Anthony was absolutely amazing to work with, from start to finish. My second floor hallway had started to drop and the ceiling in my living room needed to be opened up to secure the joists. He offered a clear explanation of the problem, the most reasonable price (by far!) of three estimates, and the quickest turnaround for the job. He was both professional and warm, accommodating and flexible. He did the work incredibly quickly, even around a snowstorm, and the ceiling was patched up and painted perfectly, like nothing had ever happened. Anthony was even willing to answer questions about other house concerns I had, with no financial gain. He was genuinely helpful, kind, and did excellent work. Highly, highly recommend.

All projects great or small, inside or out — Joe is my go-to contractor. He’s handled everything from installation if a ceiling fan, new lights, and doors to painting my stucco and replacing siding for me. He and his crew handle the work professionally and treated my property with respect.

Anthony did an awesome job with pulling up some floors and helping me seal up some joists. The areas where he worked were unbelievably clean for the work performed, I was so pleased! I tried to do some of my own work and spent so much time cleaning up my own mess, it made me realize the quality that Antony provides. I'll definitely be using him for some upcoming renovations. I find him positive, realistic, and very effective/efficient. He was never trying to dupe me into other jobs or do any silly pricing madness like other contractors. I highly recommend his services!

I needed a porch roof that entailed a complete demolition first, due to safety. I also needed the new roof to be the same as the old one because I live on a historical block. It was late fall and Anthony gave me a quote after we discussed the details of the job. Once we agreed on everything the demo was done immediately and the new structure was being erected. I was kept updated as the job progressed and told what to expect with regard to materials, construction and time for each part of the job to be completed. Any changes due to unexpected findings were communicated as well. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend.

Anthony and his team were wonderful to work with. We used Anthony to finish our basement this past May. We had done some DIY work already but needed professionals to finish it off and install a bathroom. Anthony was punctual, honest, and delivered on his word. He committed to a timeline and stuck to it. When it’s so hard to find honest contractors who finish the job well, Anthony and his team rose to the challenge! Not only did they finish the job, he even came to clean and mop any dust that may have been left behind. Our small vanity mirror arrived two weeks after the project was finished and Anthony ensured someone came out to hang it up - even though his work was done! We will definitely use Anthony and his team again and have already recommended him to many of our friends and neighbors.

Anthony and his team completed a full remodel of our kitchen this past spring. The project was extensive- removing partition walls, adding/moving duct work, installing an exterior sliding door, all new cabinetry and lighting etc. The final product is absolutely beautiful and adds so much value to our cozy Roxborough home. We recently hired Anthony and the AP Zajko Construction team for a custom media wall buildout, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

The entire project was completed in less than four days, and the craftsmanship was outstanding. Anthony added a new circuit to our breaker, installed an outlet behind the TV, handled all electrical work, framed out the wall for added depth, and professionally mounted our TV, mantle, and fireplace. Everything was done efficiently, cleanly, and with great attention to detail.

I hired Vargas construction yesterday and I'm 100% pleased with them this far. They are both very friendly and professional men that take pride in their work. They work quickly and efficiently producing quality work. I can't wait to update this with pictures to show finished product.

Martin Bean and Associates have been taking care of our house, and us, since we bought it seven years ago. They have done big jobs (taking out walls and building a new staircase; adding an artist's studio to the rear of the second story) and small (replacing a hot water heater, replacing the electrical box for one that will take much higher voltage), all excellently. We've come to trust and respect this firm enormously.
They are not the cheapest, but they are surely among the best!

The only downside is that they are successful and have plenty of work: sometimes it's hard to get on their schedule.
