John came twice to look at the property as we had decided to expand the scope of the work. He removed about 24 trees and planted 16 in 2 days. Extremely efficient. As I had to be out of town, he checked on the new plantings a couple of times to make sure the new trees were getting the right amount of water. I appreciated him going the extra mile.

Once again, the excellent crew at Cambium Tree Works did a fantastic job. I had a very tall but sick Frasier Fir which needed to come down and it was in a very tricky spot. Jason and Ronny brought it down expertly , with No damage to my neighbors tree, which was right next to it. They also cleaned up the site so no debris was left.

John and crew did a good job for a reasonable price.

John and his crew were on time and got right to work. They continually cleaned the roadway and the yard as they went along.
I was impressed with the chemistry and the trust they had with one another.
I will definitely be calling them again.

Total professionals! They have now dropped four of my trees and cut up a huge fallen tree for me. Excellent service, they cleaned up after themselves too.

Very pleased with the work this team did to remove some mature limbs on three different trees. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and the clean up was impressive!

Top rate! I had a very large ash tree that needed removal. I called all the local tree companies, several I had used before. Only John called me back. He took on a removal I suspect other companies would have passed on. Quick, friendly and professional. He did not charge enough.

Fair warning.....do not use Cambium tree services.
They cut down a large maple tree for me but their stump grinder guy did not cut the stump down deep enough for me to grow grass there
I had several tree guys confirm this as well as the landscaper who was going to drop off topsoil but decided he needs the stump ground down more before he brings the topsoil.
I am waiting on my paralegal friend to give me advice.
I did some research myself and the stump should be at least 6 inches below the surface and it was about 2 inches above and my friend used a chainsaw to grind it but almost ruined his saw after being able to cut about 4 inches off making it about 2 inches below now.
Still not deep enough to grow grass.
Cambium will not make it right by sending back the stump grinder.
The Landscaper is totally on my side and wants to do his job the right way.
But the owner who does this on weekends making it a part time tree company will not make it right.
The landscaper called a few of his tree buddies that grind stumps and they all said it needs to be at least 6 inches or more under the surface for grass to come in or there will be a bare spot where the stump was. There is also a root that is about 4 feet or so long branching out of the stump and who knows if there are more roots branching off of it.
I will need to dig in more to see how many more roots were missed.
I even told the owner this is on the stump grinder he used but he still will not contact him to come back and finish the job the right way.

Update:
I finally contacted the stump guy myself and he said he will come out and make it right.
So who really looks like the fool now?
Remember this when hiring this company.

We needed to have some work done quickly, to remove a large amount of brush and downed trees, both new and old in various stages of decay, before we were unable to access the area on our property for an extended period. I was referred to John at Cambium and he came that day to assess the job and he fit us into his schedule almost immediately. This was an enormous help to us.
John was prompt, his communication proactive, letting us know what he would be doing and just when he would arrive. He and Nate did excellent work at a reasonable price. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and we would definitely hire Cambium again.

John and his crew at Cambium Tree Works are the best! They worked quickly and safely while removing numerous saplings and two large trees located near a shed and house. They climbed the large trees, roped off the limbs and trunks and got them down without injury or damage to the structures, lawn and irrigation system; and clean up of the tree debris was thorough and complete. John provides 5 star service at a reasonable price!

They removed a very large, dead oak tree from a very crowded spot in my yard. They were able to cut it in sections and place it right where they wanted without touching my nearby garden, flowers, furniture, etc .. and zero divets in my yard.
All the guys were professional, easy to talk to, and didn't mind us watching and asking questions.
I have had 20+ trees cut down over the years, and this was by far the best experience I have had.

John was very friendly and gave the best price I could find in removing a few trees. John fit me in right right away and they did a great job!

I have used John and Cambium for over 8 years....just exceptional. This last job was a HUGE job....5 trees over 50 ft tall with lots of structures in the way. IT WAS FLAWLESS. The team was so polite, my 9 year old sat and watched for hours, and they were very kind to her. I would not use anyone else, reasonable prices with 5 star service!

The most recent time they came, they took down trees that were quite close to the house and they took them down with precise calculation and grace. Simply amazing to watch! Cambium is top notch. They gave us a great price, showed up and did just what they said they would do. They took down trees safely, removed the stumps and cleared all the brush. They left the yard clean and ready to plant new trees.
They have a great team and we look forward to working with them in the future.

I highly recommend John for tree removal. His price to do the work was less than other estimates that we had gotten. He was always polite and attentive during the entire process. He and his crew were on time and never stopped working the during the entire job. They hustled the entire time. His crew was also respectful and courteous.
The work included three large oaks and two lines of trees on two of the property lines. Those lines of trees included large evergreens and he was very respectful of our neighbor’s properties.
It was a 5 star job and experience.
We added some additional work while he was here and gave us a fair price for that as well.
We did not have him worry about keeping the yard in tact because we are going to tear it up soon with an addition to our house.

I cannot recommend Cambium tree enough! Same day estimate, very easy to communicate with through text, crew was punctual and got the job DONE! They efficiently took down 3 large trees on my property within a days work and left my property cleaned up like they weren’t even there! Will use them again for any future landscaping projects!
