I used Ocean State Mechanical to install ductwork and a heat pump for our house. This was in May 2020, it was a challenging project retrofitting an old house, but they did it. Now almost two years later, I have a lot of positive things to say about them. They did a great job; they have knowledgeable technicians, and they are easy to work with. They are a smallish company, so you get the same crew every time. I will definitely use them again when my other A/C system needs repair or replacement.

So happy that I called them, they were a referral from a neighbor thrilled with the install of a full central air system just days ago... As a bonus they have an incredible superhero with a fabulous mind for painlessly resolving issues, she instantly saw and corrected the errors In my system. I had Navada come to my home to clean my furnace and check on my leaking Central air system. I had someone else quote me and they said I needed an entirely new unit. He was absolutely amazing!!!! He walked me through the entire process and explained everything that was wrong and what he was going to do to fix it for me, but also letting me know the unit is very old and will at some point soon need to be replaced. He could have told me he would need to come back to fix the AC unit or it needed to be replaced seeing that he was out just to quote but he didn’t. He stayed and made sure my unit was fixed so that we would be up and running that day. We have a heat wave coming next week and temps are already pretty warm.l! Pricing was definitely fair. I would recommend this company to anyone and I honestly don’t think I will ever use anyone else for my AC and furnace needs. Great company and honest. Ocean state rocks!!!! Great prices. This place needs to advertise on the TV. All these other places want $300 just to walk in your door. My furnace went down a few years back. I called around. Was blown off 3 times by 1 guy. 2nd place said wait 4 days. I have no heat in the middle of winter. Ocean state came asap. And "Will" came back on Saturday to put new computer board for furance. I will never forget ocean state was there for me in my darkest hour.

Removed my current ductwork and completely installed a better , more efficient air flow system. Took 1 day, tested all vents , coils , thermostat and outside unit before they left. They even suggested, NOT to install an additional air vent and told me the reasons.
The management team, Bill, Allison and Jimmy are great people as well as professional and technical. The field staff are all accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable. I have met many of them in the years I have used Ocean State....Will, Russell, Nevada and the 2 Greg's.
Highly recommend.

Steve came out to perform maintenance.on our central air unit. Very meticulous about every detail. I highly recommend his services!

Steve was fantastic to work with on installing a new heating boiler in my house. He’s very precise in his approach and kept the working space clean, which my wife really appreciated. Steve was very communicative throughout the whole process and we appreciated his organization. I highly recommend Steve for this type of house work!

SDS was an awesome experience. Steve worked with me on updating the entire HVAC of my 200+ year old home, while coming up with creative solutions to preserve the aesthetic. Install was planned and seamless. Steve even helped with getting us a rebate through RIEnergy. Everyone I worked with there has been friendly, professional and helpful. I had a small service issue caused by another contractor a few months later and they came out and fixed the problem right away.

After multiple failed attempts by the original installer to repair my son’s Mitsubishi mini split, and with my
son ready to give up, I reached out to SDS to see if Steve would take a look at it.
We scheduled service. Steve came out and in no time identified the problem. Pinhole leaks in the line set due to what is apparently an issue with a discontinued line insulation that created corrosion.
Steve replaced the lines, recharged the system and it is back to running perfectly. We would highly recommend. Thank you Steve!

We called Steve when we had an issue with our boiler, and he found the part we needed right away. He came by promptly and fixed the problem with ease. We contacted SDS approximately 5 days ago for assistance with our new self installed heat pump. They got back to us within 24 hour with a date and time for today between 9:00 and 10:00 am and arrived on time, as promised. Steve quickly was able to identify the problem. He had everything needed, on his truck, to fix that problem, he also called the manufacturer to confirm his thoughts on the correct circuit breaker. The bill for his excellent work was significantly below what we budgeted for the job.

Steve was personable, kind, and professional. I would highly recommend this company.

The owner/operator Brian is an absolute pleasure to work with. He takes pride in his work, communicates clearly and quickly, is professional, and can service a wide range of equipment. He has repaired/serviced oil furnaces, natural gas combo units, and central air conditioners for me in the past, with ease. Highly recommended!

Charlie is reluctant to call people back even on a servicing issue on a system that he installed himself. I've needed his help a couple of times in the past few months and he has not been there for us, declining to offer assistance. If I did business the way he does I wouldn't have many customers left. Take your business elsewhere.
