They take care of a neighbors yard three houses down the street from my home. They blow all the debris in the street. The guy in the maroon shirt said they would pick up the debris. They did not. Classy.

Mitchell Landscaping does an excellent job and I highly recommend them. They have been our landscaper in Canyon for about 20 years and they have done an wonderful job of helping our property look its best due to the beautiful landscaping job they to on a weekly basis. They have vast knowledge of vegetation and what works best in our area. Their office manager, Heather, makes it very easy to reach the company for answers to questions that may come up on the spur of the moment. Also, they have remote access to our watering system which helps if there is some kind of a difficulty and we are out of town. I love their professionalism, communication, relability and efficiency and highly recommend them.

We had an excellent experience with Mitchell Landscaping! They were prompt, honest, and fair. Our yard looked great after dealing with grubs and disease for years.

I was recommended this service from a respected friend in the business. I needed a valve located and fixed. IThey canceled first 2 appts after being 2 hours late. I had to call them to find out where they were and ETA. My time is worth money because I'm a sales rep. They ate up 2 afternoons with no-shows and cancelation. When they showed up, I pointed them to the valve in suspicion. It was exactly where I suspected and indicated. The man showed me the plastic piece that was busted. Said he had to 'rebuild.'. Hmmm..... I'm not sprinkler guy but looks like replace broken piece.
They arrived at 8:00 and left at 8:25. 25 mins for locate and rebuild. The bill was $295. Good grief??? $295 for 1/2 hour.
I will not recommend or use them again. They were not punctual or on time. They are over priced. When I explained my displeasure, they said they would adjust my bill. Adjusted $45. My time, 6 hours in 2 days, of waiting on them and have them cancel on me. They just insulted me by saying my time is worth approximately $7 hour for that adjustment.
No sir..... Your business is not worth $295 for half hour or hour. You will not ever hear from me again. I will share displeasure in my referral from friend. Very sad.....

They started a week early, in spite of contract specifying start date. The lawn does not look mowed at all, though they claim to have mowed. I had a few other people inspect my lawn, and they too could not see where there was evidence of mowing. They trimmed rose bush in garden, but left rose branches scattered in yard. They trimmed a couple of trees, and all leaves were left in garden. I was out of town when they did their first "effort," and in all honesty, I thought a storm had come through Amarillo with all the debris that was left on lawn and in garden. I sincerely hope their service improves, as I was initially excited about hiring them. Time will tell, but I am now skeptical........Well, after a few months since my original post, this group has not improved. Our last bill was for $195. This compares to $80 per month we were paying with a former mower. Rather than them doing any garden work, I am the one who actually is pulling weeds and dead flowers. Unfortunately, I am under contract for another 6 months, and will be glad to fire this "service." Update as of 12/4.....I was able to terminate their services based on extremely poor performance.

I was so excited to work with David after he sent me the plans for our backyard. It was beautiful and perfect. What happened instead was not the plans we discussed at all and what I ended up with was 10K worth of dead plants, trees, grass as well as a faulty drip and sprinkler system. The company has failed to take any responsibility for the mediocre work that was done and essentially washed their hands of the numerous issues as soon as they left the job. The owner placed blame on everyone but himself and his crew (as credit they were very nice and respectful) and instead all but insinuated that we were at fault and lying despite having to repair and replace things ourselves that were not done correctly and multiple emails and calls to the office. At no point was anything done to suggest ways to rectify the problems and make them right but instead it was excuse after excuse. The issues that we have had since day one are extensive and too numerous to list here and began less that two hours after they finished the job. Buyer beware. I would not recommend giving this company even the smallest of tasks. If I had the option there would be zero stars.

We had been excited to work with Mitchell Landscaping after a friend had had a positive experience, but that was definitely not the case for us. We moved into a new house and had a horrible problem with weeds, specifically a lot of grassburs. During our consultation, they told us that the mix they use would be able to take care of them and the other weeds we had present. After the initial application, nothing at all died so they came back out and did a second application & told us to keep an eye on it and if we still had problems to let them know. The second application killed some weeds, but still had a yard full of grassburs. I contacted them again & they said they would come back out and spray again as the second application might have been too diluted. The 3rd time worked better (although we still have some grassburs, but better than it was) & we were told that we would now continue with the normal schedule of treatments & they should all be gone by spring. They have since come and also done a fertilizer spray. I received an extra bill from them & called to say that I should be paid up. I was told that the 3rd try wasn't really a 3rd try and that was just moving on in the treatment plan. I explained that was not what we were told, but she absolutely wouldn't hear it or even say she would check with Stone (the person I have been talking to each time) to see if that is what we had been told & we just need to pay it. We just canceled our future schedule & now have an extra bill to pay that we shouldn't have, based on what I was told. If you think you want to use them, get everything in writing because she absolutely doesn't care what you were told. Now I am out hundreds of dollars & still have a crappy looking yard with grassburs. Giving 2 stars because at least some of the weaker weeds died...

I’m not sure how to begin. I originally got a quote for synthetic turf and a pergola. I chose Mitchell’s because I thought they were a reputable company. I ended up doing turf, pergola, sod(not by choice), flower bed, fence, concrete, iron gate. It took 3 months. It started off wrong because I was urged to left them dig out for the turf days before they could install. I reminded David that I had four dogs and new indoor furniture. He told me it would be better than what I had. I ended up with the base all over my house including on my new furniture. It took a week closer to two for them to come back to install the turf. They subbed out the concrete which was started when the dig out started. Their concrete guys busted my sprinkler line. Mitchell’s said they had it fixed. It wasn’t. Lines were busted in more than one places. They also tore up a lot of the grass I had left while they were digging everything out. They took out one of the fence panels to get the equipment in. They did not secure it back and one of my dogs got out. I left town for several days. No one was here to bother them for days. They laid turf and sod but the sprinklers still weren’t fixed so my new sod went without water for a week. I come home and the sod is brown. I turn the sprinklers on and water comes up through the concrete and other places. They got the new fence up but it took weeks to get it stained plus they stained part of it the wrong color. While staining the front fence they kept leaving the gate open. I told them repeatedly not to leave it open because one of my dogs was going to run. They didn’t listen and another dog got out. The concrete guys stained the concrete incorrectly and the stained just wiped off. Every time they came back to fix something they made it worse or broke something else. The guy who started the job left town so I had David come over so I could show him everything that was wrong. He walked through the yard with me. I told him I did not want his crew back in my yard because they just kept letting my dogs out. I told him I was not paying full price because the job wasn’t finished. He knocked $1500 off a $22,000 job. He said it was because there was no way to satisfy me. This is after they shot nails all the way through to the other side when they put the fence up. I’m not that hard to please. I just expect a job done right without losing my dogs. Do not use them. I promise you’ll be hard to please as well.

David displayed knowledge, professionalism and interest in me as a customer. His price was fair and the work was completed on time, in accordance with what we agreed on. The crew was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, taking very good care of my property. I would use them again and highly recommend their lawn installation to others.

They come on time and do a great job. They work hard and pay attention to detail. Although I think the prices are a little high for the size of my small lawns just to mow.

Coby and his team did tree trimming and clean up at my home today. Coby did an outstanding job of trimming the trees and shrubs and cleaning underneath them. Plus the clean up of his work was amazing. Highly recommend.
