Allegheny Plumbing replaced a saddle on a sewer main for a house that I was purchasing. The work was done during the end of winter/ early spring. Can not speak for the quality of work done but can speak on the service of trying to get property restored to the original condition. Multiple deep gouges in asphalt driveway, left in garage a muddy mess. Was told that the landscaping (multiple deep ruts from machine tracks, clay piles throughout lawn, and piles of gravel stone) would have been fixed at end of march with straw, seeded, and topsoil as needed. Contacted Aaron multiple times to get the company to fix to come out and fix this. Multiple excuses of being busy, the company came out to put asphalt in the driveway for the patch and was " coming out later" to fix the landscaping. Multiple messages to Aaron of well come this week, and week after week with no show, turned into months of un answered messages and this company leaving me on the hook to fix there damages that they would assure they would correct.

Fast efficient and reasonably priced.

Poor communication/unresponsive. He would schedule a time, then push the time. Showed up 2 hours after the initial appointment, said that he'd put me on the schedule for a week later but would confirm the following day. I repeatedly messaged him to confirm and the day before he was supposedly going to get me on the schedule, he canceled. If you want a runaround, by all means work with him. Unfortunately, I don't have time to sit around and wait for someone who doesn't value other people's time.
Would not recommend.

We had to have a dye test done. Which I personally think is a stupid thing you have to do to sell your home.
Alan called to see if he could come by early.
He was very friendly and informative.

We have used Trout Plumbing for years for both big and small jobs. Most recently they installed a french drain along the front and side of our house. Alan was honest and answered all of our concerns prior to completing. Since the drain was installed we have not had any water issues. If you are looking for quality work at an affordable price Trout Plumbing should be the only call you make!

Alan Trout is very knowledgeable and a honest plumber. He is very respectful of your property and his work is very high quality and detailed. I would not use any other plumber in the future except for trout plumbing because the job is done correct and at a very fair price compared to other companies. Best plumber that you'll find in the South hills area. Alan is such a great guy and explains in detail everything that needs done. I've been in a few different plumbing emergencies and his work truly speaks for itself!

I honestly wouldn't recommend this plumber. He broke the part and came back 2 weeks later saying he couldn't find the part he was looking for. We still paid for the service. Now the handle is just hanging there with the nail sticking out. That handle controls the temperature and I sometimes have to unscrew it middle of shower to get right temperature water.

Alan always takes the time to truly figure out the extent of my plumbing issues using state of the art diagnostic tools, going above and beyond to isolate the issue and make a sound recommendation for pragmatic repairs. He explains the problem and potential solutions in a way that is very understandable and reasonable. Great option for a plumber in the south hills.
