I requested a cleaning quote for a building in Pittsburgh. One man came for walkthrough, but said he was waiting on the franchise owner. This man came a half hour late, did not properly introduce himself, then we did the walkthrough. He complained about everything I suggested. I wanted walls, ceilings and vents of a large room cleaned (that were very smoke stained) plus 3 bathrooms cleaned. He made me feel as if me asking for a quote for this cleaning service was a burden. He even tried to talk me out of some of the things I wanted. Then at the end he asked me how many ladders I owned(I assume for him to use)
I did receive a quote in a timely manner from the co-worker. But they would not quote me for the ceilings and the bathrooms were not in the quote
I responded I would not be using the services as I needed those specific services and that the franchise owner seemed annoyed and as if he did not want the job. This was a waste of all of our time.To which the franchise owner replied that I was rude for stating what happened and very unprofessional.
If you offer a service, you should at least act as if you want/need/ are capable of the work. And if you act so unprofessionally, do not get upset when someone tells you so. -
