Had an amazing experience with both customer service and the design dept. Jeff an laurel i were very helpful. Our sons bathroom was a total success due to General Kitchen help

They are by far the RUDEST people I’ve ever dealt with in my life!!! Apparently Jess, the owner, got frustrated because I asked too many questions, told my contractor that I was 'difficult' and literally threw his hands up in the air stating 'I'm done here' and WALKED AWAY FROM ME?!! Who behaves that way in a business?? They couldn't PAY ME to have anything to do with them ever again?! There must be other businesses that appreciate customers?!!

Found this company offered very poor service. Showroom is highly cluttered, and representative was pushy, calling me several times to see if I had made any decisions. They charge to come to your home to measure and do the design work. This fee then comes off the price of the cabinets. Never would do any business with them.

My husband and I were looking to update our bathroom and wanted to shop locally and not in one of the big box stores, so we went to General Kitchens on Warren Avenue in East Providence. They had so may different woods and counter tops to choose from and they helped us every step of the way, their knowledge and professionalism of all the products was so helpful for us and our bathroom looks absolutely beautiful, we highly recommend General Kitchens if you are looking to remodel or update your kitchen or bathroom !!

Wow! Went to a BIG box store could not get anyone to help us. Did an internet search and found General Kitchens, called them, set up an appointment with Jess. He walked us through the whole process, new kitchen counter tops and a bathroom vanity. We placed the order only to get a call a few days later, they can do an upgrade for the SAME price amazing. Installed when they said they would be installed. So glad the BIG box store could not help us. Thank you Jess and Lorelei so glad we meet.

In all reality,no one person will have the same experience. But I personally had a great experience, we were on a tight budget and needed something that could withstand 3 rambunctious boys, and we found it. The staff there were very clear and concise. I love that I was involved in the process. The cabinets are beautiful,chic and fit right into our budget. I would definitely recommend going to General kitchen; they have great varieties.

Sold cheap and damaged product, and refused to replace the items.

The cabinets we received were of flimsy construction, being primarily particle board. To make matters worse, after opening the packaging we found that many of the hardwood finishes were scratched, scuffed and even gouged on multiple doors and faces.

When I contacted Lorelli at General Kitchens about replacing these pre-damaged pieces I was immediately given the run around. When I didn't go away she became openly rude and simply hung up on me, refusing to give me her managers contact information when requested. It's also worth mentioning that Lorelli had been extremely rude to my wife when we decided to go with another seller for the counter tops. Normally this would have been cause to back out of the purchase immediately, but the way they operate makes this very difficult.

General Kitchens only take payments in cash. This is shady enough, but it also removes your ability to dispute the charge with the credit card company after the transaction has been completed. Another way they trap you into doing business.

I would advise others to avoid buying from this company, as they have no customer service to speak of, and also operate with the intent to hook and crook.

I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB and the state AG.

They are very thorough....you might think too thorough, but in actuality that is a good thing. Your order comes complete! When Jess came to my home he had great ideas for our design. Three years after our kitchen was complete we wanted to add another cabinet, they had all the paperwork and were very accommodating.

I cannot say enough about our amazing new kitchen. This is the 2nd time that we've used General Kitchens. The first time was our previous home. They were so helpful, and put our minds at ease in the midst of new construction issues. We got our kitchen and bath cabinets, as well as appliances from them. So nice to have one place take care of all of that! This time we purchased a home with an outdated kitchen. Once again the end result was fantastic! The designer was so helpful giving us ideas and tips we never thought of. I have recommended them to family and friends, who have been equally pleased. Their courteous staff, and quality product are second to none!

The designer was excellent and thorough, but as a business this was the worst experience we've ever had. Have to sign tons of papers (probably so they can say any mistake was my fault not theirs), we had to pay in full (credit card not accepted). Our counter top was supposed to have a single hole drilled, it came with three. They blamed us for describing the faucet improperly. The main cabinet that shipped was damaged. It was a huge piece taking up a lot of space, they did not want to take it out of our house till the replacement came in (four weeks later). We finally convinced them to come and remove the damaged part. Trying to get status on the replacement was difficult. I would NEVER EVER recommend this business to anyone. Do yourself a favor and shop someplace else. They are expensive and offer sub-standard customer service.

I’ve been in the construction industry for over 30 years, so I’m embarrassed to say I feel I was given a very poor quality product and service for the money I spent. The reason I went with General Kitchens was because I expected a kitchen supplier to take care of me and give me a professional job. That couldn’t be any further from the truth. They are full of smoke and mirrors. They present a much different picture of themselves than they deliver. In the end I received very poor quality cabinets and service for a lot of money. They are a two pony show. I could have gotten better quality cabinets at Home Depot for less money. My advice is also buyer beware. Read all the fine print before signing the multitude of papers. Oh, and bring cash since they don’t accept credit cards!

My husband and I just did a light renovation in our kitchen and we were in the market for new countertops, sink, etc. My mother recommended General Kitchens as they did an incredible job with her kitchen. I can't say enough about this company! I outlined a budget and they prepared various samples and options that fit into my budget and never tried to up-sell us on anything just to make some extra money. Jesse, who seems to be the owner or the manager, was extremely helpful and made suggestions without being pushy. The woman who works in the front also came by and helped us make some of final decisions in the process. It was a very laid back process that was handled with professionalism and courtesy and they really helped relieve the stress of everything. I would highly recommend General Kitchens!

Several years ago my parents build a new home and used General Kitchens for our kitchen and bathroom and have been pleased to this day with the results! The experienced design team did a beautiful job creating a customized modern design with white cabinets and a really neat recycled glass countertop! Everything about the process was thorough, organized, and my parents knew exactly what they were getting from start to finish. Later down the line, my parents even returned to General Kitchens to create a basement home office and bar area, and had the same wonderful experience! All products through both experience were a perfect fit, and General Kitchens was there to help every step of the way. Highly recommend!!!

I usually do not give reviews but I felt I have to warn others about this company. I bought a kitchen from them a year ago and it was the worse experience in my life. People are rude, impolite and unprofessional. They do not answer calls and even hung up on my contractor. They ask to pay everything upfront and claim to be less expensive than others but it is not true. They used outdated computers and extremely old fashion process. I should have gone elsewhere but when the process is ongoing it is very difficult to stop it. Their products are not great and their design person does not anything about newer kitchen features.Simply don't consider those people.
