Do NOT use this company...they installed a furnace for me last year...apparently lied to me and did not install the furnace correctly, nor did they identify a cracked drain pan in my AC at that time (which has continued to drain onto the heat exchange of the new furnace)...had them come out 3 times for the leaking about 4-5 weeks ago...they couldn't find out what the issue was, but also didn't really look too hard...they we're supposed to follow up with me after their last visit and never did...Called Tudi, and they came out had the unit opened up and diagnosed the problem within an hour...please save yourself time and DO NOT USE PNP...

Came for a heating tune up. Broke my heater and said I can only schedule through my HSA. Lady hung up the phone on me and then says I hung up. So unprofessional it’s ridiculous.

Great experience with these guys! They came out to my house same-day and Mike was very professional. Would definitely hire them again for my next AC job.

Thank you for upgrading our furnace and keeping us from freezing another night. I will recommend you to anyone in the future. The owner is so nice and all the staff thank you so much for the timely and quick install.

I just had my electric heat pump and air handler replaced in Crafton Heights. The crew came out quickly to address my situation and preformed the work professionally and fast. Also, they were friendly and respectful of the property.

I'm incredibly disappointed with this company. They were assigned to us by our home warranty company. Their communication was poor, they cancelled our appointment without telling us, and then when we tried to reschedule, we were told that it would be a few WEEKS because they were "too booked." I will not be using this company in the future nor will I be referring them future business.

Honestly, this is the only HVAC company I would recommend to anyone in Pittsburgh. Being a realtor, I meet a lot of these guys. A LOT. These guys, hands down the best, most honest, caring, and easy to work with. They are a family company and take pride in their work. Super respectful and bent over backward for me and my family. I will 100% recommend them to anyone I care about, and that says a lot, and means even more. Do not waste your time with anyone else, these guys are the best.

We had such a frustrating morning with our home warranty company. Micheal just about made our day! He made time to come to our home within a half-hour of reaching out to him, walked us through everything that could have been causing our issue and gave us a myriad of maintenance tips to help keep our systems in good shape. He was very knowledgeable and super helpful! just couldn't thank him enough for taking time for us so last minute.

I was assigned PNP through my HSA home warranty company after my central AC stopped working ,and I'm so glad I ended up with them. They diagnosed the problems with my very old AC, gave me my options, replaced the unit, and updated the hardware and duct work in the basement to make everything compatible with the new unit. From start to finish the process of diagnosing, repairing, and financing were so easy. I didn't even have to talk to those annoying HSA employees about getting my buy-out. They did everything for me. The diagnostic techs, install techs, and owner (Mike) were all on time, respectful of what I wanted, and very informative. They answered every question and explained things to me in detail so that I was kept in the loop about everything. The owner was super easy to get ahold of and answered my phonecalls or called right back every time. All staff were presentable in both the way they spoke to me (not patronizing) as well as their appearance- and they smelled pleasant too (I've had alot of stinky contractors come through my house and either rip me off or disrespect my home.) These guys were a god-send. They felt like neighbors, and I would be happy to work with this family-run company again. Thanks for making this as painless as possible.

*was assigned by our warranty company, AHS*
    Short version- LIARS, scammers.

    Long version:
We have heating & air systems coverage under our home warranty with AHS. Our furnace was having an issue short cycling, so we called in a claim. We were assigned PNP.
Initially they were friendly and moved quickly to get us an appointment.
Their technician, Trevor, told us that our heat exchanger was cracked, and that the unit was leaking carbon monoxide throughout the house. He also told us that the unit had to be replaced, as there was no option for repair.

The next day their sales manager, Keith came out and took down the furnace serial number, and said there may be some "incidental" charges probably about $1500, but would know more after he submitted the invoice to AHS. He did not take any measurements/inspect anything while present. He was nice, chatted about the neighborhood (he lives near by) and he went about his way to get the approval.

Promptly the next day he communicated the warranty company approved & we were responsible for $1500 for the "incidentials" not covered under warranty.

We contacted the warranty company for clarification who explained that $900 of that price was for "ductwork modification", $100 for "drain line", $200 for "gas line", $300 for "electric line".
Since the new unit was not being moved/relocated & no major ductwork modification was taking place, we could not reconcile the high cost of the ductwork.
Also during this back and forth with the warranty company we were informed the warranty company was only paying 2 hours of labor to PNP, which was $205.

This made us even more suspicious.
To help put our mind at ease, we requested an itemization or something similar from Keith. He 180ed, became unfriendly & unresponsive.
After several attempts to reach Keith failed/he did not return our calls- we called & spoke to the office manager who refused to provide any info stating we have to speak with Keith, despite our explanation he wasn't returning our calls. We stated we were considering getting a quote from a other company since they didn't seem to care & ended the call.
The owner, Mike, called back requesting clarification of the situation. We explained.
He only stated that the costs "would not be any higher than the estimate." & "we don't do itemizations" I told him we will need to discuss it before we make a decision.

