Dave came by and did a brilliant job fixing our issue! We had an entire wall where the outlets didn't work and discovered through a bit of discovery an entire wire was not connected to the breaker from evidently another time work was done here at the house! He also made our little girl's room safe by putting the proper switch to the wall because the wrong one was attached, The fan was flickering and the dimmer switch was incorrectly added on a prior install. Highly recommend him and Discount Electrical Service!

Quality, fast, electrical service in Murfreesboro Tennessee.
I needed to run 240v to my garage for woodworking tools. After waiting two weeks for missed appointments and calls with another company, I called Ron at Discount Electrical Service. His employee, also Ron, showed up at the appointed time, THE NEXT DAY, and did a great job. I had a clear estimate. He was pleasant, clean, and quick. The owner stopped by to help during the job, and everything was squared away and working perfectly before mid-day. Very pleased.

I had a great experience with this company. Their electricians were very punctual, knowledgeable and professional. Their office is responsive and I found their prices to be reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

I think this is the 4th time I've used them...they are awesome. I had a light fixture that had some water damage and impossible to twist off because of rust,David the super electrician gently hit it with a screw driver and was able to remove it and install a new light. Experience and skill is what you get with this company, they are my go to for anything electrical. Thanks for your expertise.

When I think of Discount Electrical Service, I think of "The Rons". Ron, the owner, and Ron the lead Electrician who you usually deal with while they are working on your project. I have used them for multiple large home projects over the past year or so, and I can't say enough good things about this company. Ron, the owner, came to my house after I called him about some really, really weird electrical problems in my new home. Well, long story short, they made some calls and replaced every outlet and a lot of runs under my house. They also ran some specialty lines for my computer closet and the tanning bed in our garage. I have not had a single problem with anything they have replaced or put in place for me; and my projects were far from "straight forward" and I am not remotely the easiest customer to deal with when dealing with a new "unknown" company. I'm flat hard to deal with and very particular; though they never let on that they noticed any of that. :) They aren't too big to take on small home projects and still have the best rate around, and they aren't too new or small enough that you have to worry about "shortcuts" or missed deadlines/appointments. You can tell they had a plan in the place when the company started, and they have been following it ever since. I plan on them being the only company I use for my home or my business projects.

Discount Electrical Services just recently came out to my house to rework the lighting and outlets in my down stairs game room. This has been a long awaited portion of my remodel. I have had more than one electrician come out and look at the job. Discount electrical came out gave me a solid bid, they were on time and finished in the time they had agreed upon. I will certainly use their services again.

My wife and I recently acquired a infrared sauna and had to modifications to it and a wall plug to get it to work. Well, after I failed in my attempt to be a “Mr. Fix-it”, my wife contacted Discount Electrical Service.

They did an awesome job. From the beginning when they arrived to evaluate the situation and quote me a price, Ron and Joe were knowledgeable, courteous, and explained everything so even I could understand it to explain to my wife. They were about 10min early when they returned to fix our electrical situation and were done in a timely manner. I mean they had to drill a hole in my outside wall, run a wire from one side of my house to the opposite side through my crawl space that’s no taller than 2ft in height, and wire and add a new breaker to my box outside. Then once they did that, they respliced the electrical cord coming from the sauna to correct what I did wrong. (Ha Ha!!) And all that was done in less that 2hrs.

I would highly recommend Discount Electrical Service to all who have electrical needs. Don’t hesitate to call them. I will use them again definitely.

Company gave me a good quote for replacing attic fan. Technicians showed up early for the job. Very professional and courteous. I will definitely use them again and ask for the same techs to come back.

My Mom, sister Leigh and I moved into our new home in July not realizing just how bad the electrical system was. We have been going through a lot with losing several family members over the last 3 years so when we found out just had bad things were, we were overwhelmed and scared as we didn't have anyway to pay only about 80% upfront. They were kind and considerate and worked with us so we will have heat to survive this coming winter. I am NOT being over dramatic but am stating facts. We didn't have a way to heat our home until they came and replace the basement panel and upgraded our 100 amp service to a 200 amp service. They have been a tremendous blessing to us and want to thank them for the compassionate treatment to us. Thanks ever so much.

The Rons helped us create a safer and much more efficient environment in the older home we recently purchased. They returned phone calls within an hour or so of my initial inquiry. They came out the same afternoon and looked over the job to give me a quote. There were many issues I was not aware of that were pointed out to me, but at no time did anyone pressure me to add to the job. They listened to what we really needed and educated us on what we needed to really do the job right. We got a very reasonable quote and they stuck to it! These guys went above and beyond my expectations and were a true pleasure to work with.

It is always scary trying to find someone to come out and work on your home. It takes time to develop trust and to get an idea of how things will go. I checked these guys out because of the other reviews here on Google, and I am very happy to say they are the real deal. Honesty, integrity, and quality for a fair price. These qualities aren't all that common anymore. It is refreshing to know that guys like this are still out there and skilled at what they do.

Discount Electrical did great work and at a fraction of the price of other companies. They were on time and kept an open line of communication with me during the entire pool project. We plan to build a detached garage in the next year and will definitely use them for that project!

Great service and a great experience! Ron came out the same day I called to do an estimate and the job was taken care of the next day. We had tried calling a number of companies before Discount that would never even call us back. Quality work and service for a very reasonable price. Would recommend Discount Electrical Service to anyone.

They were able to come and estimate the job for wiring for our above ground pool and get the job done quickly. James did a great job explaining everything he had done and was clean and friendly. I would use them again and recommend.

These guys were amazing! The person I’d originally hired canceled on me a half hour before the 8am job, and these guys made it to me that same morning shortly after I called them. I bought a house a few months ago that some missing gfis, and several outlets and switches that didn’t work, and I also needed some new outdoor and crawl space outlets installed. When they were working on that they ended up finding exposed wire the sellers were supposed to have taken care of but didn’t, some really weird dangerous DIY wiring, annnd that the breaker didn’t trip like it should, so they then also covered the exposed wiring, redid all my outlets and switches, and replaced the suuuuper old panel. And they got a fan wired and put up, too. They were so sweet, I feel much safer now, and I am SO GRATEFUL.

10/10 would recommend. Good pricing, great work, and a very honest local company. Used for commercial lighting and got pricing 1/3 the price of other corporate electricians. They allowed me to provide my own material saving even more. Scheduling and payment terms were simple and not over complicated. Will use again when needed. We had the best experience with the technician Milo on July 20, 2024. Milo came out to fix our breaker box. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very courteous. He fit us in on a Saturday, and he was able to restore our power in a matter of minutes. We couldn’t be more thankful for the team at Discount Electrical and the top tier service we received.
