Constraction reviews in Corpus Christi, Texas

Was I crazy to hire a contractor that would be doing his work while I would be traveling overseas? You might think yes, but once you meet Russell, you know you are in good hands. Impeccable attention to detail, absolute cleanliness and protection of the workspace, on time, accurate and quality work. Communication? Of course! Under budget, and called out problems as they appeared, recommended solutions and executed 2 bathrooms remodel, reconfiguration of electrical, installation of attic stairs, pantry shelves, a bookcase, and improved a/c ventilation in a small laundry room as well as built out a master closet. In a coastal environment one must be on high alert to prevent and mitigate potential moisture problems, and no detail was missed. Words cannot describe how beautiful the team's work is, and in such an orderly and well communicated process. What a pleasure to work with!

We saved up for a kitchen remodel and the finished work was better than we could have imagined. Ceiling repair in our hallway really timely and great results. Electrical work, lighting, plumbing, cabinets, all outstanding.

This is a wonderful company. They are always available and their work is beautiful they treat you like family. Everyone that came to work here from their crew worked hard and made sure everything was perfect. They were great. Darren, the owner, and his beautiful wife were always checking to see how everything was going. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

We have had the pleasure of having Christensen Custom Homes build our dream home for us on Padre Island. Building our custom home with Darren and Alexis was an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. Their professionalism, integrity, creativity, and attention to detail turned what could have been a stressful process into one that was smooth, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding.

From the very beginning, Darren and Alexis listened carefully to our vision and brought it to life with stunning precision. We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Every detail—from the craftsmanship to the design —reflected their high standards and pride in their work.

Their communication was outstanding. They listened to our vision, offered creative solutions, and kept us informed every step of process. Any questions were handled promptly and with genuine care.

The finished home exceeded our expectations. Darren and Alexis have a rare combination of expertise, and genuine passion for what they do, and it shows in every detail. The home feels both beautifully designed and solidly built, and it’s clear that quality was never sacrificed for speed or convenience.

We’ve heard so many horror stories about homebuilding, but our experience was the complete opposite—smooth, transparent, and enjoyable. We would wholeheartedly recommend Christensen Custom Homes to anyone who values craftsmanship, communication, and trust. They truly delivered our dream home!

We had a great experience working with Christensen Custom Homes. They were professional and did excellent work in our home. The quality was top-notch. The crew was respectful, clean, and paid attention to every detail. We’re extremely happy with the results and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.

As a top-producing local Realtor, I’m very intentional about who I refer my luxury clients to—and Christensen Custom Homes is always at the top of that list. Building at a high level in a coastal, high-salinity environment requires deep knowledge, precision, and experience, and their team truly understands how to do it right.

Their commitment to quality construction, thoughtful materials, and long-term durability sets them apart in this market. Equally impressive is their communication, attention to detail, and concierge-style approach throughout the entire process. They don’t just build beautiful homes—they deliver confidence, professionalism, and a seamless experience.

If you’re looking for a builder who understands coastal construction at an elevated level and consistently exceeds expectations, Christensen Custom Homes is an easy recommendation.

Darren and Alexis streamlined the process for my recent build at Palmilla Beach providing personalized recommendations, creative troubleshooting on design, and competitive selections to stay within budget. We built a beautiful 5 bedroom 5.5 bath in a 2330 footprint maximizing square footage while not compromising on an elegant design and function. Christensen Homes was instrumental in helping me build my dream vacation rental to maximize my earnings while not sacrificing luxury as a second home. The trim wood work, built-in bunk beds, and custom tile are high quality and beautiful. I highly recommend Christensen Custom Homes for new builds and remodeling.

Not what I expected from a professional company, not a very neat job, also there's a couple places where I could see the outside plywood, and they covered one of my pipes going out to the roof for venting. I'm a bit disappointed, they did come back to “fix” the mess, but still not what I expected from a professional company. I saw pictures from other spray foam genie companies and the jobs are very neat, I wish mine would have looked as neat. Also, there’s overspray everywhere, the guys doing sheet rock said they’re going to have to clean up before they can start. I wish there was a way to post pictures to show what type of job this company did.

Everything went well with Spray Foam Genie!!! Found this service through the app called Thumbtack. Ted came out. I showed him my project. Gave me a quote and even added in a nice Veteran discount. Andrew and Jack arrived the very next day. Very professional employees. Calls were made to me with updates of my project, when they were leaving their area and giving me an estimated time of their areival. JOB WELL DONE!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Spray Foam Genie!!!

Amazing company, with true after sales service. Here is my story, my house is a
New build from fox home builders on the oso Bay Area. The AC system was underpowered and the ducts are all incorrectly installed. It would have cost me 20k to fix it… so I called this company to see if they could help Maybe fix the insulation and help with the efficiency of what I have. They came in, and finished the job in one day. The whole attic was covered. I was super concerned about the fumes, and all of that. It only took a few hours to get the stink out. The system works!! My AC bill went down by 30%. Here is why they get the fifth star. I had an issue with humidity and I called back to them to fix the situation. Ted the owner actually answers his phone and sent his crew to fix it right away. It wasn’t their fault the boards in the attic were warped and the house settled since the initial install. Best service ever. They stand by their product. Don’t hesitate to get them to your house, it will save you big money over time.

My experience with SFJ was great. Ted came out and put eyes on the job. I was then emailed with a detailed quote. We set a date and I was called the day before to make sure we were ready. Although we were delayed by a day on my part, they worked with me on the set back and started promptly the next day.

The crew came out and explained the process and got started on preparing the inside, taping plumbing, covering electrical outlets, panels and windows. The crew was very good at keeping me informed of their progress and showed up on time in the mornings. The clean up after the job was just as efficient.

This was for a small 1200 sq ft apartment on some property we purchased.a few ago. We will be building our forever home on this property in another few years and I will be using Spray Foam Genie again.

A very hard working individual who is willing to see your vision

Never fails to amaze me when I need work done. Thank you Robert for always caring for our family.
