If not doing so already, I suggest anyone currently paying to have their lawns mowed, should definitely think about paying Mr. Richard Bybee instead!!! Richard and his team do quality work, they are very efficient, and probably the best priced mowing service around. Richard is a very fair businessman and will always treat you as if you're his most important customer. Very well ran mowing business!

Great company! Richard is a very nice, knowledgeable and honest owner. He does very high quality, fast and fair priced work! He and his crew went above and beyond what I expected from a lawn mow and trim. My yard looks great and I absolutely recommend these guys.

TruGreen is a great service for those with a busy lifestyle. Their lawn treatment plan and mosquito treatments really help make the yard feel accessible

I really haven’t had time to make a judgment on your services. At the moment my front yard looks like a zebra. I hope the next applications bring my grass back? It’s hard to tell what my yard will look like. I trust my lawn will come back in time. Our neighborhood uses True Green so I think if their lawns are a testament to your services my lawn will come back. I’ve had two applications so far. I’m hoping.🫤

They came out to Treat our yard for mosquito, flea and tick. Watching on our ring cameras the did not complete the treatment. We called the company and they told us the would.send somebody back out. Approximately 1 1/2 week later we were on vacation, our ring camera.show them coming back out. We just got home, I walk on my front lawn and got three mosquito bites. We have sign up for the treatment because we have two dogs with allergies to fleas which the take meds for and I have bad reaction to.mosquitos. We love the Grass is Greener company but stuck with truegreen when they bought them out. Think we need to find another family own business to handle our yards.

I spoke with Paul H. about an issue I was still having with weeds and he explained to me how he was going to address my issue. He sprayed my entire lawn with a weed killer. All I can do now is follow his advice and wait and see the results. This service was a re-treatment done for no charge.

Our tru green tech was extremely helpful at the service appointment today. We have a couple of areas I the yard that are not doing well. We discussed different ideas on addressing these areas.

So disappointed. I recently moved into this beautiful neighborhood which at the time my grass was beautiful. After a couple visits from True Green, it’s dying!

In 2023, we lawn issues and hired TruGreen to get our grass back alive and well. We paid IN ADVANCE and they came out and I guess they did something, but honestly, my yard was still pretty rough. One of the last treatments, it was a new TruGreen guy who commented he was surprised our yard looked so bad, but didn’t offer to do anything about it.
When TruGreen wanted to renew, I called and told them I wasn’t satisfied with their service and wanted to cancel. They were reluctant to cancel, it was a bit of a hassle. They wanted me to give them more moeny, but made no attempt as service recovery on prior work or reassurances about future work.
Then we got a bill for ~ $30. I paid in advance and our service had ended. I called and no one could explain it. I told them in no uncertain terms that I was not satisfied with their service, did not owe them money, and that was the second time I asked them to cease all contact with my wife, myself, our address, email addresses, and phone numbers.
We hired Weed Man and now our lawn looks like someone actually took care of it. A TruGreen guy was in the neighborhood and saw their (one) sign and knocked on our door persistently even though there is a NO SOLICITING sign.
My spouse pointed it out and he made a joke about it and continued to pitch to her even after she said we were not satisfied with our TruGreen service. He was friendly but his actions were disrespectful.
Their contact form only allows 300 characters. I don’t know if you see the pattern here, but it’s not like they listen to their customers and with a 300 character limit, it’s clear they don’t want to.
Me: “Lawn looks bad after service. One of your guys said so. Told TruGreen when I called to cancel services. Got a random bill later no one could explain. Made clear I wanted no further contact. Got a guy soliciting on 10/24 even though I have a no soliciting sign. Limited to 300 characters: just stop.”
TruGreen: “I do apologize that the service did not work out for you as planned. I am showing the account has been cancelled as requested, the last balance was removed back in March. We will update the account again.”
I felt unacknowledged.
Me: “Now that I have more than 300 characters (TruGreen should consider expanding that), I can explain more. I've asked TruGreen a couple of times and yes, that was back in March. On top of that I have a No Soliciting sign on my door. Still a TruGreen guy knocked on my door, persistently at that. My wife answered and pointed out the No Soliciting sign to him. He still gave a sales pitch and kind of acted like the sign didn't apply to him. You may want to provide some field training so those going to doors know that "no soliciting" does apply them.”
Another person responded.
“I am sorry to hear that out specialist was out at your property after seeing the no soliciting sign. Thank you for bring this to out attention and we would be looking into this to ensure it does not happen moving forward. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist with; we value you as our customer!.”
Better except I’m still getting mail from them.
Multiple reps were made aware that we were dissatisfied. While they were busy overstepping boundaries, there was no service recovery or reassurances. Kind of sounds like they just want to see how much money they can get out of me and don’t take pride in their work.
During service, they put signs ALL OVER my yard, even in my privacy fenced backyard. We asked them to stop. They did not, so I ended up collecting a handful of signs off of my tiny lot every time.
Weedman has been AMAZING. They make sure we know the service they’re providing, answer any questions, and accommodate any asks we have of them every time. They are nice and respectful.
I have asked them multiple times to cease all contact. They can’t be bothered. TruGreen clearly does not respect their customers. If I didn’t know better, I’d say harassment is part of their business model.

