Marty and the Shechtman team were a pleasure. They removed a hideous Blue Holly tree and replaced it with a beautiful Snow Fountain weeping cherry tree. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

They did two days worth of pruning, trimming and removal of some dead trees. They were very efficient and got a lot done. We were very satisfied.

I find that the professionalism of this company is outstanding. Is very odd to find a company that actually cares. And the gentleman that work at this facility care a lot. I think the owner is a great person in the sense that cares about his people

These guys have been our go-to people for serious yard and tree care for years now. They are not the people to call if you just need grunt work done, but if you want the expertise of an arborist to help save a tree, improve the health of plantings on your property or suggest the right plant for a space, they are the best! They expertly cabled up a monstrous birch tree close to our house, they thoughtfully have pruned back (versus just hacking away at) prized shrubs and trees for us and planted native trees they've suggested for us that are now thriving and adding value in our yard. I am picky - I am a gardener who loves plants that bring wildlife, have value for pollinators and add low-maintenance beauty to our yard. I don't trust just anyone with my prized plants - if I can't do a job myself, this is who I call. OH - and we also get our firewood from them every year. Always courteous, professional and knowledgeable.

Came out to assess and NEVER responded with an estimate. This was over one month ago. Even if you did not want to do the job professional courtesy of denial could have been provided.

Shechtman Tree Care is exceptional. We worked with them to remove a large tree in our small, residential area. While considering what to do, we were very touched that keeping the tree was emphasized by Shechtman. We, also, love trees and it was a very tough decision for our family. Ultimately, we decided to remove the tree for safety considerations. Shechtman arrived on time for our very complex project. They completed the work with expert precision, thoughtfulness, care for the tree, and in a very organized and professional manner. All work areas were left clean. The entire team at Shechtman are very good people who are knowledgeable, kind, and very pleasant to work with. We highly recommend Shechtman. We are grateful for their thoughtfulness, care, and very high-quality work.

No regard for people at all. They saw the other end of the road was blocked by aqua doing work and proceeded to set up a crane blocking in 20 plus houses without even a knock or heads up aqua had been there for almost a month working so they had to know about it. Zero common courtesy. They were also recklessly dropping branches right by neighbors cars still again without going around trying to ask people to move them

We did not have any issue with the work itself which was the grinding down of two old stumps that were already ground level and rotting. It was the process of procuring the estimate that was perplexing. After a visit by their representative, the company emailed us an estimate. However, it was blank - no monetary figure. I wrote back asking why. They said that job's actual costs vary. I responded 'Well, help me out here. Give me a range at least for budgeting purposes." They replied probably around $200-$300. Ultimately, after I left them a message to consent to the work, a team of two people showed up unannounced one morning (good thing I was home), did the work and left. I ended up getting billed $510, which seemed exorbitant considering what was quoted and the actual work which took about an hour. I complained about it and they said "Well, we were transparent about costs fluctuating. Said job took 30-40 minutes longer than expected." And I was like "Really? By that much?" In my head, I'm thinking - You've done this kind thing a thousand times, figured out the time, costs of equipment usage, travel, etc. How could you not know how much it would cost at least within reason to be able to provide a decent guesstimate? It's the principle of it. Maybe they lowballed it to get the job and where we are. Anyway, it's a little too loosey-goosey of a business practice if you ask me for me to recommend them.

I highly recommend Shechtman Tree Care. They took down an Ash tree, ground the stump, and trimmed up the other trees on my property. They were extremely professional and thorough. Their quote was fair and reasonable compared to other quotes I received for the same job. Will definitely use them in the future!

There are lots of trees of heaven around my yard and we called Schechtman to inquire about treating. Unfortunately, even though they come into my yard, they are outside of the property line and can’t be treated. The trees are part of an abandoned lot. But, the service I got from the company was stellar! Within minutes of emailing, I got a response with the name of the arborist who would come out. He called within a couple of hours and set up an appointment for the next day. Martin was extremely knowledgeable and personable, even if we couldn’t do anything about the trees. I would absolutely use them in a heartbeat if I could! Highly recommend!

Martin and the Shechtman team did a great job on my property last Fall. They removed two small trees and pruned several more.
Martin provided the quote. He was very knowledgeable about the trees on my property, he provided a fair price, and the team was nice and efficient. He even came back a week later to trim a stump down further at my request. Couldn't ask for better service.

We recently used Shechman Tree Service and we would give them 10 Stars if we could.
They came quickly to see what we needed done, promptly sent us a quote which we accepted. We were scheduled in less than two weeks. The crew was friendly and professional. They moved our planters out of the way. Removed two trees and did not damage even a leave on any surrounding plants or bushes. Clean up was fast and perfect. Our neighbor is now the fourth one in the neighborhood to use Sheckman. They are the best.

A team from Shechtman Tree Care came to my house today to clean up a very large branch which had come down in a wind storm the previous week. They did a great job and cleaned up really well. They were friendly, polite and knew what they were doing. The price was very reasonable as well. I'll be using them again in the future.

Update 10/19/23 - I had Shechtman Tree Care grind two large stumps for me and they did an excellent job. They were ground down to ground level and all of the chippings removed and the area is ready for planting grass. The first day they brought a machine that had caterpillar treads but they saw that it would damage my lawn so they came back the next day with a machine that had rubber tires on it. They were very professional and courteous and did a great job at a reasonable price. These are my go to people for tree/lawn work.

Really happy to know who to call that isn't just "some guys with chainsaws" but real arborists who care about the trees. It felt good to watch as they really evaluated the tree and communicated with each other.

Was quoted 900.00 for a small garden project. They didn’t do what was quoted. I called and complained. They were supposed to return but never did.
Paid another company 265.00 for the same project and was satisfied.
