Called in to remove a tree trunk that had fallen on the yard. They arrived in a timely fashion and did the work quickly, but during the removal they took out a 10 year old Rhododendron that was near the tree in question but NOT AT ALL in the way. (And I've got photos and videos to prove it). That Rhododendron had been planted by my Mom and Dad, and my Dad had passed away the week before. My mother was *devastated* at it's loss.

After they finished, called them several times requesting some kind of explanation - never asked for anything else. All I got was, "We'll call you back" - which never happened.

Meanwhile our neighbor, who opted to have the entire tree removed that had dropped a branch, was left with a 6' high tree trunk by their house, still fully in the ground. They didn't remove the tree, they just beheaded it. Now our neighbor still has to deal with removing the rest of the tree.

They cut my gas line grinding my neighbors stump. Wouldn't even come to look at . Filed suit at the magistrates. Won judgment , they wont pay or even return my calls. I highly doubt they have insurance. I'm out $1100.00 dollars. DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!

JR's Lawn and Tree service drove into our yard with their truck and trailer on a wet day putting deep ruts in it and tearing up the grass. They had promised they would fix it and never showed up when they said they would. Also, while they were here, their trailer got away from them on the hill and slid down the street which could've harmed someone. Very amateur and unprofessional.

I got an estimate 3 weeks ago and was promised someone would come-no date or time,mind you,but ok,it wasn't a big job. Nobody ever came,even after a follow-up call and another promise to come,again with no time or day mentioned. There are plenty of other services in town,we will not bother with this one again.

I used this service in May 2020. My suggestion is that you get a written quote for the work. Make sure that all equipment is on site if you are requesting stump removal and pay after the entire job is complete.

Had 2 pine trees removed. When given the estimate they did not say they would be bringing equipment that would tear up the yard to remove the trees. The day they where removing the trees the broke a large flower pot that was on the hill. They tree cutters never came and told my wife. We did not notice until they left. We also had a small 2 high wall around the flower bed. We have video showing the guys just drop the last tree on top of the wall breaking two stones . Between the loss of the flower pot, wall blocks replaced and the yard damage and the wall we are out at least 150 dollars. I have called and spoke to.Patty 6 times and all I get is she will try to get the Forman to look at the damage. Of course 6 call and overy 3 weeks later and no show and no call. I will never recommend the company. We will be telling all the people at our church, my fire hall and will be also posting on facebook how poor the customer service for this company. ADVISE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU LOOK YOUR PROPERTY OVER COMPLETELY. You will never get any follow up and holding thier money will be the only way they will respond to your concerns or damage.

A worker came out quickly after the return call from the owner. The worker cut up a tree that had fallen down after some storms and tossed it into the woods on my property, no issues there. He also performed a "spring clean-up" by trimming some bushes and small trees, this is where the issues began. He barely trimmed the bushes and what he did trim made a mess in my planter bed that he did not clean up.

I've called the office # and have left 2 messages. I called the worker's phone # on Friday (5-31-19) and he said that he'd be by on Saturday (6-1-19) to trim the bushes and trees up further but he's been a no-show so far and my calls now go directly to his voicemail.

I called the office # twice today (6-3-19) and the first time it just rang with no answer or machine picking up. The second try a little later was met with the receiver being picked up and then immediately hung up.

I do NOT recommend this company and I'll post more if they ever make the situation right.

Your worker has NOT come back to my house and the job was only remedied by myself as I’m the one who had to fix all that was not done properly (trim the bushes and trees and pull the weeds and dead plants) and also clean up your workers mess (tree & bush clippings) that he left in my planter areas.

For your misleading response I’ve lowered my Rating from 2 stars down to just 1 star.

We found an ad for JR’s in a Valpak mailing. JR agreed to remove2 tress and grind 2 stumps. We asked for a written quote and he stated he doesn’t
do that. His crew removed the 2 trees but did not grind the stumps. They indicated they would return the next day and grind the stumps. They asked for payment minus $150 for not grinding the stumps. His worker communicated to us that they would return within the week. They have never returned to grind the stumps and we have made numerous calls to them and the stumps have still not been removed.Our check was cashed on 9/21. We chose his company because he said he would remove the trees and grind the stumps. JR has not fulfilled the terms of our agreement.Be careful when using his service.
