I recently hired Philadelphia Gas & Electric for a range of work at my home, including central air repair, chimney flue replacement, and the installation of a gas shut-off valve for my dryer. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience from start to finish.

Mike, the owner, was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Scott and Luke handled the AC and gas work — they were knowledgeable, efficient, and respectful of my home. While shutting off the gas to work on the chimney, they noticed my dryer didn’t have a dedicated gas shut-off valve, which is not up to code. They explained the issue clearly and installed the valve the same day, ensuring everything was safe and compliant.

They also fixed an issue with the central air condenser, and the system is now working much more efficiently. For the chimney flue replacement, they coordinated directly with Kada Chimney to ensure everything was installed correctly and met safety standards. That kind of collaboration made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

The entire team was thorough, courteous, and left the workspace clean. I highly recommend Philadelphia Gas & Electric for anyone needing HVAC, gas, or chimney-related services — they do excellent work and truly care about getting the job done right.

Family owned, honest, reliable and *extremely* knowledgeable. They have been keeping our heater and A/C running in tip top condition since we moved into our home 3 years ago, and they serviced our residence with the previous owner as well (which is great because they know our home really well and have been able to answer some questions for us that aren't even HVAC related😄). The team at Philadelphia Gas & electric is first rate, from Mindy and Mike on down. The communication to me as a customer is always timely.

Boiler maintenance for Hydronic baseboard heating. Luke and Scott also replaced an air vent valve. All part of yearly maintenance agreement. The work didn’t take long.

Mike and Scott are professional in every sense of the word.

Communication by text both individually and automated was top notch.

From diagnosing the problem to sourcing the needed part and scheduling the appointment for repair all went smoothly.

The guys who came out were great. They tested the system and realised the issue did not need a replacement part and got me up and running saving me the cost of the part and additional labour and they took the time out to explain the different parts of the boiler to me and tests I can do myself to ensure the different parts are operational

From Mike the owner to the other techs Scott and Luke, it’s always a pleasure to work with them. They’re very well knowledgeable, walk you through the process and very quick to respond and get you on their schedule. I’m sure they have consistent return customers, like myself, due to their excellent work and attitudes.

Our heater wasn’t working so we called for a service appt. This company installed our HVAC unit in 2018 and had been out in 2023 for a repair. In a fortunate for us coincidence, our contractor was at our home before the service person arrived and diagnosed the problem as a broken motor. When the service person arrived, they went to check the system and said we needed a new motor and control panel, that one of the parts could take 8-10 business days to arrive but that they could put in an entirely new system for $7000 the next day. Our contractor was still in our house and questioned why we needed a new control panel because everything but the motor had been working when he checked it. He then found that a pin was missing from the control board. According to our contractor, he could not have tested the system prior to the HVAC technician’s arrival if the pin were missing. We confirmed this with a family member who owns an HVAC business in another state. 1 week before Christmas, no heat, parts that will take weeks to be delivered…We had the parts shipped by our family member and our contractor made the repair. Heat working in less than 48 hours. Highly suspicious but no proof. Watch out!

Our heater went on the first truly cold Saturday this winter. We found Global Services through a google search and I called them around 8:30 in the morning and they were at my house by 11:30. The service call was cheap enough, but it turned out we had to replace our entire 40 year old furnace. Mike, our technician, gave us a detailed explanation of what was causing the heater to make horrifying banging sounds, and then gave us a contract to install a new heating unit.

Mike was courteous and friendly, as were the women who answered the phone at the office. They were patient while we got our money in order and made the payment. The technicians that installed the new unit were also great and they left the work area spotless.

Global was probably a little pricier than other places in the neighborhood and they told us as much, but we trusted them and thought they were incredibly professional right off the bat. I really really hope we don't have any more big ticket repairs, but we would call Global again in a heartbeat.

Since my heater was acting up when service man, Jesse, came to my home, he was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He arrived on time, identified himself as soon as he arrived and was very pleasant. I would recommend Global Services again.

We had such a great experience 2 years ago with our heater replacement that when our AC unit decided to stop working I knew exactly who to call. Everyone who we dealt with was fantastic, this time Mike was out and he went above and beyond! Thanks, Global!!

I called Global serviced because I heard a strange noise coming from my basement. I went to investigate and couldn't find any issues. My heat then stopped working at 3am on new years eve. The technician came out and after inspection, he informed me that my heater was going to need to be replaced. He explained all of my options and we set up an install. After a very cold few days, the new heater was installed and all was right in my house once again. Everyone I dealt with was very nice. I would definitely recommend Global to anyone who wants great service.
