, he came up with great solutions when unexpected issues arose during the course of the overall project

Ben and his son are quality professionals and people. In today’s world of long lead-times for material and even longer lead-times to get a contractor, you can’t go wrong by reaching out to Ben.
One more thing. Some people whistle while they work. Ben sings while he works.

We had a furnace and ac installed in our new house. Ben was very professional and responsive. We had called several places and left messages and never got a response. Ben was the first to respond and gave us pricing options and a timeline. We also got another quote from a big company and the guy who came out was not very helpful. You could tell we were just another contract to him. Ben answered all of our questions, which took a few different phone calls and never once lost patience with us. Once we hired him and he came out he was very nice and tidy with the job. We were very satisfied and would recommend him for any hvac or any other work. We will definitely have him come back for any remodeling needs.

I didn’t use his services but I was having an issue with my water heater. Called several plumbers, no response or they were to booked. The company that installed my water didn’t respond to my calls either. Ben called me back promptly, I didn’t even leave a voicemail, I explained to him my issue. He then told me what was probably wrong with it and what to do. When I got home I did what he said and it worked! What a Honest man. He could’ve charged me to come look at it and just took my money but he didn’t. I would definitely recommend him and would definitely call him to do work in the future if I have anymore issues.
