DO NOT USE! our sellers of our house we just bought hired this company to clean and check the air conditioner upon closing for our home warranty. Our ststem went out july 4th weekend 2 WEEKS after we were told it was fine by this man. Now we are being told there is a leak where a old repair was wrongly fixed that just mysteriously appeared that wasnt there before? Also our home warranty said the coils on the inside(that he said he didnt clean when the invoice says cleaning??) Havent not been cleaned in a very long time... now we will have to try and fight so maybe this wont happen to someone else again. Sad.

My husband and I contracted with Mountain City to install a new ac unit for our home. The business owner ordered and installed a new ac unit in our house and performed the tasks listed on the contract adequately. While he was doing the installation, my husband and I asked him to also put in a return air duct to make the ac unit perform better. This was agreed on verbally, but not put in the contract. After the ac unit was installed, the owner of Mountain City still needed to return to our house to put in a new thermostat saying he would do the return air duct at that time. The new thermostat was installed, but the air return duct was not. The Mtn City owner stated that he didn’t have the materials to do the job on that day. After waiting a few days and then contacting Mtn. City several times & leaving messages, the business owner finally admitted (by text), that he was not going to put in the return air duct that was agreed upon verbally.
Lesson learned. Unless it is written and agreed upon it writing, you can’t trust that the work will get done. It has been said for years, a man is only as good as his word.
In fairness though I should state, the owner did agree to refund $300.
First I would suggest not using this company, but if you do, make sure absolutely everything is in the contract.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! THEY WILL SCAM YOU! Roger Williams scammed my mother. She called him to fix her air conditioning and told her that the only issue was the thermostat. He charged her $325 just to change said thermostat, which another HVAC tech has since informed us is WELL over market price for such a small thing. The next day the AC STILL wasn't working right so that obviously wasn't the problem and he will not honor his work, come see what went wrong, or even answer the phone when she calls. It has been WEEKS in this heatwave and he scammed an older, disabled woman out of $325. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!
