I requested a quote for my 78 year old momma house. James Hughes was out the very next day. I can honestly say the best professional I have ever encountered. I live in Pensacola but the installation was in Memphis. I was informed about everything that was going to happen and when it happens. Upon completion he walked my mom through on the operation of her new generac. If you are looking for a generator that you can really on with professional care? Hughes electric is the place to get it done. They are 2nd to none!

The entire experience with James and his team was great. They all handled themselves professionally, communicated well, arrived when scheduled, cleaned up after themselves and did excellent work. If you decide you want the peace of mind a whole house generator brings, you can’t go wrong with Hughes!

They kept in touch during the entire process the office ladies are amazing as well! So grateful for the service and peace of mind. I hired Hughes Electrical to install a whole-house backup generator by Generac, and every step of the process was effortless and perfect. I highly recommend them. James ensured that everything was perfect before completing the job.

I wish I could give higher than 5 stars! James came out and gave a presentation on exactly what the home generator will do. He was patient, educated, and answered all of our questions. The installation process went very smoothly. His team did an excellent job. After the install, James came back out and went over the ins and outs of the generator. We did get several quotes, and Hughes Electrical couldn't be beat in terms of price, education, and knowledge. In my opinion, James and his entire team were over the top to ensure our home was safe and protected for the generator install. Hughes Electrical & HVAC Services is amazing! We called them for a second opinion after another company misdiagnosed our issue and then tried to sell us a WILDLY OVERPRICED system.
The difference was night and day. Ms. Tammy was a great help over the phone, and the owner personally came out for the diagnosis. Not only were they honest and professional, but they were able to restore our heat immediately and accurately diagnose the actual problem. The technician followed up and was on-site shortly after.
It is so refreshing to find a company that is caring, honest, and detail-oriented rather than just trying to sell an expensive replacement. If you want a team with integrity, call Hughes!

As someone new to the area, it can be difficult to determine which companies can be trusted for honesty and reliability. I am pleased to have been referred to Hughes Electrical & HVAC for my Generac generator. Their professionalism and customer service exceeded my expectations. The initial site inspection/quote were provided by owner James Hughes. He gave expert insight and patiently answered my many questions. Pricing was transparent. Tammi who scheduled the installation was friendly and knowledgeable in explaining how the workflow would proceed. She graciously accommodated my schedule. The electricians and plumber who completed the install were punctual and efficient. They left the area clean when they were finished. Mr. Hughes returned the following day to inspect the installation work, perform the initial start-up, and provide "Generator 101". He reviewed what to expect from the equipment during a real power outage (lights, sound, duration limits, and subsequent maintenance). A few days later when the system kicked on for its 1st weekly self-test, it performed exactly as described. This was an outstanding experience and I highly recommend Hughes Electrical & HVAC!
