After the 2024 Derecho and Hurricane Beryl we lost over a week of power between the two events and decided enough was enough. So, we started looking around for a standby generator - calling over 10 companies to get quotes. We got a few quotes within the next 2-3 weeks, and Jonathan L. with Strategic Electric got to use first and had the best price (especially since I personally wanted a non-Generac unit). We got a 22kW Briggs & Stratton generator installed October 2024 (about 3 months after signing with Strategic, but the hold up was CenterPoint’s approval and not Strategic), and luckily have only had to use it a few times for small outages.

We recently (May 2025) had Strategic back out to inspect as we go into hurricane season and also had them add the remote monitoring so that Strategic will get notified of any errors. Both the initial install and follow-up crews were extremely courteous and a joy to work with. Highly recommend giving Jonathan a call!

Brand new house that they wired.
When I had a faulty breaker (under warranty) I made an appointment for the repair and the “no showed” twice.
Now I have light fixtures going out (21/2 years old. It’s not under warranty but it shouldn’t go out in 21/2 years. I’ll pay someone else to fix it.
I’ll never use them nor let them contract on my next house.

We had 2 buildings with meter boxes and primary disconnects that had to be replaced for insurance reasons. It was hot like 94 to 95 degrees.

Building 1
We had 6 meter boxes and 5 breaker panels that needed replacement while the residencies were occupied. This had to be done in 1 day. Other electricians were not up to the challenge. Ben, after assessing the condition of the system indicated that it could be completed in 1 day with proper preparation. I had doubts. I think he spent over a week getting permits, materials and other miscellaneous things done. On the day of the project I thought about canceling everything, we talked early that morning and I asked him 1 thing "Can you get this done in one day?" So we continued on with building 1.
Those guys actually got it done, passed inspection and power was up before tenants got home from work.

Building 2
Everything was scheduled just like bldg 1 except AEP was very late with a service disconnect, when I say late I mean 4 hrs. This was going to be a disaster, I was thinking, in addition, I thought a pitchfork and torches situation was going to happen when people started to get home from work. These guys worked like a well oiled machine with no breaks and true focus on task accomplishment. Inspector arrived - passed. AEP arrived and got service connected. Again, this got done before people got home from work and that was the goal.

I want to give a big thank you to Misty for all the help she did to get my sister n laws electricity fixed. She and her crew went above and beyond to get her back up and running. Thank you!!!

Was told $125 call out charge. If it was going to be more than that I would be informed before the work was done, because it would be warranty work for my home. Ended up charging me $150 call out, plus hour drive time. From angleton to Clute. They was here for an hour at most. Cost me $350 to disconnect a neutral wire for an hours worth of work. (Took them a bit to find the problem) They never called me back. So if you want to pay $350 an hour for residential electrical work this is your place. Keep in mind same company was here a year before and only charged me the $125 call out charge for an hour of work.

We have a older house with mostly old and very outdated wiring. We decided to do some upgrades to our lighting that has been well overdue. So we called Ben and discussed what we were looking for and Ben came out right away to get a look at our house. He made some awesome suggestions of what could be done and we went with it.  They were able to start right away, which I was a little leary of because we had company coming into town and I was worried about having a mess, however, it was planned out so well that there was nothing out of place by the time company arrived. Of course with it being an old house there were a few obstacles to get around but that didn't slow the process. They were able to get right on it and solve the hidden issues and still complete the entire project on time.  The quality of his work is beyond outstanding and I can't express enough how ecstatic I am with how it all turned out. I will definitely hire Ben again for any future need and highly suggest him to anyone else.

We used Ben and his team to install a whole-home generator. They were great to work with. Reasonably priced, showed up when they said they would, and went above what their actual role was (Ben basically coordinated the whole project even though he was really only responsible for the electrical part). Highly recommend!

I had them install a new breaker box for me a little over a year ago and I've been having issues with flickering lights since. I decided to call to have them come out and check what's going on and they told me it was the electric company, which is fine, but after 15min and no actual work done they expected 150$ when I wasn't told there would be any charge in the first place. If they had told me there was a charge in the first place, I honestly would have found someone else with a more reasonable fee for coming out to say "not my problem".

I called the electric company and they said it wasn't anything they could fix, so I have no idea whose fault it is really but I guess we're just going to live with it.