Early the following day, before we could make a decision we were informed via email from AHS the repair order had been closed by PNP as complete despite no labor being done.

Since it was late October & temperature dropped below freezing at night, we had to pack our things & stay with a friend, with all of our pets in tow. While we were gone, my father cleaned the furnace flame ports which got it to work properly again. We also installed carbon monoxide detectors throughout the house.

Suspicious of their shady business practices, we also scheduled another evaluation with a separate professional.
They informed us that the heat exchanger was not cracked, & that no carbon monoxide leak was taking place, confirmed by a CO meter reading of 0.
The furnace is working just fine, only needed a minor cleaning, & there was never any need to replace it.
They also informed us of tell tale signs of a cracked heat exchanger, roughly how a furnace works- and it was clear that we were intentionally misled.

At this point it all starts to makes sense - PNP uses these warranty companies to get their foot in the door then says the unit is shot and needs replaced then charges exorbitant prices to the property owner for services specifically not covered for "incidentals".

PNP blatantly lied to and misled us, caused significant & unnecessary stress, & attempted to scam us into buying a new furnace. They are dishonest and unethical scumbags who clearly have no issue putting other people in harm’s way to cheat them out of a few dollars.

If you search “furnace heat exchanger cracked scam” you will discover this is a common tactic of shady HVAC companies.

Great life lesson :) thanks pnp.

DO NOT USE! Wow, as I am reading through all of these reviews, I am realizing I have also been scammed. They sent a technician to my house to fix my furnace. The tech said they needed to order a part and then they would come back to fix it. They never called. I left multiple messages. Then suddenly they are "moving offices" and are using a third party answering service. Three weeks goes by, and no one has returned my call. Finally after calling AHS and complaining, PNP called me back and Keith argued with me, cut me off when I was speaking, and was overall super rude and unprofessional. I had to jump through several hoops to get AHS to switch vendors/contractors.

**Please read if you are using home warranty**

Summary: Unprofessional and tried to scam me out of 1800 dollars stating that my home warranty wouldn’t cover all costs even though they never sent a thing to my home warranty for cost. Research found at least 3 others have been scammed this way when usijg home warranty.

    Long read:
This company was dispatched by my home warranty to service my furnace. I know home warranty service requests can be a pain for a contractor to deal with and they get lost in the sauce. So the day of my appointment I reached out to PnP to ensure I was on their schedule. The man over the phone in a very irritated manor reiterated to me that yes, I was on the schedule and that they would be there later. Though unprofessional I waived it off since he was probably dealing with some pain in the neck furnace and carried on my day waiting for them to come. 4 o’clock rolls around and no one showed up. I called into their dispatch and they said they would look into it. Owner called me to let me know that he apologizes but no one will make it out today because my ticket was marked at closed. Irritating but whatever, they’re coming tomorrow. Next day comes and tech says furnace needs replaced. They’ll get into contact with my home warranty to send them the diagnostic and itemized repair cost to see how much they will cover. They tell me that they’ll reach out to me the next day to let me know. Next day comes and goes and they don’t reach out to me. I call the owner the day after they we’re supposed to get back to me to let him know I was not taken care of again. He doesn’t apologize this time but lets me know that my home warranty won’t pay for everything and I will need to pay 1800 dollars out of pocket. Thinking this was high since home warranty is supposed to cover full price of furnace and installation + 1250 of modifications to ducts/ gas lines I called them up to see why the price was so high. The home warranty tells me they have not record a thing from PnP. So the price they gave me was completely made up. They did not know how much my home warranty would cover since they never talked to them about it! Home warranty said they would reach out to them to get the diagnostic and let me know. The home warranty reached out to them over 10 times in the course of over 3 weeks to get that diagnostic information but PnP refused to give it. My calls and the home warranty would go unanswered. I only finally heard something back when I told the owner that a BBB complaint would be filed. After that the owner deleted my case and information from their system and now I have to start over the process with a new vendor. PNP withheld information for over 3 weeks resulting in me having to sleep in below freezing conditions all because they didn’t have any legit diagnostic.

I had a nest system in my home that I was not a fan of. After contacting PNP, they were polite, responsive, and gave great recommendations on alternatives they could install. I went with their recommendation of a Honeywell thermostat, and the tech was out in a reasonable time. He was a nice guy, and the work was done quickly and effectively. The new system is much better than the old one, and at a reasonable cost.
