Capitol Tree Care

The first time I saw what is now my home, I remember looking out the bedroom window and seeing the dry creek bed behind it. The view was really nice and that is a big part of what sold me on the house. Even so, the view was quite obstructed. On top of that, one of my oaks had so much deadwood in it that it was hanging down and touching the table on my patio. Pretty much all the trees were overgrown on my property and now seemed like a good time to finally get the trees taken care of.

I looked online for reputable tree care companies and found Capitol Tree Care had good recommendations. I checked out their website and felt like it was worth giving them a call. The lady at their office (Sorry I forgot your name! I have the others' written down!) was very friendly and got things scheduled for a quote. James, the owner of the company, came out to scope the work. He was also very friendly and clearly quite knowledgeable. He was very happy to work with me on scheduling and recommended I pay by the day for a big job as it'd be a better deal than paying per project. This worked out especially well since there were lots of little jobs. Scheduling for the work to happen went well, although my one tiny complaint would be that I never got an email or a text for the final appointment date. Thankfully I'd written it down myself.

Fast forward to last week, the crew shows up on Wednesday. Specifically, Brian, Nico and Warren showed up for this job, and they quickly got to work. Like James, they were very friendly and knowledgeable so it seems like that's part of the company culture. These three were thorough! They started out front and worked their way back. After the first day the results were already astounding. By the end of the second day I was already quite impressed. But oh boy I had no idea how things would look by the end of the third day. The view of the creek that had sold me on this house pales in comparison the view I have now thanks to these three! I was honestly dumbfounded when I first saw it. And the yard as a whole just feels so much more spacious! It's quite a transformation.

On the third day toward the end of their time here, I saw the crew was removing a lot of leaves from the property as well. This was unexpected, but really did show their attention to detail. Remember, I'm paying by the day. I was not charged any more for this. They could have called it a day by then and I'd still have been happy. This isn't the only example of that attention to detail but it's a good one. In a world where good service is so hard to find, I really appreciate the little things like that. The fact that thought went into it.

Anyway, while I don't expect to have any reason to hire Capitol Tree Care anytime soon because they've already done such a thorough job, I definitely will hire them again the next time I do need their services! I can highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done in the area!

I’ve used Capitol Tree Care for several years. James, the arborist, does a great job of watching over my 300+ year old oak. But I also use them for tree trimming and today they removed our damaged Bradford pear tree. They consistently are the most reasonable price when I get competing bids, and their work meets and usually exceeds expectations. Todays crew (Brian, Nico, and Cargil) were possibly the best we’ve used!
