After being a customer of Matt’s for well over 10 years, he pressured my mother into giving him $500 for an evergreen that she didn’t want and that he never planted when she was in the throes of dementia. He refused to refund even after being contacted several times both before and after she died. Despicable.

So impressed with the brush pile clean up the crew did for us today. Excellent tree work done a few months back too. Great value and friendly folks!

I just witnessed the company bring multiple trucks worth of workers to Wickford Dave's Market so they all could get free coffee. I saw all of them walk out without buying anything. Then I watch them cut off all of the cars trying to take a left out of the parking lot with their big trucks. Tells you a lot about the company the company and the people they hire.

We live next door to a project that Largesse was doing for our neighbors. I suggested to the crew that they might want to use my driveway for their chipping machine, which they did. To my surprise they chipped up a pile of brush on our property and left our driveway cleaner than it has ever been. The crew was great and I hope we’ll be able to use them in the future.

We purchased several evergreen trees from Matt Largess, paying a premium to have the trees planted by his crew in order to receive a twelve month guarantee. One of the trees was inadvertently dropped from the truck on delivery, cracking its root ball. It was planted despite this and died within two weeks. Another tree died a month later despite receiving care as instructed. Since then, we have given Matt every opportunity to honor his guarantee, agreeing to accept a single replacement tree and then calling the office many times to arrange for its delivery. His response has included an assortment of reasons for delay. On more than one occasion his office has given us dates for delivery that were never kept followed by apologies and further promises. Planting seasons have come and gone and it has become obvious that he has no intention of ever honoring his obligation. My advice: there are plenty of dependable choices for tree care and no reason to contract those that place no value on professional integrity.

I was recently involved with Matt to mitigate tree damage from a storm. Trees from a property I care for broke and landed in the neighboring estate. Matt promptly came to assess the damage, provided an estimate to clean up the debris as well give his professional advice to do preventive pruning at the same time to minimize other existing dangerous conditions. His crews performed the work quickly and efficiently. They took care to mat the grass areas to avoid ruts and were conscious of the need to access the property by the owners. I highly recommend using Largess Forestry.

Excellent experience with Largess Forestry! We hired them based on the reputation around town and us knowing many of the friends of the Largess family. They cleaned up a large tree in our back yard, were very communicative, reasonably priced and thanked us several times for the business. Would absolutely recommend!

Largess Forestry did an amazing job, thorough and careful. They even found a large branch on our old oak that was split in half and would have come down on the house if they hadn’t done such a complete inspection. They made a supreme effort to avoid stepping on any of my plants. Their cleanup was exemplary. I’ve never been so pleased with any landscaping work on my property.

I was really hoping to have some tree work done before Memorial Day Weekend but wasn't sure if it could be done on such short notice...but Pete and Will and the rest of their crew were able to squeeze me into their already busy schedule and get it done for me. Their pricing was extremely reasonable compared to other estimates I received and they made the difficult look very easy. I had one large cedar tree extremely close to my house that they brought down within a half hour, including the clean up, and the second tree way deep in my neighbor's yard that they also gave a nice hair cut too! Highly, highly recommended.

I highly recommend Largess Forestry. I had a few large oak trees and one pine cut down. They made quick work of the trees, cleaned everything up beyond expectation, and had they had best price of the multiple quotes I received. I would not hesitate to use Largess team again in the future.

These folks were great; I would highly recommend. I had some trees around the house with overgrown branches-- some hanging over the house--that needed pruning (including one tree that was growing alongside a power pole that needed to be removed completely for safety reasons). The staff took care of the issues in an efficient and sensitive manner. They also preserved the trees (I could tell they really care about the trees and their continued viability). And they were fast; the job was finished within a few days after I requested their assistance via their website. This is my second or third experience with this company; always good.

We are fortunate to have a London Plane Sycamore in front of our house that is close to 200 years old. It needed some work and some trimming. We love the tree and did not want just anyone for the job. Through friends, we were referred to Largess Forestry. Matt came to look at the tree, and after listening to his wealth of knowledge about the tree, and his suggestions, we knew we had the right man for the job.
The job is now complete, and they did an excellent job! Not only is Matt and Ron extremely professional, but the whole crew is outstanding. The clean-up, and removal was superb. I highly recommend Largess Forestry.
