I had an excellent experience with Chatta-Rooter Plumbing when they replaced my septic system. John, the owner, was upfront, honest, and provided me with great options. The entire process was smooth, and I highly recommend their services.

Highly recommend Chatta-Rooter!! We were continuing to have issues with the septic in our new build house where water was pooling above the tanks in our front yard. We originally had a plumber from Roto-rooter come out to look at but, they couldn’t figure it out and said it was just because of snow melting. I Googled other septic companies in chattanooga and saw the good reviews for Chatta-Rooter. They did not disappoint! They scheduled an assessment within a couple days of me calling. John came out and he could tell right away our pump was malfunctioning. I was super impressed that he did his research ahead of time and looked up the type of septic we had (low pressure system) and educated me about how it works and the kind of maintenance it requires. After working on it all day he was able to figure out that the plumbing on septic was not installed correctly and agreed to fix it for no extra cost despite not being included in the original estimate. John was honest, reliable, and very thorough with the job. Communication with the entire team was great and they truly went above and beyond to fix the issue.

These guys are absolutely AMAZING! I am a local Realtor in Chattanooga and some of my previous clients were having issues with their septic so I sent them the list of licensed plumbers approved by the city to pull permits, etc. They had an awesome experience and we’re super grateful. When I had issues with my tank, I called some of the bigger box shops to come out and quote the work. I had to have a whole new system put in with a new tank, fields lines, etc. The bigger companies quoted me 16k and 17k!! There was absolutely no way I could afford that.. so I called up my previous clients to ask who they used and had a great experience with. They told me Chattarooter. So I immediately called for a third opinion. They were able to do the EXACT SAME job as these other companies for significantly LESS (under 10k). They also had in house financing which was super easy to apply for and use (they just send you a link via text and it’s all done easily over mobile.. very super user friendly). The part I loved the most is that you get a personal approach. The owner Jon and his wife Cori work on site along with his son and their guy Mike. They are all so friendly and genuinely care about doing great and professional work! I would 100% recommend them over and over again. You will not be disappointed that you hired them!

I worked with Jon’s team when I needed a new septic system. The job required installing a pump tank and the electrical work required, moving the field lines to the backyard and navigating a brick staircase. They took their time, did the job right and we’ve had no issues since. When I’ve had questions he’s been responsive and helpful.

We recently purchased and moved into a home with a septic tank. Being first time septic system owners, I did some research and found out the system has to be pumped every 3-5 years. The previous owners stated they never touched it in the time they lived in the house (a little over 3 years) so I figured it was time to have it pumped. I called several companies but since I wasn’t having a problem with it they didn’t want to come out right away. I finally reached a company that said they could come. I wish now I had never trusted that company! They over charged for the job they did and wanted to do “fix” things in my tank that didn’t need fixing. I decided to get a second opinion and came across Chatta-Rooter. They came out to give me a free estimate. Come to find out, I didn’t need everything the other company had scared me into thinking I needed. Chatta-Rooter gave me a free estimate, patiently answered all my questions, set my mind at ease regarding my septic system, and were VERY economical! I hired them to complete the job and they went above and beyond! I’m so grateful I found them! They will be my go-to septic company from now on and I will recommend them to anyone that asks!

Great company was super knowledgeable got my preexisting septic passed with county inspection quickly knew exactly what to do. Will call them every time great people and always answer the phone!

The ChattaRooter team was AMAZING to work with. I had to get my Field Lines replaced...which was a bummer but they helped us understand WHY. Everyone was so professional, communicated regularly regarding updates, had fair prices (saved me $1500), helped me understand the field line and septic problems we were having, and it was nice to support a local business. So thankful for the CR team and should we have plumbing needs again, I know who we'll be contacting!

We had a complicated and complex septic tank repair that needed to be done. Jon and Cora did a great job. The absolutely nicest people. They worked from early in the morning to late at night to get the job done. They handled all of the details for us. I have blueberry bushes and a garden near where Jon had to maneuver the backhoe and I was really anxious about my plants and bushes getting damaged but he was meticulous not to damage any of it. I would 100% recommend them. And I would use them again in the future.

After a few rough weeks with our grinder pump, we finally got it fixed. The technician was professional and explained what had gone wrong. Everything is running perfectly now.

As all the other reviews mention: Jon, Cory, and their crew are AMAZING. They are extremely talented at what they do and patient enough to break everything down throughout the entire process so we could understand it. Our septic was original to our 60's home (it was actually homemade) and it began overflowing into our back yard. We called late on a Friday and they pumped it and diagnosed it early Sunday. We ended up needing an entirely new system and our front and back yard weren't big enough to run field lines up to code. They had to install a new septic tank and a holding tank. Not an easy task given that we live on the W road on Signal Mtn. They excavated huge rocks and boulders to get these massive tanks in the ground. They also had to clear land on a hill above the house and dig our field lines. We gave them an impossible job and they did everything they said they would at a reasonable cost and in the time frame they promised. We are 2 months in with no issues or hiccups and we've already told many friends and family about them. We 100% recommend for any plumbing job!

Easter Saturday evening we had a broken pipe in our yard we had been trying to find for 2 days with no water to the house. As soon as the technician walked over to it and confidently assured us it was an easy fix so we knew the weekend festivities were back on!

I had a plumbing back up in my rental house on a Saturday morning. John and his crew quickly showed up and worked all weekend to replace my cast iron sewer line that had been causing repeat issues for my house. They did a great job especially in light of the very difficult terrain and location of my sewer line. They took extra care to make sure to restore and clean up the site afterwards. I'm very happy with the work.
