I really liked the technician that 1st Choice Heating & Cooling sent to my home. 1st Choice Heating & Cooling was lovely and did a great and thorough job.

He did not turn in our warranty paperwork for our equipment so instead of getting a 10 year warranty, we only got a 5 year warranty. And now he denies it was his responsibility. Will never use him again. Had to pay for a part that was supposed to be covered. It was a new build so it was his responsibility.

We were in need of some air conditioned comfort and I could not wait until Monday. I called Friday mid-morning and he was out in the afternoon. Pleasure to do business with and was a better value than I had expected! Sometimes it's worth taking a chance on the small business owner versus the usual "big business." Great service!

I rarely write reviews because I am terrible with words but Ryan's Heating and Cooling definitely deserved it so I made an exception. After dealing with a terrible company that ripped us off we called Ryan because of his good reviews. He took my call even after business hours, answered all of my many questions and was very patient with me. They came out and found that our unit needed to be replaced because of a large freon leak. He even showed me the leak which I appreciated. He stuck to the price he quoted us even though the job took longer than expected because other issues came up. I can not express how happy we are. This is an honest company that works very hard to please their customers. Thank you!

Initially I thought all was well, but I was unable to contact Ryan’s after the installation. A little more than a year after the install, the furnace quit. Still unable to contact him, I had another company come out and multiple serious issues were found with the furnance. The gas valve was not adjusted properly, it was bulging and close to exploding, heat exchanger had holes in it and the venting was installed incorrectly. I would never recommend Ryan’s. I, as well as others, have tried to contact him during and after this experience and have not received a response from him.

Frequently asked questions
-
Is GigoPro free to use?
Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing providers is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.
-
How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?
Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, active, and matches the category it claims. For regulated trades, we look for proper credentials, and inactive listings are hidden automatically.
-
How do I choose the right contractor?
Start with ratings and recent reviews, then compare the services offered, location, and response time. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes — not just the bottom line.
-
Can I list my business on GigoPro?
Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update your services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.
-
How often is the HVAC directory updated?
Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. This page, for example, is reviewed and updated monthly.
-
How often should I have my air system serviced?
At minimum, once a year — ideally a spring tune-up before cooling season and a fall check-up before heating season. Systems that run year-round, older units, and commercial systems often benefit from professional service twice a year.
-
Repair or replacement — how do I decide?
Ask each contractor for both a repair quote and an honest assessment of the unit's remaining life. As a general rule, if a repair costs more than a third of a new system, or your equipment is past its expected lifespan and breaking down repeatedly, replacement is usually the better value. Get two or three opinions before a decision this large.
-
Can companies on GigoPro handle emergencies?
Yes — many list emergency and same-day service in their profiles, with stated after-hours policies. Open the profile and check the response-time and availability information before you need it; in a real emergency, filter for companies that explicitly offer 24/7 service.
-
How much does service cost?
Costs vary by region, system type, and job — there is no honest single number. Reputable contractors provide written estimates after inspecting the system, and comparing two or three is the best way to understand what your job should cost.
-
Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?
Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the company and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs are exactly what helps the next homeowners in your city choose well — and what keeps listed professionals at their best.
