Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Every person I spoke with at Roto-Rooter was very responsive and helpful. When I called for a sewer line that was backing up, they sent one person to check what kind of clean up I might need, someone to clear the line, and, when he encountered a potential problem, a third person to check the line with a camera (all included in the price I paid to have the line cleared). He showed me the collapsed section of line and gave me a proposal to repair that section, as well as a capped cost for additional work if the line was collapsed beyond the point he could see as well. The prices were in line with what I expected to pay for that work, so we gave approval to proceed. I first called them on a Friday afternoon and by 10 am on Monday morning, the damaged section was replaced. The additional work was not needed. I could not have asked for a faster, more efficient response. All around a pleasure to work with.

Ben and Vinny were pleasant, prompt, and effective. They cleared my clogged drain and explained the problem. It was interesting seeing the roots inside my pipe via their camera. They also shared the long range solution since my cast iron pipes are over 50 yrs old so I can plan. Thank you!

I had Roto-Rooter come and clear my sewer line. I appreciated the fact that the plumber was able to show up swiftly and they let me know when he was going to be there. He showed me what he was doing and explained it.
The part that was an issue was the video follow up - I was not notified when the technician would be arriving, or even what day he would come - he just knocked on the door without checking if i was around. The whole time he was here was a sales pitch from cleaning (what at that point was a perfectly clean basement area) to replacing the sewer trap to descaling. He was very doom and gloom and tried to tell me that it was likely the trap was completely broken and we'd be experiencing another flood imminently (he relayed the story of another customer that had flooding within 5 flushes). When the price was conveyed to me, it included the augering and a follow up video inspection and that i would receive a file of the video inspection. When i asked for the file he said absolutely not. I went to take a video of the screen and he said that wasn't allowed and said i was just taking a video to share with another company, and that this was an expensive piece of equipment and the video inspection was complimentary not part of the service so why would they let me have the video. I certainly paid for the service which i was under the impression included both the augering and the follow up video.
