Big Guys Restoration to the rescue. Along with many others across the city, Feb '21, the winter storm in Austin caused my tankless hot water heater to burst sending water pouring down the wall of my garage.

I immediately called Big Guys Restoration...and even though they were swamped with emergency calls, they still came by to assess the damage in my garage and helped me develop a plan.

While I had already cut into the wall to begin the drying process, Big Guys restoration performed moisture tests and recommended the other spots that needed to be checked, dried and repaired.

I very much appreciated Big Guy's Restoration service. My garage damage was not as urgent as others in the city, but Big Guys still gave me first class attention, worked me into their schedule, and gave my family peace of mind.

I truly appreciate their service!

Looking for a local business and reached Daniel who was able to schedule me in for the next day. Communication was great and Daniel arrived on time and initial results look good. Expected to need to wait for carpet and tile to dry which I’ll check tomorrow. So plan on time for that.

Where to begin… The folks working at Big Guys are awesome. It’s obvious they actually want to do a great job for their customers. It’s also apparent that they take pride in their work and reputation, and the quality of their work and their customer support reflects that.

I had a very slow roof leak that eventually caused mold damage before we noticed any drywall damage. The home builder contacted Big Guys, and they jumped on it almost immediately. I happened to mention that my wife was 8 months pregnant, and they actually prioritized the work to try to get all the mold remediated before the baby arrived! What other company would care enough to do that and work with a customer’s personal circumstances!? That was a HUGE help and I’m sure any new parent would agree is an immense stress relief.

Before anyone went to my house, I got a call from Leathea, who was great from day one until the very end. She warned me the work would be intrusive and frustrating, but she clearly explained to me why that was the case and how mold greatly complicates the situation. Trust me, it was incredibly frustrating, but please don’t fault Big Guys for that - they’re simply following protocols and are doing everything in their power to make sure your house is properly remediated and that your safety is never in question. Leathea kept me filled in during the whole process, and she never hesitated to make herself available for a phone call or text message to answer any of my questions.

As for the work, I was helped by Tylor and Bryan. These two did an amazing job clearing out the mold. When the assessor came out to take air samples to approve the remediation, he actually commented to me, “This was a very good job. These guys took good care of you”. Hearing that from someone with 25 years of experience definitely gives you some reassurance! Also, I noticed that Tylor and Bryan were very careful in my house. It seems every time I have a cable technician, plumber, or some other repairman in my house, they bump the walls with their tool belts, dirty my floors with their shoes, and are generally pretty careless. Tylor and Bryan, however, were very careful, and I could tell they were trying to not bump anything as they carried equipment and bags of garbage across my house. At the end of the job, there wasn’t even so much as a scuff on the wall - amazing! They were also very friendly and knowledgeable.

The work ended up taking about a month, but the majority of that was waiting on assessor inspections or test results and waiting on air purifiers and dehumidifiers to do their thing (and Big Guys was able to remediate the mold before the baby was born). During that whole time, I was frequently kept informed and updated by Leathea, as mentioned earlier. But, I even got a couple of calls from the owner, Charlton, for some of the nitty-gritty details (I tend to ask a lot of questions). Again, I don’t know what other company would provide that level of support and transparency.

I cannot recommend them enough. They worked with me very closely through a difficult and stressful time, and I could tell they were doing all that was in their power to minimize that stress and to help me how they could. And on top of all that, they did an excellent job! Give them a call for your next big job!

Wade was absolutely wonderful just like the last time he did my carpets in my other apartment. I cannot be more happy with the experience that I had and got.

Here's another big thumbs up for Brandon and his team at Big Guys. Had a water disaster plumbing leak that wrecked wood flooring. Brandon was one of the first on the scene in charge of the dry out process. Most impressed with the way he kept in touch, communicated what would be happening, when it would be happening and why. He and all the Big Guys were polite, professional, and careful with everything they touched. It was very nice to work with Brandon because he really cared about doing a good job and taking care of me during a very stressful event!

Good price, excellent work. I would highly recommend them.

Had Big Guys and sister company SteamDoc work on deep cleaning all my wood and tile floors. We though replacement might be needed, but the Big Guys flooring experts cleaning made the flooring look like a new install. Awesome.

Brandon and Freddy were great! They helped me to fix an ongoing issue at my home. Our dryer vent needed cleaning bc we could t dry our clothes properly. What I loved is that they wouldn’t give up until it was completely fixed. I would recommend them to anyone and certainly use them again.

They did such a great job on our carpets in our bedrooms-removed all the small stains that have been set for a couple of years we haven’t been able to remove! Andrew was very responsive, efficient and friendly! Will def use again and recommend!

Even though I didn’t have the best experience with Big Guys Restoration & Flooring, Barry’s dedication to the project was outstanding. He did everything in his power to ensure the job would be completed on time. I appreciate his hard work and efforts.

I did do this review twice just because it popped up under my other email name, but Wade was spectacular. I have used Wade once before and I kind of thought I did but it was 100% sure until he showed up and I cannot be more happy as always with the work that I got done both times it was spectacular service

Big Guys Restoration were exactly the type of company I was looking for. They were honest with their inspections, work, and pricing. The build back cost was more than I expected and went with another company. That was a personal preference, nothing against BGR. You get what you pay for…so I'm sure they would've done a great job on the build back.

Wade and his partner cleaned and sealed my tile floor. My floors look amazing! They responded to my inquiry quickly, they were able to schedule my cleaning in a few days. They communicated with me, arrived on time and they went above and beyond. Highly Recommended!

My dog ate something she wasn’t supposed to eat. I woke up to a horrible smell and mess on my carpet. I spoke with one of the owners and We chatted about non-carpet things for a while after I made the decisions on what services I wanted. Andrew the technician showed up super sweet fella. I broke my back multiple times and when I went to move things that I left in the way. He Was quick to offer to help. I’ve had so many times were the carpet looks fantastic when it’s wet. But once it dries you’re like oh what happened. This was not the case with his service. My carpets dry and looks fantastic. And that’s a hard thing to do considering it’s 28 years old. I highly recommend this company. And thank them for doing such a fantastic job and being so kind.

Another company did floor tile repair work in our home and did not setup any containment or furniture protection. When they finished they left the job with zero cleanup and our interior was covered in tile dust and fragments making it difficult to even breathe. Brandon and his crew from Big Guys Restoration came at the exact scheduled time, assessed the condition and determined that we would need air scrubbers to remove the fine dust... completely cleaned every surface including four expensive leather sofas and chairs and cleaned HVAC ducts. This was a dirty job that they did with professionalism, great communication and JOY! We highly recommend Big Guys Restoration and Flooring, Brandon and his crew and the management of the company for providing excellent service.

Just all around happy with Big Guys. We had a very bad experience with another flooring company and BG came to look it all over and help us verify all was okay. So we stuck with them and got all pur floors done through them. Paula I great. The flooring crew (Rudy and them) were awesome. We are so happy with our floors and getting our house back to "normal". We will absolutely call them if we ever need their services again.

Steamdoc provided an incredible service from start to finish. I was very impressed with the lady who scheduled our appointment. She was able to provide answers all my questions.
Andrew Jenkins did an excellent job with tile and grout cleaning. My tile and grout looks brand new. I will definitely recommend these folks if you are looking for getting the grout cleaning done.

We are very satisfied with the carpet cleaning and pet stain treatment they provided. The guy that provided the service was very thorough and seemed to have gone above and beyond in doing his job! He was pleasant and respectful. This is our second time using this company for carpet cleaning services and they outdid themselves from our last great experience! We will definitely be using them in the future. Highly recommend!
