We love the service!! Grass Monkeys have by far been the best lawn care service we’ve ever had!! They provide excellent customer service! Our lawn looks great year after year! Thank you so much for your service and dependability!

UPDATE - I called last week and spoke to a lady in the office who said she would send my concern up to a supervisor. Currently waiting on a call back. In the meantime, I will post pictures of my yard and let the $800+ service speak for itself.

I reviewed my records from March 2022. I was sent a standard Grass Monkeys email saying "you are scheduled for service tomorrow". They send a completely different email before seeding and aeration, telling you to pick up your yard, be sure and water every day for 2 weeks, etc. There was NO mention in the email from March saying they would seed and aerate the next day. The day of service, I received a text saying "your service is completed! The tech sprayed and fertilized. Will come back later in March and aerate." Again, ZERO mention that aeration was done. In fact, the text said they would come in the future and aerate. The lady in the office says the system defaulted and sent me that previous message again in error, but really aeration was done on that day.

So my question is, how would I even know aeration was done? I was out of state for the month of March. You don't seed and aerate someone's yard without telling them.

Dropping down to 1 star as I have yet to receive a call back. $800 rip off, taken for a ride with this company.

I really wish it would've worked out. I purchased a year of service in spring 2021. They did aeration and seeding last fall. A freeze came right after. Last winter I received a call from them saying they would come and do spraying along with aeration and seeding in the spring 2022 at no charge, because they did it later than anticipated and a freeze came. Spring came and they did 2 rounds of service, but no seeding. Customer service was not the best as I was originally billed for the sprayings and had to track down proof that I was told it would be free. Now it is a year later, over $800 spent, and my yard is still patchy. I wish I could recommend, but I can't.

Wow! Grass monkeys has really taken care of my grandmother's yard this year. He has been on a weekly basis making sure to keep it looking good. Easy to communicate with and always professional.

Lawnstarter manages local professionals and matches them to my lawn, Whenever there have been questions or issues they respond immediately. That is great for me as an out of state property owner.

Set them up to go out to a yard i cut for ten years. The back yard as a steep hill you have to cut a section with a weed eater. I didn't think anything of it. Guy uses that 17 by ten foot section in the back to not cut any of my back yard. I told him on messages I've cut it why was he not able to do any of it he said have a nice day. Cant get anybody from the company on the phone and they want a three cut minimum when they didn't even do the job the first time. Still need to talk to a person.

Lee couldn't mow my lawn due to rain, but he showed up a few days later (during the Memorial Day weekend, no less) and completed the job. The lawn looks great - as usual. Thank you!

Very professional and great communication

Kevin is the man to mow your lawn. He is a hard worker good communicater and he is always on time.

I couldn't be more impressed with Anthony with LawnStarter. He is prompt and professional. He does a great job mowing our lawn and he also trims all of the weeds around the foundation of the house and fence. He edges and blows the patio, driveway and sidewalk. I would definitely recommend Anthony to anyone looking for a professional lawn service expert!

Having good success with an app-based lawn service, LawnStarter. So far, I’ve used them twice and I’m very pleased. You just let them know what type of service you need, lawn mowing, brush/tree trimming, lawn treatment, mulching, etc., and they send a local service provider to complete the job. You can setup a weekly/bi-weekly scheduled service, or schedule specific jobs, all handled via your app, and you don’t have to in pay cash!

They sent a crew out on Thursday. The crew mowed one line and quit. Did not inform me of any problems. I called and asked why and was given some vague reason that doesn't make sense because not even their staff get a detailed reason why. The reschedule was up to four days later. I have immediately canceled the service and will not let their unprofessional crews onto my property because I believe this was an effort to let the grass grow a little more so they can charge a long grass fee.
