Stanley Tree Service was phenomenal from beginning to end and will be the company we use going forward on our homestead. I got 7 quotes from other leading competitors in town, and the rep that came out from Stanley was the only one that put tree preservation first. The quote and write-up were extremely detailed, and the price was smack dab in the middle of the 7 quotes and extremely fair. The crew that showed up was awesome and extremely efficient. From the rep and the front desk to the tree crew, all 3 were amazing. We had a scheduling conflict due to our roofs going on all the buildings, and Stanley was able to get us in before on a tight timeline. Amazing company from beginning to end! Thank you, Stanley.

Beyond impressed by the service from Stanley Tree. They have so much attention to detail, both when meeting for an estimate to figure out EXACTLY what is you would like (which was all captured perfectly in the notes) and in the execution for our actual appointment, where the notes were reviewed with us ahead of time and followed to a tee. The crew was extremely kind, skilled, and thorough, and always checked with us after each phase before moving equipment to see that everything was up to the quality we wanted. All areas where work was done were thoroughly cleaned and cared for, and our trees now look beautiful and so much healthier. I could not recommend them more highly.

From the estimate appointment with Garth to the work itself, it was a positive experience. We had a couple other companies out to give us quotes on trimming back a Dogwood tree, but we didn’t feel confident. Garth was so knowledgeable about the tree itself and even looked at other plants/shrubs to let us know about the health and offered to include trimming of those at the same time to make the most of the minimum fee. They did an excellent job and we’ll be using them again in the future thanks to their knowledge and professionalism.

The crew that came was very professional, on time, wore the correct protective gear for safety, and cleaned up after themselves. The foreman reviewed the work had them cut a few more branches, and they cleaned up the best that they could, and they were gone the job Properly.
I was thoroughly impressed. I wouldn’t think twice about hiring Stanley tree service for my tree service needs again.

Theres only one word to describe our experience.....AMAZING!
We are new to CT and have never had to cut down a tree. So when we had to remove a leaning 85 ft Silver Maple tree, we set out to get quotes. Tyler's quote was by far the best and most reasonable. The crew that came out were very friendly, knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the day. Not only were they respectful to our property, but to our surrounding neighbors as well. When the job was complete, the yards were as clean as when they started.

We have and will continue to refer Stanley Tree to all our family and friends. As well, we look forward to working with them in the future.

Had to grind 2 stumps in front of my house on a city sidewalk. The two men that came (one named Greg) were very friendly and polite. They removed the stumps and were very careful not damage the newly poured concrete sidewalk. They raked some of the mulch that was produced into the bed of the shrubs that I had planted. They removed the rest of the material and did a nice job cleaning all the debris. Great job!! I'll definitely recommend Stanley Tree....

Stanley Tree Service was outstanding from start to finish. During a storm, their team came out the same day — within about an hour — to assess the situation and provide a clear, fair quote. By the very next day, they were back with a crane fully set up, removing and hauling multiple fallen trees efficiently and safely.

The crew was professional, fast, and extremely well organized, especially considering the weather conditions. Cleanup was excellent, and the whole process was stress-free at a time when things could have easily gone the other way.

You can tell this is a company that knows exactly what they’re doing and takes pride in their work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stanley Tree Service to anyone — especially for emergency storm work.

This company must have been hired by the town because they showed up unannounced at my property. We had no idea they were coming until they started cutting our prized maple tree in the front yard! Horrified, I ran out to talk to the workers as safely as I could. However, the workers didn't speak English. I was able to convey that I wanted them to stop cutting. They kept saying "we cut tree" and pointing to the power lines nearby. From that, I surmised that they were trimming trees away from the power lines in our town. However, this perfectly symmetrical mature tree is about 12 feet away from the power lines in question. I tried to explain that the branches grow up and not out so they will never hit the power lines even if they grew forever, but the workers couldn't understand my language. Unfortunately, I only speak English. They were also cutting randomly and not at the nodes of branches and now there is a hole in the side of my beautiful tree and I fear damage to the branches they hacked off. I am completely heartbroken!! Later, I went for a walk down the street and saw many MANY trees that had been trimmed, sporting fresh cuts but also with branches actually touching or in some cases completely engulfing power lines! It's funny because there are so many of them like this and they're on the same tree! So, I don't understand what the actual goal of the neighborhood cutting actually was and apparently, neither does Stanley Tree. I didn't want to take photos of my neighbors houses but there were so many trees like this. Here's just one example.

In the meantime, I will wait for my tree to leaf out and see the extent of the damage. I would like to highly suggest to Stanley Tree to provide some sort of notice to homeowners of any pre-planned cutting and also what the reason is. I would also like to suggest having an arborist on the team or someone with knowledge of how to properly trim trees without causing long term damage to the tree Thirdly, having an interpreter on site would greatly help for any interactions with English-speaking residents.

I meant to review these guys a few months ago. After our wonderful homeowners insurance demanded we remove limbs that were hanging over our house. We reached out to a few companies, and these guys seemed to know what they were talking about. Because of where the tree was in relation to the house, power lines, and our garage, they wouldn't be able to just "drop it", and they wouldn't be able to just climb it and drop everything, so equipment was needed. It wasn't cheap, but we had 2 crews working on this tree and a few other larger limbs that need to come down on other trees. They showed up on time. They were friendly and they did a great job of cleaning up when they were done.

I had a tree come down in yard due to a windstorm and called Stanley Tree Service to handle the cleanup and removal. I could be happier with their excellent people, reasonable pricing and the quality of work done on site.

First off, Forrest who came to do the initial evaluation was fantastic… extremely thorough, very knowledgeable and gave me several different options on how to address problem areas while they were onsite. No hard upsell, just identified some potential issues with other trees and offered solutions if I was interested. We agreed on the work to be done and I received a very fair quote later that day.

Once the crew arrived, they were all extremely friendly and made sure to take precautions to not damage my lawn or other trees. Upon completion of the work, they made sure I was happy with the result and left the yard in better condition than when they arrived.

Overall, working with Stanley was a fantastic experience and they will be my first call for any further tree work moving forward.

The professionalism and knowledge of each employee of Stanley Tree Service is beyond compare. We have been a costumer for a number of years and each year they find solutions that fix our problems and beautify our property. Each employee is knowledgeable, respectful, talented, and thorough. It’s obvious that the company managers inspire the work crews to perform at the highest levels on a daily basis. The managers I have worked with are also people who want to share their extensive knowledge with the home owner if so desired. I get an education each time they visit.
