We are in a new build in Southside TN, and our electricity bill was double our neighbors and that was for four months. We have the smallest house in the subdivison and Thought it was a fluke because our winter was so horrible, we had a inspection done with another hvac company because I did not want dawnson and dawnson to come out since they were the installers, I wanted another opinion. Well, Come to find out they Found indoor coil frozen in heat mode in thermostat. After opening the condenser I found that the common wire for the reversing valve was not connected making
the AC run when in heat mode causing the electric heat to come on to keep up with the temperature setting on the thermostat. Also found about 2.5 gallons of
water in the secondary drain pan. So needless to say this wire should of been installed correctly the first time and would of saved us a lot of money. So just a warning if having a install done or in a new build. We are beyond pissed and wish we would be compensated. -
