Bates Electric

I had a great experience with Bates Electric. I was able to get an appointment promptly (which was great because a ceiling fan was falling out of the ceiling). Huu was the service tech that came out to my home. He was very knowledgeable and had a great attitude through the whole service. He made a point to explain that he was doing things a certain way as to make sure no other issues arise in the future. It’s nice to have a service provider focused on longevity rather than a quick fix that may need further fixing later. The service was a bit pricey, but honestly having anyone coming to your home is going to get pricey. It was worth it to have peace of mind that things were done correctly.

After the devastating storms in Belmont/Gastonia yesterday we have been without power for 24 hours and cannot get out of our driveway due to 3 trees down over the power lines. We have a home generator that did not kick on and would not manually start. First thing this morning I called Bates to see if they had someone willing to come out and help me out. My husband travels for work so we had no one to help us and Duke has predicted up to 5 days without power. Stephen W. came out within 5 hours of me calling and was the nicest guy ever and was super understanding that we have multiple trees down so he would have to park far away from our house and walk in. He got here and got the generator up and running within 2 hours plus a trip to get a battery because I can’t get my car out due to downed power lines and trees being down. I will never call anyone else out to the house!! Bates Electric saved us from being miserable for days and I am forever grateful! Stephen W was phenomenal. I cannot thank him enough!

Brad was great!! He fixed the problem with my ceiling fans quickly and was very communicative.