I’ve had true green for several years and they have done an excellent job on my yard. If I see a weed I just call and they come right away to fix it at no additional cost.

We recently moved to the Soddy Daisy, TN area and needed a lawn care service. After speaking with neighbors, we decided to select TruGreen as our service provider. We weren’t able to be home on our first treatment with TruGreen. After reviewing our security camera footage of our property, I was very pleased to see our technician Andrew performed our service completely. It gives me peace of mind knowing that good service technicians who perform their job very well and without the need for supervision remain. Looking forward to seeing the results of our service over the upcoming season. We are very pleased with our first service of the 2025 season with TruGreen.

I’ve had many different companies spray my lawn, I even had Trugreen years ago. But today I had the most thorough technician I’ve ever encountered. Adam Gorman was my tech today from Trugreen and this was my first application so I haven’t seen any results yet but I mentioned to Adam that he was doing a much better job of spraying than I’m used to and his reply was perfect. He said “I want results”. He sounded like he was talking about his own lawn. I appreciate that kind of work ethic. I hope all of your people are this dedicated because that will keep your company thriving.

A TruGreen salesman stopped by while in the neighborhood and left a door knob flyer on my door. I had him come back out and detail what they could do for my yard. After talking about his recommended plan, he put my card on file under the condition that it was NOT TO BE CHARGED until I received a service contract, read through it, and signed off on a plan. I stated this twice during the course of our conversation, which included a phone call with Andrew, a sales manager for the Chattanooga area.
I expressed that my wife has abnormal health issues which I needed to be extremely sensitive to and I wanted to read through the products they used as well as their service plan before finalizing any service plan or payment method. Fast forward several days and I never received any details from TruGreen. No service contract, no information, nothing. During that time, I did my own digging and found that TruGreen uses chemicals closely associated with health issues that my wife deals with, so I texted the sales rep. In that text, I detailed that I never received a service contract to sign or any additional information on the products they use, as I requested during his in-person visit. No emails, no texts, again, nothing. As a result, I told him I was no longer interested in pursuing a service plan with TruGreen due to my wife's health concerns along with their lack of communication/information. Mind you, at this point, I had given zero permissions, AND I never signed anything saying service was to be conducted on my property. Two days later, after arriving home from work, I saw yet another TruGreen door knob flyer on my front door. It detailed a weed and fertilizer treatment performed on my property that day. They then charged my card for the surprise visit.
Needless to say, I am furious, but I want to know if this is standard practice for TruGreen? They never reached out, never set up a scheduled visit, never received any form of written or verbal permission to do this. Apparently having my card on file is all the "permission" they need to conduct business. Lesson learned.
I have reached out and am waiting on a response, but regardless of how things are resolved, I want to warn others so they don't fall prey to this same issue. In my additional reading about TruGreen and its practices, I found they have been subject to multiple lawsuits for false advertisement among other questionable business practices. I'm sure the quality of service varies region-to-region, but my experience with the Chattanooga region has not been pleasant.

Second service for the 2025 season with Tru Green. The technician arrived within the alerted schedule and asked if I had any concerns. After discussing, he went to work and treated our lawn thoroughly… in the rain. I was very pleased to see that he showed excellent work ethic even in the worst of weather. For those who wonder why you would treat in rain, well it allows the herbicide to get into the ground to do it job and saves you money from having to water the lawn. Excellent service!!! Thank you!
