Let's start with the basics: Nick actually responded to my voice mail. Then he actually showed up when he said he would. Finally, he did the job exactly the way I asked him to. Those may all seem pretty mundane, but when you're looking for a landscaper in the Pittsburgh area, every one of these "basic" features is somewhat exceptional. I have to add that Nick did the job when I wasn't able to be home and when I saw it, there wasn't anything I wanted changed. It was a beautiful job. Again, sounds basic, but, from my experience, it really isn't. This is a professional organization that I highly recommend. I'll be using him again, for sure.

I inquired online about an estimate for a paver patio. Nick contacted me and came out to the house the next day. He explained the project in detail, and patiently answered all my questions.

He took time to discuss patio design and materials.

A detailed proposal/estimate was sent to me within 24 hours. Nick assisted in submitting the proposal to the HOA. He was responsive to all my texts/calls in a timely manner throughout the build process.

During the build Nick was frequently onsite. The lead project manager (Jose) is a great craftsman! I have much appreciation for the crew’s hard work and attention to detail. The patio is beautiful!

Had ponding along my house. Nick came by to take a look and had a proposal written same day. His team was in and out and redirected the water with the install of a drainage system. Any damage to my yard from the machines was reseeded and is growing back nicely. Great guy. Will use again.

I was a client of Nick and his team this fall, and you would be hard-pressed to find a more involved and trustworthy owner. Nick communicates very well, his proposals are clear and detailed, and he will truly do his best to meet the needs of his clients. He really listens well and works hard to deliver. He even went above and beyond on a couple of my requests, offering solutions beyond what I had asked. I wish Nick and his crew the best!

I posted a couple of years ago that Nick was great to work with even though I didn't move forward with the project. I gave him 5 stars. Unfortunately, I need to revise my review after recently "completing" the project. To be fair, there are no real issues with the quality of work. I am, however, extremely disappointed with the service after I wrote the last check. His team caused an issue that he wanted me to split the cost for. He attempted to fix the issue himself but couldn't. I haven't heard from him since. Nick was super responsive before he booked my job, not so much after. Also a few promises made (i.e. septic cover) but not delivered on. Two stars because work quality was good.

Nick and his team did an incredible job installing our paver patio. The team was professional and timely throughout the whole process. Nick was very transparent in his pricing and design, and also made a point to check-in with me as the project progressed, happy to answer any and all of my questions from start to finish.

I contacted Nick over the winter to do a landscape design for a bed along our driveway. Nick listened to our wants and needs and adjusted the plan accordingly. He was also very responsive during both the design and planting process. He worked diligently to make sure we were happy with the plantings and completed the project in the promised timeframe. The finished product is something we are truly looking forward to enjoying in the years to come. In addition, I had contacted numerous landscapers throughout the Pittsburgh area to assist us in replacing a pump in our wall fountain. The fountain itself is almost 800 pounds. No one, even landscape companies that stated that they did fountain maintenance, would agree to even come and take a look at it. Not only did Nick agree to help us, he purchased a new pump and his team very carefully took the fountain apart, replaced the pump, reassembled the fountain, ensured that the seal was not leaking, and filled the fountain to check that the pump was working properly. His team was very cautious to ensure that neither the pump nor our patio were damaged in the process. When he says they will do a job, take him at his word. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

We could not be more pleased with the beautiful patio and water feature that Nick and his team designed and installed. At all times Nick and his team were professional, courteous, and extremely responsive, taking time to explain the little details about product and options. We had obtained a couple of quotes from other contractors, however what really impressed my wife and me was the amount of personal attention that Nick provided spending hours on numerous occasions well after business hours to discuss design with us. Nick’s authentic customer care and vested interest in what we wanted was made clear when he remembered our discussions, proposed thoughtful and researched responses, made himself accessible and personally followed up with us through every step of the process. Nick expertly evaluated the design from an engineering perspective to promote a low maintenance and long-term sustainable solution which was important to us. Nick was personally present on-site most days during the installation unlike other experiences we have had with other contractors where the person making the commitments to us up front was not seen again until it was time to collect the final payment. I also must mention Jose, William and Michael who are part of Nick’s team. The entire team dedicated themselves to doing the project right and the respect they showed for our home both during and at the end of the project was something that caught our attention. Jose's aesthetic design instincts made the space into something special. Nick and his team made it a priority to exceed our expectations and they delivered a perfect outdoor space for us that was well worth the investment. We would do business with Nick and his trustworthy team again.

Nick and his crew were amazing. They did such a beautiful job. They were very respectful. We’re on the job as long as weather permitted. I would highly recommend them. We had a spring in the far part of our yard. He installed a drain system that took acre of out no more wet lawn. He landscaped our front entrance and it looks amazing along with edging our mulch beds. Thanks to Nick and his Crew

Nick and the crew at Verardi Landscapes did an amazing job! Every single person is a true professional. They take pride in their work, are very meticulous, and incredibly thorough. Nick was very responsive throughout the whole process, answered our questions, and built our hardscaping project to our exact specifications. We would absolutely hire him and his company again. Cannot recommend them enough.

My daughter and son-in-law were able to connect me to Nick Verardi Landscapes for a major update to my retaining walls and landscaping. Nick and his crew worked tirelessly on my project which was wildly beyond my expectations. In less than 2 weeks my outdoors was transformed to a thing of beauty. I would never hesitate to recommend Nick Verardi Landscapes for a dream outcome!

Nick and his crew were so amazing to work with and really transformed our outdoor space. I asked for an outdoor oasis with pollinator friendly plants but other than that I gave him artistic freedom to do what he wanted and I'm so glad I did!
Even further, after pulling out our rotting wooden patio the crew discovered the gutter/drains were leaking which caused previous flooding to the basement. Instead of covering it up with a new pavers they removed 8 feet of wet clay, replaced and sealed the drains, and then put other measures to ensure the patio would last forever and prevented future expensive foundations issues.
If you want a contractor who actually knows what they are doing and has your best interest in mind instead of just completing a job and leaving, Nick is your guy! Well worth the money and we love our new backyard!
