I purchased a Generac 26 KW generator and it was installed last week. A crew of 4 installed it 7 hours including wiring and natural gas piping. It passed county inspection a few days later. The next day a technician showed up to start it up and explained everything about the operations of the generator and maintenance needed. I highly recommend AC Mechanical.

My wife and I lived in Florida for more than 25 years and over that time had four standby generators installed after long power disruptions due to hurricanes made them a necessity. We recently moved to a home in South Carolina with a well and septic system, so we felt another generator was required.
Owner of AC Mechanical, George Moore responded quickly to our request for an estimate, he answered all our questions and provided a low turnkey quote unlike other contractors contacted who would have subcontracted the gas connection portion of the work.
George did require a substantial up front deposit, but for us that was offset by a lead time that was shorter than other contractors we contacted. The large crew that arrived on the day of installation was extremely courteous and clearly had the process down to a science. This installation was by far the smoothest of the five generators we have now installed, the entire process was completed in 6 or 7 hours, except for the final gas connection and start-up!
The gas line passed inspection the following day and another smaller crew returned a few days later to make the final gas connection. There was a minor glitch when attempting startup, but George’s son came out quickly and resolved the problem by replacing a part. He did a great job of explaining operation and helping to set up the app for monitoring the generator remotely on our cell phones.
Since this local family-owned business also does electrical, plumbing and AC work I know we will use them in the future after this very satisfactory experience.

Every interaction with AC Mechanical was very good. All my questions about the generator were answered and explained. Schedule fit my needs and they showed up promptly as scheduled. The two young men were hard working and answered any questions I had and some I didn’t. They were a credit to the company.

For years during loss of power, I powered our home with a portable generator. I've been working out of town more often so it was concerns about being able to connect while I'm away. We decided to look into a Generac. I talked with George and he came out to inspect and perform a load calculation. He told me exactly what I needed to power my whole home. He sent his crew out the next week and in a very professional manner they installed my new Generac. We went several months and it performed its weekly maintenance run. Well 2026 brought ice one week and snow the next. My neighborhood lost power both weeks! Our Generac did not skip a beat. It did it's job powering our house the duration of both power outages. I must say, this is one of the best investments I've ever made. Thanks to George and AC Mechanical for a job well done.

Installed whole house generator. Very professional, polite, respectful, neat. Had some issues with contract and paperwork, and getting work inspected in timely manner. Pleasure to work with.

had a Generac Generator installed. they worked around my schedule and installed when and where I wanted it. Had A slight issues with the equipment but came out right away to fix it. (switch issue) also helped get it connected to the Wi-Fi. another Generac issue. I don't give anyone 5 stars because no one it perfect but they are close as close can get

July 29 had generator installed it took three day's . The installation went well. No complaints about the installation. But they are not standing behind their work. Upon payment I asked about completing the application and making the payment. I was told that I had 30days from the time of installation to sign up for service agreement. The application had been emailed to me before I agreed to the price of the generator and install. Yesterday I call to make a $600.00 payment for the three plan . I was told that the price went up by two hundred dollars . They are telling me the I was giving a quote for the maintenance agreement. I disagree I was given an application that listed the prices for a term of one thru three years. See photo.
