We had an issue with the refrigerant line in our furnace/ac system. They were able to get here a day earlier than expected and gave us a transparent quote. They ended up having to replace an extra part related to the blower motor (which was something I suspected because it's actually how we knew something was wrong with the unit, but didn't want to give them an excuse to upcharge me if I was wrong) and they just billed the difference for the parts. After the system was back up and running, I noticed the unit was dripping. They came back within the hour, unclogged the condensate drain, and as you'd hope (but wouldn't necessarily expect these days) didn't charge us another dime. 5/5 Would definitely recommend.

On January 11th my home temperature fell to 52 degrees and my furnace would not kick on.  I feared that my pipes would freeze.  I called three different HVAC services in Pittsburgh and the third was a charm.  Top Notch got my furnace up and running in less than an hour and did not kill me on the price.  Thank you Top Notch!

A live person actually picked-up the phone when I called! Bill Reilly was friendly and courteous, both over the phone and in-person.
He called 15-30 minutes before he got there...I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. Fixed my furnace for a lot less than I thought it would cost. Great experience.

Top Notch is fantastic. They are very reliable. Their customer service is outstanding! I had to have them out on Christmas Eve! I called and 20 minutes later they were there to fix my furnace. I would recommend Top Notch to anyone.

This was the first time I've ever had a boiler installed and Bill and his crew from Top Notch couldn't have made it any easier on me. They made sure that all of the costs were clear before they showed up. 6 hours later, I've got hot water again. They even showed me which pipes I should keep an eye on for the future to avoid leaks. I Will definitely be using these guys again for anything else that comes up.

I have used top notch for both air conditioner and furnace replacement and repairs. They are the best by far in pricing and professionalism. I have recommended them to several neighbors and friends. You won’t be disappointed. They are the best.

The owner was very responsive and arrived within 30min. He is an expert with Crown boilers and heating and plumbing systems in general. He had the parts on hand and fixed the issue with my boiler quickly. I intend to call him for my heating and cooling needs from now on.

My AC stopped working last week. Called Top Notch and they
diagnosed the issue over the phone. They thought that they knew what was wrong and they were correct.
I told them I would meet them right after I got off work and I got stuck in Pittsburgh 376 traffic and was 20 minutes late....
and they were there before me waiting and waited. Got the issue repaired in less
than 1 hr and the price was reasonable. Very pleased!

I highly recommend using Top Notch Heating & Air Conditioning. They do an excellent job and they are professional. Bill Reilly is always prompt and does a thorough job. I use them all the time to clean and inspect my furnace every fall.

We were hearing some strange noises coming from our furnace whenever it would kick on. Some loud banging and clanging. I made the mistake of not calling right away. A few weeks later, the furnace started shutting off shortly after coming on.

I first called a HVAC company that heavily advertises on TV and billboards. Their estimate scared me. I found Top Notch online and someone was at the house the next morning. He had an idea what the problem was just from my description alone and repaired it for a fraction of the other company's estimate.

Not only did he get our furnace back up and running, but he took the time to explain what went wrong and how some simple maintenance could've prevented it. What was important to us is he did this without making us feel like idiots - understanding we were first time homeowners. We will be using TopNotch for annual maintenance and anytime there's a problem from this point on.

A tenant's furnace was only briefly kicking on and then shutting off, so I called a place the prior homeowner had used. Didn't get an answer after a day despite voicemails left, so I searched the internet for someone else. A couple did not answer, but when I called Top Notch I got through. He quoted me at $125 for him to come out (weekend rate, whereas weekdays are $87) and said he'd be over shortly. He showed up within a half hour, I told him the problem and he opened up the furnace. Instantly he said "I know what the problem is". It was a problem with how tubing was installed, so he cut it, flicked it off and on, and the furnace began to run properly. I checked the tenant's apartment and it was working.

In addition, I mentioned the other tenant I have was complaining of a lack of air getting out, so he opened that up and it had the same problem. Fixed it, and I will inquire with the tenants if their heating has improved. No extra charge for looking at the second furnace, I paid him what he quoted and we were done within twenty minutes.

They know what they are doing and were honest. The next time I have a problem I will go straight to him. Pretty standard rates, he instantly came out and he did not try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Last month we lost our heat when it was about 15 degrees on an early Sunday morning. Called at 6a and they were there by 8a.

They quickly repaired our furnace and the rate was reasonable for an emergency call. Very good work with the furnace repair and were not overcharged in my estimation. Will use TopNotch again for a goodman new furnace, air conditioner in the future. They have earned my trust.

My neighbor, who is 83-years-old, was having issues with her furnace. I called one of the companies that advertise on TV and could smell the sales pitch from the technician that came out. He was literally trying to scare her into a new furnace. My husband reminded me that we used Top Notch for a similar problem and had just received a coupon for them, plus they give a discount to seniors. I really felt we should get a second opinion and I'm glad we did. Her furnace still has a few years left on it with maintenance. She hadn't changed her filter as often as she needed to and it was a relatively quick and affordable fix. There was no risk of a carbon monoxide leak or any of the things the other guy tried scaring her with. I hate to see services take advantage of the elderly and it's good to know Top Notch Heating doesn't conduct business that way.

Appointment window was set and service tech showed up at the beginning of the time frame. Very professional and knowledgeable. Had the system running again in less than 1 hour. The cost was very reasonable. I would recommend this company for any HVAC maintenance/service.

Top Notch replaced my the AC and Furnace at my house this weekend. The bid was lower than competitors and their installers were prompt, courteous and cleaned-up after themselves.  I'm excited for the cold weather to see how the Furnace works!!

Bill and crew are great to work with. On Monday, 9/10/18 my sewer backed up, and with 48 hours of solid rain my basement flooded. After pumping water out, my furnance shorted out and caught fire. Bill was there the next day. At 7:30 am the following Monday, Bill's crew was there, and by 11:30 am was finished, and all cleaned up from the installation of a brand new furnace and hot water tank. In addition, Bill worked with me and the insurance co. A+ for service, affordable pricing, and quality work. Thanks, Bill!

Would go back. We needed some HVAC work done about a month ago. Top Notch lived up to its name, especially compared another company I used last year. They were quick, fair, courteous and efficient. I plan on calling them in to fix my AC next when it gets hot.

Our cooling system would run all the time and do a bad cooling my home. We called TopNotch Heating and Air-conditioning the owner Bill Reilly came out the next day. My system was pretty old and Bill saying we need to replace the equipment --so we did. And we love it my home never cooled as fast as it does and my electric bill came down almost 35%.
They did a great job for us at Topnotch and the price was great too.

Top Notch just installed a new Air Conditioner for me. The price was very competitive,
we research the Goodman model which had very good feedback. The job was done quickly with minimum disruption to our lives. Looking forward to a hot summer to enjoy this new ac.
